  • Shit like this: [https://www.glasgowtimes.co.uk/news/18486586.police-swarm-glasgow-estate-disturbance/](https://www.glasgowtimes.co.uk/news/18486586.police-swarm-glasgow-estate-disturbance/) General ned activity, they can sometimes get really loud or they start arguing/fighting just outside of my building, I've also had a guy once threaten to start a fight because I was "walking like a big man". You can sometimes run into shady looking characters that just stare you up and down. My girlfriend said it best "They're just looking at you like they're waiting for something to happen". Mind you the incident with the guy threatening me is the only time I've been directly "targeted" in 3 years, the rest of the time it's just been stuff that I'd rather not see happening where I live. Overall perhaps not as bad as it's made to be, at least in my experience, but it's time for an upgrade for me. by _vasilescu (Thu 18th Jun 2020 3:51pm)
  • Thanks, that's what I was thinking too. Better than Wyndford but still not ideal. The flat is in a tenement building. The offer is tempting but at the end of the day I'd rather spend a bit extra for a nicer area. by _vasilescu (Thu 18th Jun 2020 4:00pm)
  • Two bedroom flats? I should've specified. Yeah perhaps further out I imagine. We've been looking at Merchant City, the average for a 2 bedroom right now is 800, 750 if you're lucky. Had a few pop up at 700 but they got taken quickly. Dennistoun and Townhead are a tad more affordable. I work in the City Centre and I'd rather pay a bit more rent and and walk 15-20 minutes to work everyday than pay less rent and have to spend money on public transport by _vasilescu (Thu 18th Jun 2020 4:37pm)
  • No worries I should've mentioned from the start. by _vasilescu (Fri 19th Jun 2020 9:34am)
  • I haven't so far but I'll look into those areas too, thanks! by _vasilescu (Fri 19th Jun 2020 3:36pm)
