  • No chance man! I work every second Sunday and in the winter its a nice change to take the car in since its free parking. Absolutely outrageous decision by daakkast (Wed 16th Jan 2019 10:00pm)
  • The one at Sauchiehall Street? by daakkast (Sun 14th Apr 2019 10:54am)
  • I had heard they were opening one there but I've yet to see it! Whereabouts exactly cause that's a much more convenient location. The quesdilla is the best imo. The rest I'm not a fan of. Would maybe get the cheapo burrito after a night out by daakkast (Sun 14th Apr 2019 10:58am)
  • I do actually! Sorry i should have put it in the main post. Route: robertson street, argyle street under the bridge at central, along buchanan street, into royal exchange square, up queen street and across george square, george street and lastly high street by daakkast (Tue 7th May 2019 7:21pm)
  • https://www.centreoftherapy.org/ I can personally reccomened the centre for therapy. They're just at charing Cross so you could even jump the train from denniston. A friend recommended it to me for my depression and it was really good. They have multiple pricing options, I believe you can pay a tenner a week for a fully qualified therapist but it may be their first job/training. I think after that it can be between 20-30 a week. They don't normally have much of a waiting list, you get an initial meeting jsut so they can assess your needs and they match you with a therapist that they think you'll get on with. You can specify the gender of your therapist too if that makes a difference. Let me know if you've any other questions or fire a DM I'd gladly help if I can. • Is there mac support? by daakkast (Sun 12th Apr 2020 11:48pm)
  • Second the pedlar and spice! Owner is an absolute hero and the food is just amazing. The fish pakora is banging by daakkast (Tue 5th May 2020 12:19am)
  • DELETED I keep seeing a full family visit an elderly that lives in my close. I know you can care for the vulnerable, and I don't know the circumstances, however, should they really be visiting as both parents with a newborn baby? Like if it's a vulnerability thing, shouldn't one person go and check up? Idk man I just keep seeing people around my area come and go. I know everyone's circumstances are different but can't help but think there's an unnatural proportion of folk not social distancing. I can't help but be frustrated. I know people close to me that think it's okay to visit friends and family as long as you stay out in the garden. Then it's fine. Is that fine? I mean, the guidelines clearly Say "do not visit friends or family" It doesn't say, you can do it but if you've got a garden?? It feels like I'm going mental by daakkast (Wed 6th May 2020 1:15pm)
  • I think I just needed sanity checking that I'm not being "that dick" thats taking everything too seriously. It's hard not to notice if im sitting on my wee veranda and there's folk flying all over the scheme. Cheers by daakkast (Wed 6th May 2020 2:11pm)
  • Has to be NY slice! You can really tell all the sauces and meats are fresh af. I'm not a fan of the rustic, thin crust/stone baked Italian pizzas. NY slice fills a gap between restauranty "authentic" pizzas and dominos etc. Love it by daakkast (Fri 15th May 2020 10:18pm)
  • Aye they had to close due to the fires on Sauchiehall Street a few years back. Then when they opened up, it was still mostly construction for the new roads. Most of Sauchiehall Street looked closed around that time to I feel for them. Now they're closed again due to covid - been a roller-coaster I'm sure so they could do with a wee turn when this is all over by daakkast (Sat 16th May 2020 12:52pm)
  • Ahhh was that further down? by daakkast (Sat 16th May 2020 1:50pm)
  • So much to unpack there. The entire channel is full of classics like "flat earth - celtic Park activism". At 20 mins the amount of folk there is mental. How are they not getting fined?? by daakkast (Sat 16th May 2020 1:59pm)
  • I'd counter op and say codeclan is brilliant. I entered the 16 week program and it completely changed my life! Now I'm in a career that I actually enjoy and take pride in! by daakkast (Sun 7th Jun 2020 1:02am)
  • I guess you could say my experience was good since I got a job by the end! It was a long journey though, I interviewed 6 different companies and got 2 offers. The offers were the last 2 that I interviewed for, the first 4 rejections hit me hard though. Codeclan have great careers support though. They really help you tailor a great CV and teach you how to use LinkedIn to your advantage, though there's no obligation to get into it. It's just an extra tool they teach you that can help your journey, but it's up to you how much you use it. They also are good at giving material to help you practice for interviews, mock questions etc. They have a speed networking event at the end of the course where most grads get their job from. It's a 6/7 one on one meeting with 5/6 companies that are all in their employer network. Really valuable time, almost like a pre vetting kind of mini interview. All the companies have your CV before hand and are usually hiring so they get to know candidates before bringing them in for an interview If you'd like to know more send me a PM and I'll answer anything I can! by daakkast (Sun 7th Jun 2020 10:32am)

  • Normally I'd recommend the centre for therapy at charing cross, but i don't think they're open due to covid. If you don't mind online sessions check out https://www.counselling-directory.org.uk/ Best of luck, hardest part is taking that first step by daakkast (Mon 14th Sep 2020 8:45am)

  • Been chancing my luck at trying to get an xbox series S. Anyone seen any in store? Heard some tescos have them in store only, since they dont seem to be offering them online. by daakkast (Mon 23rd Nov 2020 10:26am)
  • Aww man I've been wondering the same for ages! Imo, it's the best pizza in Glasgow. At least that i can get delivered. I've embarrassingly called them and left a voice message asking if they're ok 🤦‍♂️ I agree with the other poster, seems like maybe something to do with their last Facebook post but pure speculation. I know it's been a hard time for them. They had to shut down while Sauchiehall street was getting done up, then again with the fires, then covid hit..... Just hope its not all been too much by daakkast (Fri 8th Jan 2021 8:43am)
  • Aww that is it mate! Thanks very much. It looked abandoned jsut with the amount of rubbish there and being inside an old site filled with rubble. Great project from the looks of it. by daakkast (Sun 10th Jan 2021 5:13pm)
