  • Is there a good place for stationery in Glasgow? Envelopes, post it notes, pens, maybe some small whiteboards. Or maybe more apt any expensive shops to avoid? Like WH Smith - I'm not sure that was just a guess, I know it's expensive for water, crisps and the like. Thanks in advance. by TerryMcCannMinder (Mon 5th Sep 2022 1:45pm)

  • This is the first time I've saw it on Redit. Saw it was on the side panel of the front page of The Digger during the summer. Haven't saw it but not sure if was on Reporting Scotland, STV News or newspapers? Thought the exact same. Wondering why it was not a much bigger story. by TerryMcCannMinder (Sat 7th Jan 2023 7:29pm)

  • North needs representation. No one from Glasgow refers to Barmulloch, Balornock, Springburn etc as East end. by TerryMcCannMinder (Sun 26th Feb 2023 4:11pm)
  • I was going to post this then thought might be best for The Steamie. Does anyone know when The Oasis I'm sure it was called closed down or know what it is now? It was the pub in the Gallowgate not on the main street. I remember it being open about 2002. Can't remember what time but it opened it doors earlier to served food and drink by TerryMcCannMinder (Fri 7th Apr 2023 8:20pm)
  • I remember the copy you were talking about. I'm sure the ending was different? Memories are hazy though. Good luck in getting the track hope it comes. Have you read the book? There's a Glasgow character in it, not too big a part but was disappointed that the Scottish part wasn't in the film. It's part a trilogy The Football Factory, Headhunters, England Away. All of them good I read them a few year back can't mind much standing out about England Away but The Football Factory and Headhunters are good, especially The Football Factory. It's a brilliant book if you enjoyed the film. by TerryMcCannMinder (Fri 7th Apr 2023 8:28pm)
  • Aye correct it has its place. The youth loved it circa 2003/04. I'd recommend the Football Factory book. Working class male book for the early/mid 90s but still a good read today. by TerryMcCannMinder (Sat 8th Apr 2023 6:44am)
  • Yes, and if the dogs a bit of attention or the odd clap they'll get it too. I've been 2 or 3 times with my dog and it's been a good experience. by TerryMcCannMinder (Sat 15th Apr 2023 4:46pm)

  • Sorry to jump in, also wondering is there anywhere in Glasgow that's open later for swimming and sauna? Most places I've saw close 2100/2200 at the latest. Sometimes I finish work late and would like a sauna and swim after but not saw any places that's open later. Weekends is even worse, I've saw places close 1600/1700. Any places that are open at a decent time at weekends? Disappointing that Glasgow Club haven't open up there sauna facilities. by TerryMcCannMinder (Thu 13th Jul 2023 8:49am)

  • How does/could sentencing get changed in Scotland? In theory from where could sentencing be made tougher in Scotland? Hollyrood, Westminster, something to do with Judges or the judiciary. It's been lenient for certain crimes for decades so it's been under all parties, I'm just wondering the workings of it. by TerryMcCannMinder (Tue 1st Aug 2023 10:58pm)

  • Looking for this as well. Same situation as yourself, prices are high. Now thinking of pricing up a basic wet room scenario with hygienic pvc wall cladding - basic if need be as long as it's hard wearing. I'm wondering how much cheaper that will be. Will be easier to clean too. by TerryMcCannMinder (Fri 24th Nov 2023 9:08pm)
