  • Thanks! I heard about the traffic lights and Subway sign, figure any green shirts I have will stay packed for a while... by Splend42 (Sun 28th Aug 2022 9:40pm)
  • That's encouraging, thanks! I don't follow football anyway so hopefully I'll avoid some of it that way! by Splend42 (Sun 28th Aug 2022 9:55pm)
  • Thanks, will make sure that's in the calendar as Run Away Back To Nottingham For The Day by Splend42 (Sun 28th Aug 2022 10:20pm)

  • Thanks! I'm starting to feel less YIKES about it now - as you and another commenter said, most of the people who've said they lived in/near Larkhall have said it's as nice/shit as pretty much anywhere else, so that's encouraging. by Splend42 (Mon 29th Aug 2022 10:07am)
  • There's an app called WeBuyBooks that you can try, you basically scan the barcode and it tells you if they want it and how much they'll give you. Probably a last resort, though, as they don't take everything and they don't seem to pay much. But hey, at least it gets them out the house. by Splend42 (Thu 1st Sep 2022 7:00pm)
  • My only advice is from experience with English assessments, so hopefully ADP is (as has been said here) a kinder and more humane procedure. That said, the advice: tell them what your condition is like *on your worst days*. Don't try to hedge with 'sometimes I can...'. I know it's hard (especially if the assessment is on a decent day) but they'll take what you say for their evaluation, and if you say 'sometimes I can make a tea", they'll evaluate it as 'they can make tea'. My metamour's mum said that on a good day they can boil a potato (or words to that effect), and the response was that that if they could boil a potato then they can make a meal. Which, er, no. Again, though, this is what we experienced down in England. Hopefully it's better up here, as folks have suggested. by Splend42 (Tue 27th Sep 2022 1:18pm)
  • She's divorced. She kept the name so now she goes by Ms. Falafel, but she's eyeing up Shwarma King and has her sights set on queendom. by Splend42 (Wed 22nd Feb 2023 10:18am)
  • I thought this said "joining a cult" and I was up for it for a second. by Splend42 (Sat 25th Feb 2023 4:33pm)
