  • On my street you just leave your rubbish out in bags - there are no bins to put it in. This happens every day. ^^^ by Zealousideal_Tea_959 (Wed 23rd Jun 2021 10:19am)
  • Get yourself down to queen's park band stand on a Sunday from about 3pm - late for live music/jam session. Lots of really talented musicians jamming away. It's not always on, but defo a good time on a sunny day by Zealousideal_Tea_959 (Wed 23rd Jun 2021 1:13pm)

  • I'm English and have no trouble at all. The only time you get hassle is off folk that just want to hassle you and use your accent as ammunition. If you were local they'd just be bamming you up about something else. by Zealousideal_Tea_959 (Fri 4th Feb 2022 3:13pm)
  • Common wheel. I'm maryhill. Just go there. Trust me. They build bikes from old bikes. You can get a bike made to your own specifications, for a good price. It may look a little rusty, but it will be very high quality. They're also a charity that support people with mental health problems, so it's for s good cause by Zealousideal_Tea_959 (Sat 5th Feb 2022 9:11am)
  • Number 16 on byres road are great if they're hiring. Amazing tips and good team when I was there. Not sure they're hiring though by Zealousideal_Tea_959 (Mon 7th Feb 2022 2:56pm)
  • This is fascinating. I would consider myself middle class, but my parents earned about 25-30k a year between the two of them when I grew up. It seems mind boggling to me that you need to be earning 50k plus to hit that bracket. But it's definitely more to do with other factors than salary alone. by Zealousideal_Tea_959 (Mon 23rd May 2022 7:16pm)

  • It'll be expensive,but "interrailing by Zealousideal_Tea_959 (Fri 3rd Jun 2022 7:58am)
  • It will be expensive, but interrailing is quite popular for travelling on Europe. You can buy a ticket that gives you the ability to stop at multiple cities in Europe on the train. I have some friends who have really enjoyed it, but it'll cost a bit! Flights are probably the cheapest for long distances and maybe buses for travelling on the ground. Regarding phones - Giffgaff is the network I use. For £10 you get 15gb of internet and unlimited uk calls and texts. Can cancel anytime. But there are lots of online only network providers now that are probably quite competitive in price. by Zealousideal_Tea_959 (Fri 3rd Jun 2022 8:02am)
  • There is a place called chai ovna in the West end which does speciality teas. It's a very relaxed atmosphere and open til 11pm. There isn't heaps of space inside, so it might be a case of booking ahead. Good luck finding somewhere! by Zealousideal_Tea_959 (Sat 25th Jun 2022 10:37am)
  • Partick has heaps of good charity/thrift shops. But if you've already been to the west and want to explore further, go to govanhill and check out the charity shops there! Lots of good street food to be found in that area as well. Grab a falafel and sit in queen's park (if the weather is any good) Also shawlands has a good number of nice cafes and is walking distance to govanhill (strange brew and sunny acre are both great and I have heard good things about Bramble as well). Enjoy your stay! by Zealousideal_Tea_959 (Tue 5th Jul 2022 7:08pm)

  • Spotify, YouTube music and probably others do student discounts. Think you need to prove you're a student once a year only. So you'd get the year by Zealousideal_Tea_959 (Thu 22nd Sep 2022 3:32pm)
