  • Ben Nevis bar in Finnieston on a Wednesday, Thursday & Sunday from 9pm-midnight for some of the best live folk music you’ll get in the city. Also amazing whiskey bar. Food I’d recommend Rogano which is one of the cities oldest restaurants, amazing high quality food, comfort, service and clientele without a ridiculous price tag and the seafood and oysters are Glasgow’s best IMO. It’s in the city centre in a little corridor between royal exchange square and Buchanan street. A must visit for you both is Ashton lane in the west end (if you take the subway to hillhead then it’s at your immediate left as you walk out the station. All great bars, great food and great atmosphere all the time. Would highly recommend Ubiquitous Chip for food, it’s so relaxing in there. There’s an Italian restaurant in the city centre called Sarti’s and its on the corner just before Wagamamas and honestly I love the place. There coffee is ridiculously strong and amazing tasting. Their muscles are incredibly tasty and large. Very small restaurant though. The staff are lovely. Go to kelvingrove park for a walk. Go for a walk through park circus (at the top of kelvingrove park) if you want to see where the money is, nice cars and houses up there. The 78 in finnieston has nice cocktails and live jazz on a Sunday I believe. The Ivy is pretty lush if you want something fancy for drinks and food. Where the footballer dine. Use the subway because it’s cheap and it’s just a circle so it couldn’t be any easier to use. Go to the barras at the weekend in the east end next to Glasgow green if you want to experience authentic Glasgow market history although definitely keep your wits about you and don’t be surprised if you use a toilet and there’s some lads in the toilet shooting up heroin and being really loud and over friendly. They’re usually harmless and will welcome you to Glasgow but they’ll cross boundaries and seem intimidating. by cosmosaurr (Sat 8th Feb 2020 10:23pm)

  • I mean so far I feel unsuccessful dealing with my GP... but I’ll try again. Actually have received quite a good response from people on here so I’ve got plenty of things to get on with regarding my situation. I will go to my GP again though that is a good idea. Will try to open up to her more about my situation and hopefully she can help. Thanks pal. by cosmosaurr (Wed 11th Mar 2020 4:23pm)
  • It’s not a destructive cult. But I think it’s definitely a cult. Just like most religions and churches in my opinion? Like Baptist church for example you get baptised and then you’re part of a cult essentially! And you view people who haven’t “been saved” or have announced Jesus Christ as your saviour as people who will go to hell.. that’s cult behaviour. Albeit, it’s mostly aimed at the overall good and improvement of people’s lives through the teaching of moral stories. I reckon the word “cult” has bad connotations. I should have specified a “destructive cult” in my OP. Where membership of said group results in being the recipient of abuse, control, coercion and ultimately murder, water poisoning, many people being left traumatised etc. (Example I’m referring to here is Nxivm). by cosmosaurr (Wed 11th Mar 2020 7:30pm)
  • Yeah, there are lots of people who are aware of it actually and who stay clear of it already. There’s nothing else I can say at this point. I actually feel like I would be playing in to their hands by saying anything. The way they are set up, any kind of attention or publicity is what they want right now. The best thing I can do is focus on myself and a life away from the group. I’ve cleared my social media of all friends and all pictures for example. I’ve cut contact with people who are remotely attached to it. I would for sure warn others if they wanted my opinion or were looking for guidance. In terms of publicity though, they want that as much as they can and in any form they can. by cosmosaurr (Wed 11th Mar 2020 11:46pm)
  • Haha class. Sounds like good enough vibes man. There was a similar crowd at that festival in kelvingrove park with chic and all that playing. They were all in their 30’s and 40’s and everyone was high but I actually liked it man it was good vibes. by cosmosaurr (Thu 12th Mar 2020 12:49pm)
  • No fucking way. That’s so awesome!!! You should get together for a beer with him on Friday? And bring me cause I wanna meet Luke combs and the rest of the band! Hahaha. by cosmosaurr (Thu 12th Mar 2020 12:52pm)
  • Aw I know. Really hope it doesn’t get cancelled. My cousin was at James Arthur a few nights ago at the hydro and she said everyone was frantically washing their hands lolllll. I might wear a banana on Friday just to be safe hahahahaha. by cosmosaurr (Thu 12th Mar 2020 12:50pm)
  • Hahahaha nooo it really wasn’t that bad. In the middle of the crowd anyway. by cosmosaurr (Thu 12th Mar 2020 6:42pm)
  • Awwww that would be amazing. You should definitely do that. I’m sure the energy would be amazing there! Yes tickets were ridiculous, I bought one for £180 from a reseller. I think if you made the effort to see him in Florida that would be 10x better than Glasgow. Hmm honestly couldn’t help you there bud. by cosmosaurr (Thu 12th Mar 2020 11:04pm)
  • Well first of all you should probably started shaving your face most days... right? Second, confront him. Ask him to have a word privately and open up to him. I guarantee he has no idea what you’re going through and I guarantee he doesn’t think your trans. Be brave and talk to him. You’ll be okay. by cosmosaurr (Wed 7th Oct 2020 4:53pm)
  • Why the fuck are you calling me a muppet? And honestly I fully expected all the downvotes, but it makes absolutely no sense. This girl said she has two problems, so I gave two solutions. 1. She grows facial hair because of a health issue. Solution: shave. 2. The way she is being spoken to by a guy in work is upsetting her. Solution: open up to him, tell him she doesn’t like being called “mate”. I get downvoted and called a muppet, as if I’m the perpetrator here. Makes no sense. I never said trans women have ovaries.... you muppet! It’s in this girls head that someone at her work thinks she’s trans. Didn’t you read her post? I’m talking to ideologies here, not other people it seems. by cosmosaurr (Wed 7th Oct 2020 8:41pm)
  • What does is say about the Glasgow subreddit that I get downvoted heavily for my comment which is beyond positive? And you get rewarded with upvotes with a comment that you’ve retracted and apologised for because you misread the OP. Fucking mind blowing shit that. by cosmosaurr (Wed 7th Oct 2020 8:59pm)
  • Why is that a problem what I said? It’s a fucking common sense approach to solving the facial hair problem ie: shave it off. “Why are you still coming at me”. Because you deserve it. You called me a muppet. You’d have gotten a broken nose in real life for that. My sleep length and quality is pristine mate. Never been better. by cosmosaurr (Wed 7th Oct 2020 9:22pm)
  • I am emotionally mature. Well if they don’t fucking want to shave then they need to figure out a way to be okay with walking around with a beard. You’re being a white knight. I’m not the enemy here mate. You sound entirely possessed by the current ideology and you sound like 70% of Glasgow right now- not an individual. All you’re doing at this point is trying to wind me up and put me in some kind of perpetrator frame. I feel sorry for your kids like. Their dad is sleep deprived yet argues with helpful and positive people on reddit to try and gain some sort of feeling of superiority. Wether that’s calling random people muppets or turning it round and taking the “I’m sorry man, why are you still coming at me” card. You’re also a self proclaimed “cool dad”. Fuck me. They’ll quickly realise that you’re a dick, if you allow them an ounce of independent thought that is. by cosmosaurr (Wed 7th Oct 2020 9:33pm)
  • Okay let’s say you’re right in what you’re saying. Let’s say that what I said was insensitive. To what degree was it insensitive? It certainly wasn’t hateful or abusive. It wasn’t insulting or even rude. I’d say it was about 10% insensitive, because I didn’t sugar coat it. You’re not my maw. You’re a random stranger on the internet and I don’t care about you, especially when your calling me silly names for your own inability to read. I can see how angry you are, it’ll be okay, but I recommend you stop feeding the beast like you’re doing right now. You tried to take the high road by apologising. It wasn’t sincere. And no, nothing is on me. This is a two way thing. And you’re arguing with me, because you couldn’t read and because you called me a muppet. You’ve lost your mind. You’re being sarcastic- a fine display of emotional immaturity. It’s more than just the downvotes, it’s a problem in Glasgow right now. Young people like you, possessed by an ideology. Thinking you’re doing the right thing, but you’re not. Your possessed by ideas and you’re persecuting the wrong people. I gave her genuine honest advice. And you came at me. The best thing you could do is start thinking for yourself, consider that it’s possible that we’re both on the same side, ie. we want to maybe give some helpful advice to OP. This is what you should do if you’re so mature emotionally, and protective of women with PCOS and all the rest of it: give her some advice! What’s your opinion on her situation?? Take your awareness off me for a minute? And stop using a weak ideology to express your anger towards someone like me, who is very successful in life, very well liked and respected and helpful within any community I’m part of. And move on. by cosmosaurr (Wed 7th Oct 2020 10:15pm)
  • Ok. So. I’m not angry, but you need to believe that I am. Your apology wasn’t sincere, it was a display of “I’m a nice harmless person and I’m taking the high road”. You’re just reading my comments, and firing back at me with the same stuff. The structure of that second paragraph is identical to what I said to you. This is nothing more than a ping pong slagging match. In reality, I’m not gaining anything, you’re not gaining anything. Although your strengthening your ideology by arguing with me. I’m not going to campaign, create content and discuss anymore than I currently am at the moment, I’ve got other priorities in my life and at the moment I find it very hard to find another human being to have a discussion with that isn’t just spouting ideological nonsense that they’ve heard elsewhere. You telling me to campaign and create content is exactly what someone like you would say. I think you are angry, and your trying to gaslight someone like me who has shown potential for being gaslighted, because I showed genuine compassion towards OP. You shouldn’t have commented anything to begin with, you had NOTHING constructive or positive to say. Then when you realised you “misread”, you should have deleted your comment. Your “have a nice day” is bullshit aswell. by cosmosaurr (Wed 7th Oct 2020 11:06pm)
  • You know what else I think? You’re acting like a typical social justice warrior right. With “women with PCOS don’t need to shave if they don’t fucking want to” (expression of anger here too), also with your initial comment but then also that you tried to play the “I’m sorry man, I misread it man, why are you still coming at me man” card. You did that, then you told me to campaign, create content and discuss my beliefs. You know what that told me?? It told me that you KNOW your beliefs and the ideology that you and so many others are possessed by is a load of rubbish!!! It’s like you know it’s a lot of a crap, you know there’s no strength in it, you know it’s weak, but you’re gonna ride the wave of it anyway, and wait/hope someone else sorts it out and fights to get rid of it. I just can’t do it, I can’t think and act the way you lot do. You think you’re being heroic and moral but it just comes across as angry, weak, manipulative and twisted kinda cult like behaviour. The way you see those Scientologists acting and trying to wind up news reporters and stuff? Like that. Its so wrong. But you’re gonna carry on doing what you’re doing anyway. Because you think “I’m having fun, I feel important, I’ll get away with it, I’m part of something and have a strong group indenting now so it’s all good”. You’re sacrificing so much for believing in this ideology and you don’t even know it. Well actually I think YOU do and I don’t think you even feel that strong in it at all. But I think you feel like you have no other option. by cosmosaurr (Thu 8th Oct 2020 12:40pm)
  • Social justice, gender politics, the LGBT community, socialism, the SNP, independence. I’m such a respectful person yet I couldn’t get away from all this crap while I was at uni. Gays causing fights at parties CONSTANTLY. the male toilets in uni changing to gender neutral and tampons in each cubicle. Getting victimised and outcast for being a “Tory” when I’m not even right leaning. I don’t know how to describe it in one word. Post modernism and neo Marxism maybe. by cosmosaurr (Thu 8th Oct 2020 2:47pm)
  • Another display of taking the high road. You should have just PM’d. Instead of saying “I’m going to tell you to PM me because I’m gonna look out for the OP. Even though I’m 1/2 of this burden.” Clever, you’re trying to turn it round. But still clearly BS. by cosmosaurr (Thu 8th Oct 2020 5:19pm)

  • Best mussels I’ve had in Glasgow were from Sarti’s on Renfield street. They’re called Blueshell mussels on the menu, they were all huge, and really tasty! Much better than the Mussel Inn from what I remember! by cosmosaurr (Sat 19th Dec 2020 11:00am)
