  • Was looking at some pictures of it back in the day very similar to the royal mile. Can't believe how many beautiful buildings have been torn down and replaced with shite. Although I don't think I'll personally miss the old college bar, even if it was old. by R9bH9g (Wed 16th Jun 2021 10:53pm)

  • My understanding is that this is fine and legal. What was outlawed was a holding fee that was purely just to hold the flat and didn't come off the deposit and was non-refundable. I know several good letting agencies that do the 'securing' fee and I think it works well in giving a Tennant security in their application. by R9bH9g (Fri 3rd Dec 2021 5:38pm)
  • Iced coffees are included got one the other day, any barista drinks that also includes the smoothies by R9bH9g (Fri 15th Apr 2022 10:47am)
  • Glasgow could have had a historic centre similar to Edinburgh. Including the original university building, high street and gallowgate. You should also check out some paintings of the Molendinar burn which used to run down past the cathedral, the area was really beautiful. Unfortunately all this was lost due to the Victorians trying to modernise the city. Shame those lessons weren't learnt by the 60's/70's rolled round. by R9bH9g (Mon 24th Apr 2023 6:06pm)
  • Dunno about the others but Manchester definitely doesn't, it's a ring road by R9bH9g (Sun 28th May 2023 2:59pm)
  • Yeah and it goes around the city centre? It's also mainly elevated and has a lot less of an impact on the general feel of the city as compared to the hideous M8 by R9bH9g (Sun 28th May 2023 3:14pm)
  • Really don't think that's the case, easy comparison would be the impact of M74 compared to M8 in Glasgow. Also I lived in Manchester for a couple years and literally nobody complained about the Mancunian way as compared to M8. by R9bH9g (Sun 28th May 2023 4:47pm)

  • Yeah I was brought up on a council estate yet I'm posh cos I don't have a Glaswegian accent. Native Glaswegians can be very insular and think they own the Scottish accent when in reality there are a lot more Scottish people with different accents than share theirs. by R9bH9g (Tue 20th Jun 2023 2:13pm)
