  • Quite often they will take heroin as well and whilst they swallow the methadone in front of professionals, they will go outside and regurgitate it into a cup to sell. by SneakyFcknRusky (Thu 3rd Dec 2020 8:49am)
  • The majority of the public cannot have a sensible drink in a park and that’s why these bye-laws were enacted in the first place. The drinking culture in Scotland and especially the Greater Glasgow area causes huge amounts of disorder. Saying that the ones who can’t follow it are the ones who will flout it and therefore there is no point in enforcing it remove the power of the Police to effectively deal with these people before they become disorderly and seriously affect how others feel. by SneakyFcknRusky (Thu 31st Dec 2020 12:03pm)
  • It’s not that the law prevents disorder but it is a good first step to reducing it. Has everyone forgotten how bad the football violence was in this country and it was primarily fuelled by drinking or the huge gathering in Glasgow Green that became violent because of idiots trying to tan a bottle of Bucky in one go. Granted saying the majority is probably wrong but certainly tens of thousands within the Greater Glasgow area were ruining it for everyone. I think there should be designated zones like the Green space at Rotten Row etc but if you go to the four corners and the Heilanmans Umbrella you’ll find it pretty hostile these days. by SneakyFcknRusky (Thu 31st Dec 2020 2:53pm)

  • There’s a lot of activity with IV drug users in the area but generally isn’t much in the way of crime against persons. I’d recommend if you’re getting a bike that it is properly secured because they get stolen a lot in the city. Depending on your neighbours it’ll probably completely fine. by SneakyFcknRusky (Sun 21st Feb 2021 1:25am)
  • It’s nothing to do with COVID legislation. It’s part of the entry conditions to the park set out by Glasgow City Council. The police are only there to assist the council of things get out of hand. by SneakyFcknRusky (Sat 24th Apr 2021 9:38am)
  • This is from the park management rules: https://www.glasgow.gov.uk/Councillorsandcommittees/viewSelectedDocument.asp?c=P62AFQDNT1DXDNT10G Alcohol, drugs and solvents 8.1 Alcohol cannot be sold or supplied in any park except with the prior written consent of the Director and where a proper licence has been granted. 8.2 Alcohol cannot be consumed in any park, except with the prior written consent of the Director and in accordance with the Glasgow City Council Byelaws Prohibiting Consumption of Alcoholic Liquor in Designated Places. 8.3 No one who, in the opinion of any Authorised Officer of the Council, is under the influence of alcohol, drugs or solvents and is likely to cause annoyance, offence, alarm or distress to any other park user shall enter or remain in any park or buildings therein. Under these rules the council officers and Police with authorisation from the council have the power to prevent a person from entering. Being asked to open your bag is not a stop search as the person can leave at any time. by SneakyFcknRusky (Sat 24th Apr 2021 9:44am)
  • Yes but COVID legislation has no bearing on the parks regarding being stopped. It’s correct that police can enter without a warrant. This has always been the case under common law for certain circumstances. COVID legislation adds to this provided it’s for the purposes set out by it. I’ve linked the park rules below that the Police and Council are using to deal with anti-social behaviour in the park. https://www.glasgow.gov.uk/Councillorsandcommittees/viewSelectedDocument.asp?c=P62AFQDNT1DXDNT10G by SneakyFcknRusky (Sat 24th Apr 2021 10:12am)

  • If you’re spreading incorrect information about something that could have a serious outcome on their appeal then you should correct it so that people are not misinformed. It is frustrating to see people giving advice on matters they are not fully informed on. We’ve all been there though so take it on the chin. by SneakyFcknRusky (Thu 13th May 2021 3:14pm)

  • Not arguing against refraining from the use of the word. Do you think that the term junkie is more used in regards to a manner of behaviour whilst addicted as opposed solely to addiction. For example most would refer to a person engaging in ASB in the community a junkie, whereas someone who is a high functioning addict, holding down a job and engaging with others etc, would not be considered a junkie and merely someone with a problem? I think most people don’t have an issue with addiction but the anti social behaviour that some people become involved in. by SneakyFcknRusky (Sat 5th Mar 2022 10:01pm)
  • If you call police regarding this then they have the power to ask them to stop. If they do not stop the equipment can be seized and held at their cost or destroyed and they’re given a fine. S54 Civic Government Scotland Act 1982 is the relevant offence. by SneakyFcknRusky (Sat 19th Mar 2022 4:43pm)

  • None of this is correct. The PF doesn’t handle complaints. Any complaints against police are automatically referred to the PF for scrutiny. They do not have to provide a copy of the warrant. The warrant is read to the subject of the warrant and persons within. The sheriff gives the warrant based on the information or it’s a justice of the peace usually. They didn’t question him evidentially as it was to ascertain identity. An illegal interview is in reference to an allegation of an offence. He was not alleged or charged with an offence. Record of search is not given to the subject of the search. If the OP wishes to do this correctly, complain to the Police and await an outcome. If they are unsatisfied with the outcome they can escalate it to PIRC. It will be taken seriously as it’s audited by HMICS regularly. If they’re still not satisfied they can launch a claim in a civil court for damages. by SneakyFcknRusky (Tue 28th Jun 2022 9:47pm)
  • The warrant is specific to the address as he’s stated in his post. I’m not going to argue with you about it since you’ve been incorrect on every single point and not willing to accept it. You’ve made assumptions based on your opinions and what you think is correct. by SneakyFcknRusky (Tue 28th Jun 2022 10:01pm)
  • Ive been a cop in both England and Scotland. I’d suggest not giving incorrect advice based on English law in Scotland as it’s different. by SneakyFcknRusky (Tue 28th Jun 2022 10:23pm)
  • I didn’t bother since you’re probably talking nonsense about studying law in Scotland and being a cop. First you keep referring to the sheriff as a judge. You’d get laughed out a court for that. You have a vague understanding of English law at best. You’ve got no understanding of Scot’s law whatsoever. I haven’t bothered to address your points again as I gave a full breakdown in my first post in which I corrected you. You’ve decided to go in a huff over the fact you’ve been called out on your wrong information and decided to try insult me over it. I’d suggest giving it a rest. This is my final post regarding you. by SneakyFcknRusky (Tue 28th Jun 2022 10:54pm)

  • You’ll get a recorded police warning if you’re found in possession of personal amounts of any drug for a first time offence. You need to have a valid address. It’s not disclosable and it’s removed after 6 months. You can get two in six month. Any drugs will be destroyed or confiscated. Custody would not accept you if you were brought in for possession so you wouldn’t spend time in a cell. by SneakyFcknRusky (Fri 19th Aug 2022 11:50pm)
  • Some people sit in their flat in relative silence and expect everyone else to do the same. They don’t often know that the people below them will hear the noises they make but aren’t being overly sensitive. If the noise is during the day and simply living noise just ignore their demands. by SneakyFcknRusky (Thu 24th Nov 2022 4:10pm)
  • Blue badges can be used by passengers being driven to a place. For example a blind person may get a friend who owns a n Audi TT to take the somewhere and use their blue badge to park close. Their mobility for getting in and out the vehicle is fine but they’re benefiting from the reduced distance. by SneakyFcknRusky (Sat 3rd Dec 2022 10:02am)
