  • Spill the Beans is a good shout, it seems to attract a lot of focused laptop people. by claurr (Mon 5th Oct 2020 2:15pm)
  • Is it not terrifying at night? by claurr (Fri 18th Dec 2020 10:46pm)
  • Is your vaccine centre local to you? I heard my neighbour in G42 had to be booked in at East Kilbride which seems crazy to me. by claurr (Mon 17th May 2021 6:59pm)
  • This is such a comprehensive resource. Job done! by claurr (Mon 17th May 2021 7:28pm)

  • No they aren't. by claurr (Mon 13th Dec 2021 10:12pm)
  • I'm always fine even though I still feel quite paranoid about it. Older folks often stop me when I'm out and about just to remark how fun it looks and enquire where they could get one for their kid. Had nothing but nice experiences, but I never ride it in the centre of the city. by claurr (Thu 13th Jan 2022 8:48pm)
  • Out of interest how did you swing such a good deal? Were the photos not showing the full potential? by claurr (Wed 13th Apr 2022 9:56pm)
  • Had my first ever gym experience a month ago, I had a friend come along to show me how the entry system worked where the lockers were etc. I was quite thankful to have someone there and the next time I went I felt quite at ease to be by myself and pop the old headphones on. Gym buddy is always a good starter idea in my book. by claurr (Sun 22nd May 2022 11:51am)
  • Yes there are many fine gumtree guys that will take away your stuff for cheaper like people are pointing out. But I think OP just needed a justifiable vent, and I am here for you especially when there are still free uplifts in other less tightfisted council areas. by claurr (Tue 7th Jun 2022 8:27pm)
  • There's a poster on my street in Crosshill about a missing cockatiel called Snoopy. There's a post about it on pets reunited if you take a look there. by claurr (Thu 9th Jun 2022 1:01pm)
  • If you could bottle some sunshine for your friend im sure they would be chuffed with that. by claurr (Mon 13th Jun 2022 8:13am)
  • I would lie, a deposit is cheaper to lose than paying a grand over the odds for however many years. by claurr (Thu 30th Jun 2022 4:43pm)
  • That's great then, I think landlords all assume your pet will tear up the carpets and chew any furnishings. I found a place through openrent which was unfurnished and entirely laminate flooring so when I asked a few months into my lease if I could adopt a cat he seemed to concede there was little damage that could be done. by claurr (Thu 30th Jun 2022 4:50pm)
  • We try, they never like it. by claurr (Mon 11th Jul 2022 11:12pm)
  • I used the website Spareroom when I was at uni and found a few European students to share with. Might be a cheaper funner alternative to halls. Been a few years since then though mind. by claurr (Mon 8th Aug 2022 6:44pm)
  • Exactly same situation, what's the point of returning to an empty office. by claurr (Thu 18th Aug 2022 8:42am)
  • I think technically it would only be scab behaviour if you took your whole streets worth of rubbish to the dump and they all paid you for your time. by claurr (Fri 26th Aug 2022 2:44pm)
  • I would love the set if that's still possible, I've been winging it without a single cookbook up until now. by claurr (Fri 2nd Sep 2022 9:45am)
  • That's an idea! Will have a scout around locally, thanks. by claurr (Fri 9th Sep 2022 1:56pm)
  • Yep, grand piano in every bay window. by claurr (Thu 29th Sep 2022 5:55pm)
  • Can't help you but this sounds so fun, miss my mad old art school days. Good luck with the show! by claurr (Wed 12th Oct 2022 10:10pm)
  • This is great thankyou! I'll download the app then. Yeah don't mind paying over the odds at all as long show up and don't refuse me haha. by claurr (Wed 19th Oct 2022 1:56pm)
  • Do you mean you cleaned the mould off and it didn't grow back? Or it actually sucked it off the walls. by claurr (Tue 1st Nov 2022 3:06pm)
  • Oh my god, I thought I was going crazy being the only one who saw it. Was it a protest or some sort of performance art? I think she was singing something about hell. by claurr (Mon 7th Nov 2022 11:12pm)
  • There was a thread about this maybe 2 weeks ago which ended in the consensus on Meaco being a good brand in general. Not sure how to advise you on the size though. I bought one off the back of that, and couldn't be happier. It's the 8L version for my wee 2 bed flat and empty it once a day. by claurr (Tue 15th Nov 2022 9:39pm)
  • Why, is it bad for the environment? Thought wood burning was better than boiler gas. No clue really, just curious. by claurr (Thu 22nd Dec 2022 8:31pm)
  • That's quite lucky OP, I still have nightmares featuring those creepy little dolls by claurr (Thu 5th Jan 2023 10:35am)
  • Depending on your postcode I recommend getting in touch with cab or legal & money charities which have advice workers which can advocate on your behalf and know the right ways to get in touch so it is all thoroughly documented. Generally nice aswell and make your problems seem more manageable. by claurr (Wed 25th Jan 2023 5:07pm)
  • In Photoshop? Sure. by claurr (Mon 30th Jan 2023 5:04pm)
  • Love the fact that the nonstop scaffolding that is up in Glasgow has worked well here. Spend so much of my days Photoshopping out the permanent visual clutter from photography, but for these action or post apocalyptic wwz types it can be quite the bonus. by claurr (Mon 13th Feb 2023 5:18pm)
  • I was looking for something like this recently and the closest I could find was a BYOB pottery class in shawlands. Would just love a little club to hang out have a g&t and make something simple. by claurr (Thu 23rd Feb 2023 11:34am)
  • Not Another Happy Ending, starring Karen Gillan Can't testify to its quality but it certainly shows off some nice bits of Glasgow by claurr (Tue 4th Apr 2023 12:44pm)
  • Wow my doctor told me he couldn't remove mine as I would lose my ear and advised me to simply stop wearing hats.. by claurr (Thu 6th Apr 2023 1:09pm)
  • If you have done a course in art at a uni or college I would recommend you shoot a wee email to your previous tutor or head of department. They will definitely have dealt with these burecratic bodies and know the right points you have to hit. They will also have a vested interest in seeing you succeed as that will be a selling point for their course. If you have volunteered at any arts places in the past festivals events etc reach out to the main point of contact from those organisations. They live and breathe funding applications to survive. by claurr (Wed 26th Apr 2023 10:06am)
  • Glasgow rents scare me now, it doesn't seem that long ago where rents were £500 ish and anything over a grand sounded like London prices. by claurr (Thu 1st Jun 2023 8:44am)
  • Depending on your postcode area you could call these guys (9am tomorrow) and they can help you appeal your sanctioning. Or get you vouchers for local food banks. https://www.castlemilklawcentre.co.uk/ Cab (citizens advice bureau) should also be able to help by claurr (Thu 1st Jun 2023 7:02pm)
  • Because of noise and thin walls? I currently rent a lower one and having been putting off buying similar due to endless recurring mould issues. Probably a Glasgow wide housing stock issue though! by claurr (Fri 2nd Jun 2023 1:22pm)
  • Yes and that was a major issue last summer for many people buying in popular areas. You need the offers over money upfront along with your deposit. by claurr (Fri 2nd Jun 2023 1:58pm)
  • If it can spread the disease I agree that could be a big issue, however it is a bit unfortunate for the habitat/animals living there currently. Would be nice if they have a plan to replant some of the lost trees since it's such a great number. by claurr (Fri 16th Jun 2023 9:00pm)
  • My partner works in the industry and has recently had some time off due to strikes aswell. His response was to go on a crazy long walking/camping trip the Great Glen way from Fort William to Inverness. Honestly I think he should have spent the time resting though. For years working in his industry he has put in the long crazy hours, hats off to you guys for working so relentlessly. I feel like the good pay is really there to cover you for times like these to rest recover and just live and breathe for a bit. I hope you have the best time and really enjoy - you've earned it! by claurr (Sat 5th Aug 2023 5:31pm)
  • I had a bit of time when I was a teen when I was in-between things, I did like a portfolio builder evening class weekly. It was super easy to chat with them and make plans etc. I really think being thrown together with a bunch of people regularly can really help you find friends whilst not being too intense. So evening classes, voluntary weekend job or exercise club type thing are all great for seeing folk consistently. by claurr (Thu 24th Aug 2023 7:40pm)
  • Is the pub still open for drinks those nights? I'd love to just sip a beer and watch from the side. by claurr (Thu 31st Aug 2023 2:44pm)
  • The composition and storytelling in some of these images is wonderful. Thanks for sharing these OP by claurr (Fri 8th Sep 2023 12:49pm)
  • Yeah I'm confused too, are they in the garden or next to the garden? Is a fence an option or are you in a tenement type situation with factors etc? by claurr (Mon 18th Sep 2023 2:44pm)
  • Go on, this was Cibo wasn't it? by claurr (Tue 24th Oct 2023 9:02am)
  • Had such fun times evacuating that place from the 13th floor during fire alarms when the lifts get shut off. Would love to see some rich execs in fancy shoes trying to make that trek. All for it. by claurr (Tue 7th Nov 2023 8:22pm)
  • Thanks so much (: by claurr (Mon 20th Nov 2023 4:48pm)
