  • I remember there was a 99p drink night but they never gave you the 1p change. Being a student at the time it did irk me. I don't remember two for Tuesdays but might have been after my time. by clashingblues (Tue 25th Aug 2020 9:48pm)
  • Thanks for sharing. I've signed. For anyone who isn't sure who your local councillor is then check here https://www.glasgow.gov.uk/councillorsandcommittees/addressSearch.asp If there is anything else we can do then please let me know. by clashingblues (Sun 30th Aug 2020 10:42am)
  • Thank you. You are doing amazing things here. I have no awards so please just have my gratitude! by clashingblues (Sun 30th Aug 2020 10:45am)
  • Did you make them yourself? They look amazing by clashingblues (Tue 1st Sep 2020 1:26pm)
  • Rightmove is my recommendation. Firstly check out which area you want to live East End will be far cheaper than Westend but you might not like it. Check how much you can borrow and how much of a deposit you need so you know your budget. A lot of people are speculating that properties will be going for less in October as currently, due to pent up demand, prices are crazy high with lots of people bidding on the same places. But with furlough ending that will probably change. by clashingblues (Fri 4th Sep 2020 1:30pm)
  • You could go to the Transport museum. You do need to book tickets and they go fast but think there are still some available for Friday. Or you could book a table at Platform at Arches (food and drink stalls indoor). by clashingblues (Tue 8th Sep 2020 8:30pm)
  • Yeah under the bridge at Central Station. I haven't been since pre Covid but was really good when I went. by clashingblues (Wed 9th Sep 2020 11:29am)
  • Kelvingrove and the transport museum are reopened but you will need to book in advance. Canal is also a good shout. by clashingblues (Wed 9th Sep 2020 6:19pm)
  • If you are an international student (sorry if not as I wasn't sure from your post) then Natwest have an International Student account with specifications you haven't lived in the UK for 3 years https://personal.natwest.com/personal/current-accounts/international-student-account.html If that doesn't suit this article details other account (a lot aren't student) but you should meet the requirements for https://www.savethestudent.org/international-students/top-international-bank-accounts-uk.html by clashingblues (Sat 19th Sep 2020 10:06am)
  • I am fairly certain there are some people who panic bought toilet roll in March which they still haven't used yet. by clashingblues (Thu 24th Sep 2020 7:24pm)
  • Rettie are really good. I have had some terrible interactions with Mov8, purplebrinks and yopa so would avoid them like covid. by clashingblues (Fri 16th Oct 2020 1:10pm)
  • Yopa and purplebrinks both. Mov8 seller. by clashingblues (Fri 16th Oct 2020 2:12pm)
  • I second the home removals company. Did a great job with our move and very reasonably priced. by clashingblues (Thu 7th Jan 2021 9:51pm)
  • They have done this to me too. We also moved, updated them as soon as and paid the two installments they requested but on Thursday they sent us a demand for £500. I contacted them and they told me that 'Good news, it is only £300.' Unfortunately they could not actually explain what I owe £300 for. Still waiting! Absolutely useless. Hope you get it all sorted soon. by clashingblues (Mon 18th Jan 2021 9:57pm)
  • If you are not in a rush you can order missing parts for free on the website. I did this last month and it took a week to arrive. by clashingblues (Mon 5th Apr 2021 7:57pm)
