  • They're everywhere. I hit a pothole on the M74 just south of Hamilton that threw the car to one side, dented the fecking alloys on the drivers side. One week later...Still there. by Stengah71 (Wed 24th Mar 2021 10:16pm)
  • I love Dockyard Social in Finnieston. by Stengah71 (Sat 10th Apr 2021 8:46am)
  • Its a bit unique in Glasgow. Its like a mini "Time Out" in Lisbon. Basically a converted warehouse with indoors "Street food" vendors and a bar. Very relaxed, I love it and so do my kids. Hillhead bookclub is a good wee pub restaurant too by the way. Cheap as chips but food is great. by Stengah71 (Sun 11th Apr 2021 7:10pm)

  • 1991. I'm a dafty from Inverness. 20 years old, student in Edinburgh through in Glasgow for the day. Byres Road orange march. I come out of Tennents bar to buy fags and dodge through the band to get ti the shop. Chased by bowler hatted men and threatened by a fucking policeman. First introduction to that shite. by Stengah71 (Sat 18th Sep 2021 4:30pm)

  • Depends what you fancy I suppose but I like the westend. Roastid Bubbly Jocks is small and bustling, Ubiquitous Chip is proper westend wanky in a good way, and if you go early before the hipsters get there, Hillhead Bookclub is cheap as chips. It's also just off the underground so you can get there easy from the city centre. by Stengah71 (Thu 3rd Feb 2022 10:31pm)

  • Hello. Try your local demolition company or asbestos removal company. Get two or three prices. Make sure they have trained people, asbestos cement in good condition is non licensed work. Damaged or friable sheets are maybe notifiable non licensed. Main costs associated with AC is disposal as it very expensive so beware really cheap prices as they may be fly tipping. I'd try Enviraz, Jax or your local NFDC registered demo company. by Stengah71 (Mon 7th Mar 2022 9:48am)
  • Get a part time job with your local demolition firm and say you only want to "soft strip". by Stengah71 (Wed 9th Mar 2022 7:16pm)

  • Not sure why you're being down voted. "Cunts" might be harsh but it's factually true. by Stengah71 (Thu 24th Mar 2022 5:56pm)
  • Store gas, not create it. Became obsolete when gas was stored pressurised in the mains. (I'm pretty sure). by Stengah71 (Sat 26th Mar 2022 12:57pm)

  • Four or five years ago I was a freelance project manager and was covering sites in Sighthill, Scotstoun, Maryhill and few other sites close enough to my home to cycle. I gave up after two weeks. It was just too dangerous. If it wasn't the cunts it was the distracted, the doddery or the just bad drivers. by Stengah71 (Fri 29th Apr 2022 8:24pm)

  • Aye it kind of is.....but my main point is that half of Glasgow isn't like that. "Scotlands Shame" doesn't make up 100% of Glasgow....and there's absolutely two sides to that shame. by Stengah71 (Fri 3rd Jun 2022 1:30pm)

  • I go to gigs on my own all the time. Some of the bands im into none of my friends are into and I also work away from home, so i go to gigs in the places I'm working in. I do prefer going with pals or my wife but wouldn't give up going on my own. Met some nice people, had some good times. I definitely wouldn't miss out on seeing a band just because I'd be going on my own. by Stengah71 (Sun 30th Oct 2022 8:01am)

  • I work in demolition. The amount of city centre building strip out jobs we're doing to facilitate new office space is mind boggling. Both Glasgow and Edinburgh with some even adding an additional floor. Seems to go against all WFH projections. by Stengah71 (Sat 4th Feb 2023 4:00pm)
  • This is only half an answer as I'm unsure of the technology but... I went to a wedding recently where guests were encouraged to take photos during the day and upload them via a link they were given. The married couple chose photos from the ones uploaded. Surprisingly good results too. The guests could only upload the photos, not view them. by Stengah71 (Sun 5th Feb 2023 9:24am)

  • If the belt worked noone would have got the belt. Shout out to Steven Tuddenham who got five lashes off Fanny Allan in my French Class. Took four skelps with a smile on his face then wheeched his hands out the way for the fifth and Fanny skelped her shins with the belt.
