  • Thanks! Will look into them. Maybe try one to see if it's for us. by ada_911 (Wed 12th May 2021 7:37pm)
  • Oh wow. The waiting list does sound like they might be busy so that is good! Will check them out. Thanks for your input! by ada_911 (Wed 12th May 2021 11:43pm)
  • Thanks for the link! by ada_911 (Wed 12th May 2021 11:47pm)

  • Wow. Good to know! by ada_911 (Thu 13th May 2021 12:11pm)
  • OP said in the other comments 'A friend has been quickly recruited to join the team on this number, starts tomorrow, massive push for Glasgow vaccinations to help stop any future spikes. Obviously it take a few weeks to take effect so the current spike should hopefully be coming under control by then. If you give them a call in the morning they'll advise/book you in.' Would like some official confirmation too, but I guess this is all they know? by ada_911 (Sun 23rd May 2021 11:38pm)
  • If you are not registered with a GP or do not have Community Health Index (CHI) number you can still get the vaccine by phoning the helpline on 0800 030 8013. • Yes, it is right next to the primary school there! It did seem very quiet when we visited. Thank you for your input! by ada_911 (Fri 28th May 2021 4:26pm)
  • We're staying with a friend in Yoker (right on Dumbarton Road) right now, and he's never had any issues but the index is a bit scary looking! by ada_911 (Fri 28th May 2021 4:35pm)
  • Thanks! I appreciate the information. by ada_911 (Fri 28th May 2021 4:31pm)
  • Thank you so much for your answer! It helps me to understand the area from your experience. I really appreciate it. by ada_911 (Fri 28th May 2021 4:31pm)
  • Ha! Good advice! Thanks for your input. I'm new to Glasgow vegan scene (is that a thing?) so it can get pretty overwhelming if you just randomly Google 'Glasgow vegan'. What I'm trying to say is, thanks for the recommendation. And unfortunately it will/would be a bigger trip for us, ugh. by ada_911 (Thu 23rd Sep 2021 8:34pm)
  • Wet polyester? Is that a vegan thing? I know vegans are associated with many things (like telling everybody they're vegan I guess) but wet polyester? Well I learned something new today! by ada_911 (Thu 23rd Sep 2021 8:31pm)
  • Thanks for the input! I was looking around on the event website, Eventbrite and their Facebook but it's not looking like they were able to put together a proper list of stalls and info on them is pretty vague. Was hoping for something more professionally looking, but oh well. by ada_911 (Thu 23rd Sep 2021 8:30pm)
  • No, I agree. The last bit is on point, kind of. I used to think that too! And then became vegetarian, now onto vegan and honestly, food is such an important part of social gatherings that it's basically impossible not to tell people that! Anyway, but the polyester I'm confused about haha. by ada_911 (Thu 23rd Sep 2021 8:37pm)
  • Okay. Thank you for that. I was wondering if they food ends up being too expensive. by ada_911 (Thu 23rd Sep 2021 8:41pm)
  • Fair enough. I honestly did not get it. And I thought I'm pretty clever. What a fool! by ada_911 (Thu 23rd Sep 2021 9:49pm)
  • Ooooooooh! That surprisingly makes sense.. Hmm by ada_911 (Thu 23rd Sep 2021 9:47pm)
  • Thanks for the info! by ada_911 (Fri 24th Sep 2021 1:18pm)

  • ... But both my husband and I got the same text today. And we went together to a gym class three days ago (which is the only way we could get any close contact). by ada_911 (Fri 11th Feb 2022 9:19pm)
  • Glasvegan has reopened with a new owner I think. I'm not sure if he's vegan though! by ada_911 (Tue 21st Mar 2023 7:54am)
  • I had no idea! I mentioned Glasvegan as I was nearby last week and saw it open. It's such a shame these things happen so very often. I'm so glad to hear Suissi doing better in this sense. by ada_911 (Wed 22nd Mar 2023 11:09am)
  • That's what I thought and that's why i reported it via this form in which you can say the address is missing: https://www.royalmail.com/personal/receiving-mail/update-your-address But they gave me this in response: 'I'm sorry, it appears we haven’t received notification from your local authority about the address below. Local authorities are the statutory body responsible for officially naming and numbering properties and thoroughfares. Please contact their street naming and numbering department, and request they notify us of the address.' Is it the city council they want me to contact? I have no idea at this point. by ada_911 (Tue 23rd May 2023 10:41am)
  • Yes I have. This is mad isn't it? We did it a week ago. I'm so confused. by ada_911 (Tue 23rd May 2023 10:49am)
  • God, I tried searching for this on gcc website and came up empty. Thank you for the link! by ada_911 (Tue 23rd May 2023 10:45am)
  • Oh yes. We exist there. Now I'm even more confused! The council registered it in SOME places? Oh my.. by ada_911 (Tue 23rd May 2023 10:52am)
  • Did you het this information from the city council? I mean the quarterly update? I called the council but no response so far. I guess I'll just send an email and home I'll get a reply within the next 583908 working days. Thanks! by ada_911 (Tue 23rd May 2023 1:43pm)
  • Hi, thanks for this input. I updated my address with Bank of Scotland in person, gave the lady my council tax bill and it got sorted. My husband on the other hand, changed his with TSB online and after a few days it went back to 20 Potato Road, ditching Flat 5, so he has to call them now to fix it or something. I can see how this could be an issue when we apply for mortgage in the future. This is just mad, honestly. by ada_911 (Tue 23rd May 2023 1:41pm)
  • Hi, I got in touch the with council and they said they can't do anything about it, they let Royal Mail know ages ago and RM considers the address as multi-occupancy as the mail goes through one mailbox for all 5 flats. As adding mailboxes is highly unlikely for us, what can we do so that we pass credit checks in the future living in this flat? Do you have any advice? Thank you! by ada_911 (Thu 1st Jun 2023 1:13pm)
  • Thank you for such a comprehensive answer. I really appreciate it. We'll wait for a bit to let the three months pass and sign up for the credit score services, we can do it without checking the credit score right? I'll also make sure to see the proof next time I contact the council and/or RM about this. Just out of curiosity, if we move somewhere else in the future does the issue with not matching address in our address history follow us? Or is it just the current address that matters? by ada_911 (Thu 1st Jun 2023 6:37pm)
  • Moved with them recently too, would also recommend! by ada_911 (Sun 2nd Jul 2023 9:41pm)
  • Does one just have to live in the area? Or are there any other requirements, like nationality, immigration status, etc? by ada_911 (Thu 14th Sep 2023 11:14pm)
