  • I just got back from the govanhill lidl and it was rammed - queues longer than i’ve seen in there and every other person holding at least one pack of toilet paper I grabbed the last one anyway thought might as well stock up by Tendaydaze (Mon 9th Mar 2020 6:59pm)
  • Speak to Living Rent, the tenant’s union. They’re the best for things like this. by Tendaydaze (Tue 14th Apr 2020 11:11am)
  • I moved to Scotland - Glasgow specifically - rather than back to England for the same reasons as you say and have had nothing but positive experiences with people so far. We’re not English - we’re new Scots. by Tendaydaze (Fri 1st May 2020 9:31pm)
  • Came to say this, literally just eaten a wild garlic pesto pasta made with the stuff from there, was great by Tendaydaze (Thu 7th May 2020 8:34pm)

  • Friend left their phone on a first bus the other day - they said due to covid they couldn’t give it back and then destroyed it. She’s a key worker working in care. Real classy first bus by Tendaydaze (Fri 7th Aug 2020 6:42pm)
  • It’s always the people that don’t live in Govanhill that shit on it. Partner works in the East End and says people there hear where she lives and just rant about how dangerous, dirty, etc etc it is, but they never leave the East End, which is a whole lot shitter. The East End’s primarily white so we don’t hear about that from racists do we? by Tendaydaze (Fri 18th Dec 2020 2:39pm)
  • Yeah you’re right. Had the red mist a little bit the other day seeing everyone talk down Govanhill everywhere. by Tendaydaze (Sat 19th Dec 2020 8:45am)

  • They spelled it right both times in that link? by Tendaydaze (Tue 24th Aug 2021 10:36pm)
  • I’ve seen the opposite from police advising about this spate of thefts. Thieves expect the keys to be near the front door - they want an easy grab and run, not a rustle about. If they don’t find them by the door they tend to leave, not look deeper. by Tendaydaze (Sat 2nd Oct 2021 2:49pm)
  • Said this above but repeating it here. Ibrox is already Gaelic. It means badger den. by Tendaydaze (Sun 12th Dec 2021 5:39pm)

  • It’s a Glasgow thing. Have lived and worked all over and when I moved here I noticed almost immediately how people go through dying orange lights/straight reds here way more than anywhere else by Tendaydaze (Mon 1st Aug 2022 9:35pm)
  • Not saying it doesn’t happen elsewhere - just that it happens way more in Glasgow. Have been to Aberdeen a few times and not noticed it to be as standard as it is here by Tendaydaze (Tue 2nd Aug 2022 2:15pm)
  • Inflation pushed it up to £4 a wrap now but falafel to go on sauchiehall street is v good by Tendaydaze (Tue 9th Aug 2022 12:30am)
  • It’s all over the southside as well. Growing on banks in Pollok where I’ve not seen it before. Give it a wide berth but would prefer it all dead by Tendaydaze (Mon 15th Aug 2022 9:45pm)
  • Sympathy. They are awful. And are back in 6 months even if they ever do get patched up. Cycling in the heavy rain you just have to try and remember where the worst ones are and avoid them basically blind by Tendaydaze (Wed 16th Nov 2022 10:13pm)
  • It’s £4 now. Inflationary pressures by Tendaydaze (Thu 17th Nov 2022 10:20am)
  • Definitely still worth it. Although it is just the one person working away so not sure about queueing with ten 14 year olds. Side note, tried the police box up the way which is basically copying falafel2go’s entire thing and it was not worth it by Tendaydaze (Thu 17th Nov 2022 11:42am)

  • I was in G41 bar the other day and noticed they’ve got one. It’s nice in there, live music often by Tendaydaze (Mon 16th Jan 2023 8:16pm)

  • Go on freecycle, press enter on a blank search box so it just shows you everything within 2 miles or whatever, then sort by price ascending. It’ll show you all the free stuff in your area. Beds, sofas, tables, chairs are very common on there. Should be a doddle if you can organise pick up. Good luck by Tendaydaze (Sun 12th Mar 2023 9:28am)
  • Oh sorry I meant gumtree! Have edited by Tendaydaze (Sun 12th Mar 2023 11:09am)

  • In Pollok Park there are fences and the vast majority of people walk along them with dogs off lead without an issue. This owner was clearly irresponsible as fuck and does not have any control over the animal (repeatedly shouting its name but no actual command - other than ‘don’t do that’ which the dog won’t understand - is a basic error). So yeah, this person’s a stupid prick, but that doesn’t mean the 99.9% of dog owners who walk their dogs off lead in Pollok Park are also at fault by Tendaydaze (Sun 26th Mar 2023 11:39am)
  • Whisky does not equal Scotch by Tendaydaze (Tue 4th Apr 2023 7:06pm)

  • Someone who hasn’t swallowed whole the definition of woke pushed by bad actors like a useful idiot by Tendaydaze (Thu 11th May 2023 8:26pm)
  • If you go to Pollok park, go to the main house, cross the bridge and take an immediate left into the field, walk along and there’s a few bits of woodland along the river that basically no one ever goes to. Everyone sticks to the tarmaced path on the river’s north side by Tendaydaze (Sat 13th May 2023 1:42pm)
  • Forget places with brick walls? by Tendaydaze (Fri 7th Jul 2023 1:29pm)
  • I downvoted you for the long rant added on after the fact if that helps by Tendaydaze (Mon 9th Oct 2023 12:06am)
  • *six courses. Hence ‘six by nico’. Agree though. I liked it the first time I went but have been ~three times since and it’s gotten worse each time. It has become more and more like a chain restaurant’s imitation of what a good tasting menu should be by Tendaydaze (Sun 19th Nov 2023 11:29am)
