  • Thanks for this. I'm planning on starting slow & staying slow (aiming to pace at 8.9kph for first 6k). by TrinityTosser (Sat 18th Jun 2022 9:54am)
  • I've been put in the orange pen, which seems further forward than I'd expected as I entered my estimated as 1.07 (though tbh I'll be pleased if I just complete it). Does this seem right to you? by TrinityTosser (Sat 18th Jun 2022 9:52am)
  • Thanks, I'm driving from Edinburgh. If you do to & can get to Trinity by 7 I'll happily give you a lift. This shows the orange pen as being 3/5 to me, unless I'm reading it incorrectly? • Nice one! Congrats! I managed 1.03, which I'm pretty happy with. Really enjoyed it. Will do it again next year. My next one is Greenwich in August, hoping that I can do beat today's time (subject to the terrain, weather, my lardiness etc!) by TrinityTosser (Sun 19th Jun 2022 2:15pm)
  • 1.03. Really enjoyed it. Having a beer now! by TrinityTosser (Sun 19th Jun 2022 2:20pm)
  • During lockdown I had a go at making my own. Purchased a kit online - dried blood to rehydrate, casings etc. First batch was rubbish, but the second one was ace as I'd worked out how much seasoning I wanted and used suet instead of back fat. Reading this back has made me realised what a food focused prick I sound but fuck it, I enjoyed the making & eating enough that I'll probably make it again. by TrinityTosser (Mon 1st Aug 2022 9:24pm)
