  • Did she email directly to horizon, or complain to tesco first? I’ll try that thank you! by blxcklst (Sat 4th Sep 2021 9:37pm)
  • I was there for 2 hours 33 minutes! I never even seen the signs, but I'm guessing it would be 2 hours max stay by blxcklst (Sun 5th Sep 2021 9:33am)
  • Thank you, it says on these forums it's best to complain to Tesco first though, did you just go straight to the parking company? by blxcklst (Sun 5th Sep 2021 9:48am)
  • Oof that sounds like a nightmare, did you take it back to your insurance to complain? by blxcklst (Sun 17th Apr 2022 8:22pm)
  • I actually moved out of that address on the day that I got the first letter (not because of it just a coincidence haha), but I went back to pick up my letters maybe 4 months later and there was a couple more with essentially the same text, but nothing much came out of it! I'd say ignore it, you'll get maybe a letter once a month and then it should stop by blxcklst (Fri 10th Jun 2022 12:38pm)
  • Not sure what kind of maintenance you do for £100 a month *every month,* but I can assure you most landlords don't spend nearly as much on regular maintenance on the flats they're renting out. And a 1 bedroom that costs 150k to buy would most definitely be rented out for more than £710 a month by blxcklst (Wed 3rd Aug 2022 4:38pm)
  • From my 9 years experience of renting in Glasgow, not once a fridge or carpet has been replaced, or walls repainted. You seem to underestimate how much the average landlord cares to upgrade their property vs if they were living there themselves. Tbh £130k would have to either be a very nice 1 bedroom, or in a very popular area which either way would be more than 660 a month right now - my flat in the east end was bought for 100k and another flat in the same building but ground floor (i.e. usually cheaper rent) is being rented out for 700 a month, that’s a 50k cheaper property than what you were saying! My point is, there wouldn’t be many landlords buying properties and renting them out as their main source of income if the difference of renting vs owning and renting out was “not that much” by blxcklst (Thu 4th Aug 2022 8:52am)
  • I was there 2 weeks ago! Only none of the freezers (aka the best part of the shop) were on and you had to go and ask them if you wanted something specific by blxcklst (Sat 6th Aug 2022 10:11pm)
  • I got one in August 2021 (a bit more than a year ago) in the same car park and actually made a similar post on this subreddit too😂 I had moved out of that flat since, and as far as I know got at least 1 letter from them, but I never paid it and as far as I know haven’t been taken to court! I did try sending Tesco a long winded email and they refused to do anything about it, but then I just let it go by blxcklst (Tue 23rd Aug 2022 8:37am)
  • Unless you've been parking there regularly and it would actually be beneficial for them to take you to court, they likely won't so I would ignore it! I've moved out since I wrote this post over a year ago, but I never got taken to court or anything ...as far as I know by blxcklst (Mon 14th Nov 2022 9:19pm)
  • I’ve ignored mine since writing this post 1.5 years ago and forgotten about it since! Although I’ve also moved address, so not even sure how many letters they ended up sending by blxcklst (Sat 28th Jan 2023 8:00am)
  • Defeats the purpose of having 2 sets of wheels (easy/cheap to swap over) if I do that, + would have to store the wheels somewhere anyway by blxcklst (Tue 11th Apr 2023 9:48am)
  • I got them ar Farmer’s and they said they don’t store the wheels. Same as kwik fit who offer a tyre storage service, but not the wheels. If only I had a shed! by blxcklst (Tue 11th Apr 2023 9:46am)
  • Touché! by blxcklst (Tue 11th Apr 2023 9:56am)
  • Rear wheel drive and frequent drives up North by blxcklst (Tue 11th Apr 2023 12:38pm)
  • I’ll have a look at those cheers by blxcklst (Tue 11th Apr 2023 12:37pm)
  • I also used some template to send to a Tesco CEO, I actually got a reply that they think I should still pay! I didn’t, and nothing came out of it 2+ years later (although I’ve moved flats since, so don’t even know how many letters they ended up sending) by blxcklst (Thu 25th May 2023 8:12am)
