  • Thanks for the advise. Guess I will have to talk to a mortgage advisor eventually anyways. Unfortunately, no rich dad for me... Just a cheap lifestyle by Sbsch95 (Fri 9th Sep 2022 12:31pm)

  • Anniesland for example. Sorry, I don't know the areas in Glasgow too well. I have only been there once by Sbsch95 (Fri 9th Sep 2022 1:02pm)
  • That is what I have feared. I guess it will be hard for me to compete most young professionals even... Are the offers you make on Rightmove or so legally binding? I have just started reading into it. If I understood it correctly I will have to hire a solicitor to make an official offer, is that true? by Sbsch95 (Fri 9th Sep 2022 1:00pm)
  • I see, thanks! I am not from Scotland or the UK so I don't know the local market and every country has different regulations etc. on buying/selling property. Answers like these are exactly what I was looking for by Sbsch95 (Fri 9th Sep 2022 1:13pm)
  • Am not interested in living close to the city centre anyways, so that might be a good option. Now it's time to look for a Mortage Advisor by Sbsch95 (Fri 9th Sep 2022 1:25pm)

  • For those interested I will give a short update: I talked to a mortgage advisor and they told me that I could get a mortgage of ~75k with a roughly 4% fixed interest rate. I am doing my PhD in a field that is in high demand which comes to my benefit and also have enough funds to make a descent down payment in price range I was looking at - obviously that's also beneficial. by Sbsch95 (Wed 14th Sep 2022 9:03pm)
