  • A lot, halls are expensive by constejar (Sat 26th Sep 2020 6:57pm)
  • I know mate, I’m struggling to remember the exact costs. I think those ones are around £500. I had a pal in private halls that were up at like £750 pcm. Compared to normal flats that’s obscene by constejar (Sat 26th Sep 2020 7:03pm)
  • 100% agree. Huge demand for them tho, and that’s what drives the price up. People want the uni experience and to make friends etc. Don’t want to feel left out by not staying in halls. I stayed at home in 1st year and it’s hard to get involved with stuff. With prices like that, it makes sense why the unis were desperate to get people into halls, and why I don’t blame the students for the outbreaks by constejar (Sat 26th Sep 2020 7:14pm)

  • Cheers looks cool! It’s funny it seems that Airdrie has lots of things that end up in people’s gardens. Here’s (allegedly) the infamous goalposts from Wembley [goalpost ](https://goo.gl/maps/ynqvVvvt7aW1mAxj9) Not too far from where you sent by constejar (Sat 20th Mar 2021 11:54pm)
  • Yeah I was like wow when I first saw it! I’ll need to have a walk up to the bit you sent too by constejar (Sun 21st Mar 2021 12:03am)
  • Mccallum’s would be best, but if it needs to be in town then your main options are Wallace bagpipes and RG Hardie. r/bagpipes does exist if you have other questions but it’s mega USA centric. by constejar (Tue 6th Apr 2021 8:48pm)

  • Depends how soon you’re going, you might struggle to get booked. Ashton lane has loads of outside stuff, but haven’t been this summer so can’t comment. There’s also loads of outside places in finnieston as well as Cranside down by the SECC. Depends how soon you’re wanting to go, you might struggle but I think you’ll be fine for lunches by constejar (Tue 1st Jun 2021 12:22am)
  • You’re on about cheapside and warroch streets? There’s been a sign up for fancy flats there for ages now by constejar (Thu 3rd Jun 2021 7:57pm)

  • You deserve your downvotes mate People buy houses because they need a home, it’s not an investment. It’s easy to sit on the side and treat it like one when you’re not in that position. by constejar (Mon 16th Aug 2021 10:07pm)
  • Always see people skating the riverside museum too by constejar (Tue 24th Aug 2021 3:18pm)
  • DELETED Im really sorry to disappoint you, but I have heard of clubs not being too keen on people going on their own, especially males. I mind reading once that the garage didn’t let a guy into a gig because he was on his own by constejar (Thu 26th Aug 2021 9:40pm)
  • DELETED Ah fuck sake, I’ll delete my comment if I am. I swear I mind seeing that a few years ago though Edit: It’s a while ago, but have a look at this and their reply https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowUserReviews-g186534-d606932-r428955458-The_Garage-Glasgow_Scotland.html by constejar (Thu 26th Aug 2021 9:50pm)
  • It’s been open again for a little while? I’ve been through it a few times recently by constejar (Thu 2nd Sep 2021 3:11pm)
  • That is weird. I just checked, the last time I crossed it was the 22nd of August so they may have closed it again by constejar (Thu 2nd Sep 2021 3:46pm)
  • No worries, just posting because I mind someone else posted about it being shut by constejar (Wed 29th Sep 2021 3:26pm)
  • That’s private land mate it’s not going to open any time soon by constejar (Wed 29th Sep 2021 4:54pm)

  • Build to rent flats, you can’t find much about them online at all by constejar (Wed 13th Oct 2021 3:37pm)
  • It’s more common than you think. The plates are in the format ‘AA99AAA’ so where there’s letters there can be O’s. If a car is registered in Oxford you’ll see it with an OV at the start for example by constejar (Tue 2nd Nov 2021 12:16pm)
  • Barclays bridge? The squiggly bridge? by constejar (Wed 3rd Nov 2021 9:49am)
  • Have seen lots of people moving to FanDuel recently so I’d assume they are quite high paid. Also want to add Barclays to the list, I’ve seen higher pay there than the equivalent grade at JPM and MS by constejar (Tue 9th Nov 2021 3:07pm)
  • Do you know if the main path on the north bank of the Clyde (runs broomielaw to the riverside museum) is open yet or is there still closures on that? by constejar (Thu 18th Nov 2021 11:03am)
  • Nah by constejar (Tue 7th Dec 2021 1:06pm)
  • Had a couple of positive lateral flows earlier so I’m stuck in the house for a while. I have the next 3 days off work for annual leave, but I think it would be shit for my mental health losing those days being stuck in the house. I was looking forward to getting outside as much as possible (I WFH). Do yous think it would be possible to cancel my annual leave and just sit with my laptop on for the next few days? There will be no one about so not much to do anyway or is that quite wide? by constejar (Tue 28th Dec 2021 4:40pm)
  • Thanks for the advice mate, I’ll email HR in the morning by constejar (Tue 28th Dec 2021 5:11pm)
  • Yeah tbh there is nothing happening and nothing to do at this time of year so it’s mostly the same thing haha by constejar (Tue 28th Dec 2021 5:35pm)
  • Thank you, essentially asymptomatic at this point so hoping it stays that way by constejar (Tue 28th Dec 2021 6:55pm)
  • I did one on the 28th and got it back on the 30th. With the huge demand you might be waiting more than 2 days though by constejar (Sat 1st Jan 2022 7:21pm)
  • It fills the nice gap in the middle between uni clubs and old people tbh by constejar (Mon 24th Jan 2022 6:48pm)
  • They tried to move it to Sanctuary after but there was never loads of people there by constejar (Sun 6th Feb 2022 8:27pm)
  • They couldn’t do their jobs properly and it was shut down before the pandemic, unsurprisingly by constejar (Tue 15th Mar 2022 1:30am)
  • Honestly mate I think the best thing you could do at first is just to get outside walking. I work full time, so often use my lunch break to go out a big walk. At my walking speed I can walk 5k an hour no problem. Doing an hour of walking a day or every few days will make a massive difference to hill fitness, especially if you put some hills onto your route (we have plenty in Glasgow). I do always find, however, that the best way to get better at mountaineering is just to get out into the hills. I don’t know how if you have a car or anything but Tinto hill is class for an intro that’s close to Glasgow. I get what you mean with all levels, but honestly there are plenty of beginner walks that are fine. People are sound, no one would judge, everyone is just after a good day out on the hills. I started off a few years with my uni club being heavy unfit. Forced myself out on walks and everyone was dead nice and supportive. Give it a go mate, if you’re up for it, I’m sure you’ll enjoy it by constejar (Wed 11th May 2022 2:11pm)
  • Have fun! by constejar (Wed 11th May 2022 4:09pm)
  • There was signs a couple years ago that it was gonna be crazy expensive flats, like £300k+ for a 2-bed. Not surprised they’ve patched that tbh by constejar (Tue 24th May 2022 5:04pm)
  • You can always ask about payment plans. I think mine were £2500, I paid £700 up front then I’m paying £150 a month for a year. That’s braces, bonding, and whitening which I thought was decent. by constejar (Wed 25th May 2022 10:25am)
  • Just wanted to add, try and have all the groups be a good mix of genders by constejar (Tue 14th Jun 2022 11:55am)
  • I’ve never been to Cathouse, but answering in case you don’t get any replies. They are owned by the same people as the garage and a lot of the bouncers will work at both. Garage has a policy of no one in on their own so I would imagine that cathouse would do too. I’m sorry this isn’t ideal for you, but I hope you have a good night out regardless! by constejar (Wed 6th Jul 2022 1:24am)
  • Part of it is if someone’s on their own and they get too drunk then there’s no one to look after them and get them home safe. Other side of it is people being in clubs on their own can be a bit predatory too. Just what I’ve been told off a bouncer when I asked about the rule by constejar (Wed 6th Jul 2022 2:12am)
  • Potentially mate, with a lot of the drugging and injection that went on last year I wouldn’t be surprised if clubs were stricter as a result by constejar (Wed 6th Jul 2022 12:07pm)
  • That’s just a Friday/Saturday and the Friday is generally free entry I think. The Saturday is way overpriced though. It does bring in something like £10 million for Glasgow’s economy (sorry if I’ve got that wrong or misremembered) so I don’t mind the trade off by constejar (Sat 9th Jul 2022 5:29pm)
  • Honestly any dry cleaners is fine. I took mine to the dry cleaners in the Morrison’s nearest me, for example by constejar (Fri 15th Jul 2022 10:23am)
  • Oran mor has a club in it now that’s open till 3, never been but seen it advertised. Looks decent from it’s insta by constejar (Tue 19th Jul 2022 5:45pm)
  • As others have said, the guys name is Richard Dickson. I’ve seen him in town a few times in his, now gold, McLaren. He is a legit property investor, and is very active on TikTok and insta. However, if something seems too good to be true then it probably is. 61% is an obscene return and I can’t really understand how the scheme it seems like he’s proposing would generate those returns by constejar (Wed 27th Jul 2022 1:28am)
  • You get a lot of the taxi drivers that go to that one quite late at night, funny seeing a bunch of taxis parked outside at 3/4am by constejar (Fri 5th Aug 2022 3:45pm)
  • Yeah it’s on Saturday, you’re going to hear it a lot more as the week goes on. It’s actually a bit weird you’re hearing it up your way as most tend to practice in Kelvingrove park by constejar (Mon 8th Aug 2022 9:18pm)
  • Yeah that’s possible! Here’s the [practice schedule](https://www.pipesdrums.com/article/pipesdrums-2022-guide-to-grade-1-band-worlds-week-practices-and-appearances/) for all of the bands in the top grade for the rest of the week if you’re interested by constejar (Tue 9th Aug 2022 12:07am)
  • I was still out at that time last night, there was fireworks being set off towards the south side by constejar (Thu 11th Aug 2022 11:31am)
  • Aye thinking I’m wrong now but defo saw those last night haha by constejar (Thu 11th Aug 2022 2:46pm)
  • You’re best looking for a gym near you that you’d want to go to, then look for the PTs on offer there. I go to one of The Gym Group gyms and they have a page with all of their PTs. I could then go through each of their profiles and picked the one that suited me best. by constejar (Thu 18th Aug 2022 10:54am)

  • That’s the one that became viper and is now kittys? I mind a taxi driver telling me about it after picking me up from viper before by constejar (Sat 1st Oct 2022 11:52am)
  • Nah the Airdrie ones are the same, used to prebook penny cabs for the back of 3 from city centre and it would always be £20/£25 by constejar (Fri 28th Oct 2022 4:51pm)
  • It is by constejar (Thu 3rd Nov 2022 8:37pm)
  • I thought Missoula was closed for a refurb? by constejar (Tue 10th Jan 2023 10:13am)
  • Quite often if there’s an accident on one side of the motorway, people on the other side will slow down to look at what’s happened and can often cause another accident. The slowing to look is having a rubber neck. I think they’re calling OP out for taking a picture of the accident basically by constejar (Thu 9th Feb 2023 10:58pm)
