  • Thanks, yeah, experiencing the same with agencies, they simply respond No. Is there a way to reach out to the landlord directly online, as we are still in Denmark? by VanguardPrime1 (Wed 6th Jul 2022 11:05am)
  • Great, this is definitely handy info. Thanks so much! by VanguardPrime1 (Wed 6th Jul 2022 11:11am)

  • Thanks, this is helpful, will definitely look at properties in Southside! by VanguardPrime1 (Wed 6th Jul 2022 12:32pm)
  • True. The EPS report sometimes does report the area and that is how I started looking at EPC reports for most rental properties to arrive at a somewhat crude association between floor area and rental. by VanguardPrime1 (Wed 6th Jul 2022 12:36pm)
  • Yeah, since we have 2, want to be upfront about it to avoid surprises. Higher deposit (aka pet deposit) is definitely doable. Thanks! by VanguardPrime1 (Wed 6th Jul 2022 12:47pm)
  • Thanks for this info! by VanguardPrime1 (Wed 6th Jul 2022 1:09pm)

  • Here my agreement has how many pets I have and if I get more then needs to be discussed, so its weird...But good to know how its in Scotland! by VanguardPrime1 (Wed 6th Jul 2022 2:13pm)
  • Awesome, thanks a ton for this! I really like the part "I just skipped the part where I said he's a dog". I will definitely use that. For the ones that I have reached out to so far, I have asked if they are available, but I see your point. Thank you again for this! by VanguardPrime1 (Wed 6th Jul 2022 5:26pm)
  • Thanks again! by VanguardPrime1 (Wed 6th Jul 2022 7:55pm)

  • Yeah, toddlers are way worse than a pet in this case by VanguardPrime1 (Fri 2nd Sep 2022 1:34pm)
  • Yeah, but pets don't draw on walls and ruin them...so trashing is subjective by VanguardPrime1 (Fri 2nd Sep 2022 1:33pm)
  • The market situation makes sense, but when it comes to Pets, I beg to differ... by VanguardPrime1 (Fri 2nd Sep 2022 1:37pm)
  • Haha, true, most of them are like that... its a house, what do you expect by VanguardPrime1 (Fri 2nd Sep 2022 1:36pm)
  • Thanks, will check it out! by VanguardPrime1 (Fri 2nd Sep 2022 1:36pm)
  • It is and something is in the works, but I guess, like any other place, there is difference between having a legislation and someone following it or honouring it by VanguardPrime1 (Fri 2nd Sep 2022 1:35pm)
  • Well, its subjective... by VanguardPrime1 (Fri 2nd Sep 2022 1:44pm)
  • Such assumptions do not make sense... by VanguardPrime1 (Fri 2nd Sep 2022 1:41pm)
  • Picking and choosing a tenant given the market condition makes sense. But simply assuming that just because you have a pet or pets, they will trash the place is ridiculous... by VanguardPrime1 (Fri 2nd Sep 2022 1:40pm)
  • Painting and a deep clean is a must before one moves in and tenant gets that done when they move, that's universal. Not sure how that is an issue for Landlords here in Glasgow...Just make sure your agreement has such clauses mentioned. It is customary and nothing out of the ordinary.. I have rented flats with pets in US/EU and Asia, and have never faced what I am seeing in Glasgow. I guess its true for Scotland. Pet Aversion...not really a pet friendly city... by VanguardPrime1 (Fri 2nd Sep 2022 1:49pm)
  • again, subjectivity and cleaning is a universal aspect of moving out anywhere by VanguardPrime1 (Fri 2nd Sep 2022 1:54pm)
  • and I am assuming you have both!!! lol by VanguardPrime1 (Fri 2nd Sep 2022 1:53pm)
  • Do you have any m8?? by VanguardPrime1 (Fri 2nd Sep 2022 1:53pm)
  • well we can debate about this and go on a rant and that is not the objective, it is to get a feel the attitude of folks in the city towards pets and it does not seem pretty!! Not really pet friendly by VanguardPrime1 (Fri 2nd Sep 2022 1:52pm)
  • Do you have any m8?? by VanguardPrime1 (Fri 2nd Sep 2022 1:51pm)
  • yeah, sorry m8, I ain't got the time to stoop to a level of a cow to sit and argue. didn't know that YOUR DADDY owned Reddit.. by VanguardPrime1 (Fri 2nd Sep 2022 1:57pm)
  • deranged and delusional ... degenerate too !! If you don't own one, avoid commenting, coz it will go south! by VanguardPrime1 (Fri 2nd Sep 2022 2:02pm)
  • Thanks for constructive comments, Looks like, this sub is mostly filled with deranged, degenerate, and delusional folks who claim to be from a Pet Friendly City, lol. Adios!!! by VanguardPrime1 (Fri 2nd Sep 2022 2:00pm)
  • Go piss yourself m8! by VanguardPrime1 (Fri 2nd Sep 2022 2:08pm)
  • Yeah, similar suggestion was given to avoid mentioning the pets, but we chose to mention it, didn't realise the crap we were getting into .... Thanks! by VanguardPrime1 (Fri 2nd Sep 2022 2:17pm)
  • Thanks, gives me a much needed feel of the situation and the reality. Yes, I agree, that you return the apartment in the shape that it was handed to you. but having rented for years in EU and US, it was and still is customary to have it painted and deep cleaned before you move in and then when you move out, you get the same thing done. That is how most agreements are and such clauses are the norm. I just moved here and the apartment I moved out of in EU, I got it painted and deep cleaned for the next tenant. That is all from your pocket, unless, you want to loose part of your deposit. I got the house painted and deep cleaned and that was done by the previous tenant. Doesn't really matter whether they had pets/toddlers/insects/ or a freakin zoo at the place. by VanguardPrime1 (Fri 2nd Sep 2022 2:22pm)
  • It is bad! by VanguardPrime1 (Fri 2nd Sep 2022 2:25pm)

  • Its reality check for me...very different and non sensical to say the least! by VanguardPrime1 (Fri 2nd Sep 2022 2:37pm)
  • Redecorating is not what I said in my comment. When it comes to a paint job, its not a new shade or anything. It simply is that same shade that the house originally had. Good to know about wall hanging as well... by VanguardPrime1 (Fri 2nd Sep 2022 2:36pm)
