  • I could understand this move if other options were available but everyone knows services on a Sunday are awful. Hard to see this as anything other than a cynical cash-grab... by YUPSUCK (Thu 20th Jun 2019 3:44pm)

  • I was at this event and from what I understand everything was going to plan but the heat sensor was not turned off and so the fire alarm went off. This obviously resulted in the building being evacuated. Clearly a mistake of the organizers. My friend also said that the performer of the fire act was extremely distraught and angry at the whole thing as everything had been pre-planned. This is being written into an article six months later is very strange. The use of words like "tasteless" and "crass" is quite troubling when taken into the context was a queer club night. VERY STRANGE ARTICLE HERE FOLKS by YUPSUCK (Tue 12th Nov 2019 9:22pm)
  • Got them down by the Green as well. Must be something up. by YUPSUCK (Tue 21st Jan 2020 7:31pm)

  • I am lucky enough to have cycle paths most of the way on my commute. When I don't I often take a slightly longer route to avoid busy central streets. Cycle infostructure is improving quite quickly compared to what it was a few years ago and with Glasgow wanting to become carbon neutral by 2030 I don't think it will be slowing down any soon. But then again its Glasgow city council so who knows. by YUPSUCK (Sun 17th Jul 2022 7:44pm)
  • Can confirm I am also 70. In fact, I think everybody is 70 years old on this sub. by YUPSUCK (Tue 16th Aug 2022 10:17pm)
  • The reusable ones are great and I have brought them to plenty of gigs but, honestly I end up using generic disposable ones way more just out of convenience. I think the selling point of the musician ones that "keep the frequency" is pretty overstated and honestly doesn't matter when you are at a gig. Plus the pill bottle style holders are a bit dodgy when going to a club. You can grab like 100 sets in a pack for like £5. Way better value I think, plus you can bring a spare set if you lose them/ want to give them to a friend. by YUPSUCK (Mon 22nd Aug 2022 9:30pm)
  • You see these guys all the time in London! I thought I saw one flying around last year in the necropolis but doubted myself because I thought the cold would be too much for them. Very interesting to see them thrive in this country. by YUPSUCK (Tue 7th Feb 2023 12:02am)
  • If was very over-hyped, I think the advertising made it seem bigger than it was. No reason for them not to do something similar more often with maybe a bit more effort made for aesthetics. Also some crowd control was needed. by YUPSUCK (Sat 25th Mar 2023 6:01pm)
  • Who knew if you do something interesting, people want to come look at it! I really hope the event doesn't put people off future events because it was definitely overhyped and not as good as I was expecting. by YUPSUCK (Sat 25th Mar 2023 6:05pm)
  • Strange non-story, BBC seems to be posting a lot more of these fluff news pieces recently. We saw outrage over that school that was put on flack by the students parents recently in America. Are they trying to bait more anger with this story? Advertising always has stuff like this happen, it's pretty normal to refuse a design. by YUPSUCK (Wed 17th May 2023 10:38pm)
  • First bus is obviously to blame if that is the case for not giving drivers an updated route. Not that anything will Happen from this. First bus will continue to run a shitty overpriced service to gouge Glasgow for profit. They just lost their rail network down in England for being shitty, they will run similar management here. Get them out and bring in a real publicly owned alternative. by YUPSUCK (Mon 22nd May 2023 1:50am)
  • The 20 minute community stuff is crazy. They are taking this idea that people should be close to amenities and that local communities should be walkable and extrapolating from this the idea that the government wants to lock them down to that community and keep them locked in a gulag, where they may not work or leave. The sad thing is that these people are so against improving local communities because of this. It's a conspiracy theory and it gives them brain worms, so pointing out that the big banks and the "world order", actually benefit from free open travel and a global economy that needs freedom of movement won't do much for them. As other commenters have said, it's really interesting to see these guys in the open, but you can't believe this kind of conspiracy without going completely off the deep end. by YUPSUCK (Sat 27th May 2023 2:25pm)
  • Yeah it's just the natural conclusion to this stuff. More cycle lanes, pedestrian only streets, green space ect means less room for cars. Less cars = less freedom from their perspective. Sad stuff really. by YUPSUCK (Sat 27th May 2023 4:10pm)
  • I swear if global warming keeps up, we are a few years away from us getting AC like the rest of the world. My top floor flat might as well be death valley for all i know, roasting. by YUPSUCK (Wed 31st May 2023 1:36am)
