  • Brilliant! Didnt know about that! by dolanlj (Thu 27th Aug 2020 9:00pm)
  • Just as a sort of project I suppose with possibly an ulterior project in possibly collecting them physically at some point. Also thought it would be interesting just to put together a list of obscure live performances in Glasgow that weren't too well known - which is becoming the case for most. McCulloch is grumpy but he's great. There were a few incidents in the early 2000s on stage in Glasgow, walking off, ending gigs early and assaulting fans! I saw him last year in Kelvingrove half expected some drama but it was all good! by dolanlj (Thu 27th Aug 2020 9:00pm)

  • I stay Auldhouse and its brilliant. Shawlands is a 5 min walk. Got all amenities on my doorstep. I literally don't touch my car at weekends because I don't need to. Its a great area, nothing shite about it. by dolanlj (Sat 29th Aug 2020 8:41am)
  • Thanks everyone some great suggestions! Will post the list to the reddit soon! by dolanlj (Sun 30th Aug 2020 11:17pm)
  • Glasgow Council is a complete and utter shambles at the best of times. I got through to our factor and they've promised a refund for services missed during lockdown . Cant say the same for the council. Have been sending in reports through the app almost weekly to no avail. by dolanlj (Mon 31st Aug 2020 11:43am)
  • You can go to the pub with people you live with but not people from another household by dolanlj (Wed 2nd Sep 2020 9:13am)
  • Too many people not following the guidance. My local pubs are full of groups of people not distancing. Pubs can't really control that, its on the individual and its selfish. Instagram full of images of friends in pubs not social distancing, hugging in pubs and restaurants etc. It sounds ridiculous I know but just stay away from each other for a while longer and the opportunity to be near people again will be sooner. I dont want to see pubs closing and having their windows boarded up but the ways things are going that's whats going to happen. And it'll be all the customers fault. by dolanlj (Wed 2nd Sep 2020 9:10am)
  • Hospitity outdoors. Not in pubs. by dolanlj (Wed 2nd Sep 2020 9:15am)
  • Correct you can still visit a pub indoors but can only meet people from other households outdoors. This is an extract from the statement yesterday: "From midnight (Tuesday 1 September), the restrictions are as follows: People in the Glasgow, East Renfrewshire and West Dunbartonshire local authority areas should not meet with people from other households in indoor household settings, whether in these areas or elsewhere. Members of different households can continue to meet outdoors, including in gardens, and in hospitality settings, provided all existing guidance is followed." Outside in Hospitality settings... by dolanlj (Wed 2nd Sep 2020 9:38am)
  • Not blameless no, but not logging details doesn't spread a virus. Hugging your pal you've not seen in 6 months does. by dolanlj (Wed 2nd Sep 2020 3:37pm)
  • I completely agree. I haven't experienced it but knowing Glasgow pubs I'm not surprised. by dolanlj (Wed 2nd Sep 2020 3:49pm)
  • Did you give details when you booked? by dolanlj (Wed 2nd Sep 2020 3:55pm)
  • It is a beautiful morning. Have a good Sunday all. by dolanlj (Sun 6th Sep 2020 9:58am)
  • I reckon very likely. The household rules are silly and people are meeting up in large groups if not in houses then in pubs with no social distancing. In a week the number of cases will have tripled and they'll be forced to close the pubs again. Many wont open their doors again. by dolanlj (Sun 6th Sep 2020 9:56am)
  • No one else is doing it by dolanlj (Sun 6th Sep 2020 10:28am)
  • Its not selectively enforced. Theres a responsibility on the individual to follow the rules Pubs can't exactly enforce a 3 household rules. They can put it on their website and facebook but to openly ask every group that enters is ridiculous. by dolanlj (Sun 6th Sep 2020 10:38am)
  • This doesn't require an explanation because its been in place for over 2 months now. Go and read. There isn't a responsibility on a restaurant or pub to tell you this. Its government issued advice to the public, not to restaurants. Restaurant advice is about distancing, mask wearing, sanitising and track and trace. If you're about to meet up with a group of over 3 households (and over 8 people) in an indoor setting then you're already breaking the rules. Don't wait for a restaurant to not enforce it, enforce it yourself. by dolanlj (Sun 6th Sep 2020 10:44am)
