  • My partner and I have been with Goodearl since 2013, moving from the middle of nowhere as a just 18 year old brand-new students, and in that whole time we haven’t had any rent increase and all we hear from them is that they’ll come and check our flat out every few months. Our flat has a lot of wear and tear since we’ve been there, and they haven’t mentioned it, only that we shouldn’t pin so much into the walls. Saying that, we haven’t left obviously, so I don’t know how they’ll be once we choose to leave. by dopigscome (Mon 29th Jun 2020 9:49pm)

  • I have been very busy actually, I’m only talking for a hour or two a day to get me away from my laptop and the stress caused by job hunting. by dopigscome (Mon 20th Jul 2020 8:40pm)
  • My partner just left a job on Union Street, he’s got some stories. What a shit hole. I’m sorry you’re going through this, it’s not nice at all. by dopigscome (Sat 25th Jul 2020 8:55pm)
  • The other weekend was my first night out for a drink since the beginning of March, and my partner and I got yelled at by a car. It’s always the old farts that sing Addams Family to me and have nasty digs. It’s fucking shit. by dopigscome (Thu 30th Jul 2020 8:43pm)
  • I’m confused reading these comments because that did happen to me too in there.... I don’t like to admit it, but long story short I was sat doing my business before realising the blinds were open and it was not a black out window, or something. Given, this was maybe 2012, but there was definitely bathrooms separate to the main room. by dopigscome (Fri 4th Sep 2020 12:25pm)
  • There were a lot more than these unfortunately, but there were less people there than the marches going on pre Covid by dopigscome (Sun 6th Sep 2020 2:33pm)
  • Heard a racket outside and there was lodes of people, way more than in this photo, and there was a big banner saying something something “COVID HOAX”. Quite a few police vans too. by dopigscome (Sun 6th Sep 2020 2:32pm)

  • I’ve heard weirder shit than that in this city mate. by dopigscome (Sun 13th Sep 2020 12:51pm)
  • Anybody else had tooth problems during quarantine? I’ve chipped some tooth exposing filling and since I’m unregistered nobody will see me. They recommend I patch it up myself but feel pretty shit about that. by dopigscome (Tue 22nd Sep 2020 2:08pm)

  • Please let me know if you get registered somewhere? I can’t get registered as everybody I asked can’t take in new people at the moment. by dopigscome (Thu 1st Oct 2020 4:30pm)
  • Bizarre how people run with it too. I thought we all knew we couldn’t trust The Sun? Or a friend of a friend who’s been told by their friend who’s a doctor. by dopigscome (Tue 6th Oct 2020 1:24pm)
  • Ignore the croc haters. by dopigscome (Sun 11th Oct 2020 1:13pm)
  • I feel you. Exact same boat here. The anxiety is reeeeal. by dopigscome (Mon 26th Oct 2020 7:11am)
  • Ok I’m the exact same. Lived here since 2013 and seriously feeling the shame now. Anxiety got the best of me mid March, then corona happened and I was too late, and it’s all my fault. Then I cracked my tooth which had a filling in it so I’m relying on temporary filling gunk now. You’re not alone. I honestly can’t remember the last time I’ve been. I’m getting prepared for a bollocking. by dopigscome (Mon 26th Oct 2020 5:07pm)
  • Thank you. I’m so ready to bite the bullet and get seen!! by dopigscome (Mon 26th Oct 2020 6:02pm)
  • Does anybody know if there’s any night works going on through the night around merchant city/east end? There’s a really frustrating low humming noise I can hear from around 10pm to 6am. Sounds like a neighbour far away vacuuming or machinery running. I’m tired. by dopigscome (Tue 27th Oct 2020 7:39am)
  • Jealous. My teeth are playing up and I’m not registered, nor in pain enough for the emergency dentist. I hope they start accepting new people soon. 😢 by dopigscome (Thu 29th Oct 2020 10:00am)
  • Can’t afford private at the moment, hopefully soon if needs be. Thanks though, I’ll keep that in mind. Hope you’re feeling better now you’ve been though! by dopigscome (Thu 29th Oct 2020 10:41am)
  • Thank you! by dopigscome (Thu 29th Oct 2020 6:44pm)
  • I feel like I’m going crazy. I need a decent sleep soon. Last few weeks I’ve been hearing a low mechanical humming at night, but last night (or now, it’s 5:30) it’s louder and driving me fucking mad. Anybody experiencing the same thing in merchant city near high street/bell street? by dopigscome (Sat 14th Nov 2020 5:38am)
  • I got registered and have had 2 appointments at the Glasgow Dental Centre in the last 2 weeks! I’d really recommend them. by dopigscome (Mon 16th Nov 2020 11:48am)
  • I was in a line in Morrison’s just then with a staff member without a mask, 2 men without masks and a woman with a mask under her nose. It’s so disheartening. by dopigscome (Tue 17th Nov 2020 2:51pm)

  • Yes! That’s them. Thank you! by dopigscome (Mon 23rd Nov 2020 12:48pm)
  • Feeling blue today. My 96 year old great grandma got taken into hospital last week after a fall and a day wait for an ambulance, and last night found out that the old woman in bed next to her had COVID, and now she does. Unbelievable. This is in Yorkshire mind you, I don’t want to freak anybody out, but I’m gobsmacked. by dopigscome (Thu 26th Nov 2020 9:02am)
  • Can somebody give me some advice? My partner’s boss is very adamant about keeping him in. It’s a family scenario and non essential, and the boss is unwell with a serious illness. He travels to work on the train and we’re anxious he’ll still be made to go through this lockdown from tomorrow. If he is guilt tripped and demanded he goes in, what can we do about this? by dopigscome (Mon 4th Jan 2021 3:00pm)
  • Thank you, much appreciated:) by dopigscome (Mon 4th Jan 2021 3:54pm)
  • Why would this get downvoted? Some folk on this sub are bizarre. by dopigscome (Sun 21st Feb 2021 2:03pm)
  • I almost want to cry reading that. It sounds perfect. by dopigscome (Sat 13th Mar 2021 12:40pm)
  • I somewhat agree, because a black woman’s body was recently found too, and that’s not included in this whole conversation. But personally, this has particularly got me worked up because of the link to the police and the comments people have made about her walking home, and in essence, asking “what did she expect?” by dopigscome (Sun 14th Mar 2021 9:38am)
  • Living experience, for one. by dopigscome (Sun 14th Mar 2021 10:33pm)

  • It sounds like you’ll be better off in the long run. It sounded like a horrible situation to be in. by dopigscome (Fri 19th Mar 2021 11:10am)
  • Yeah, I feel very stuck. I also feel very lost not having a garden. When it is beautiful weather the busy parks just make me anxious when I’m alone. by dopigscome (Sat 20th Mar 2021 8:11pm)
  • I completely relate, especially days like today. All I want is some space to feel comfortable and to just drink a brew outside rather than looking out on the sun. by dopigscome (Sun 21st Mar 2021 4:18pm)
  • That sounds great. I love the necropolis but that’s getting busier and busier so I’ll definitely try that. Thank you! by dopigscome (Mon 22nd Mar 2021 7:44pm)

  • Up high street there’s a hippy kind of shop which will have crystals for sure by dopigscome (Sat 11th Dec 2021 10:42am)
  • Each day I’m getting closer to walking out of work. I can’t listen to them, it feels like they WANT a new full on lockdown, the excitement they feel when they pick on people who tell them about their Christmas plans is shocking. I feel sick. by dopigscome (Mon 13th Dec 2021 9:53am)
  • Infuriating :( by dopigscome (Sat 18th Dec 2021 10:55pm)
  • DELETED My partner and I woke up with tickly throats/coughs yesterday and now mines developed into quite a sore one when I do (not continuous) cough, but it could be our horrible dry air in the flat. Lateral flows are negative but my booster is at 10am today. Is it sensible to postpone? by dopigscome (Mon 3rd Jan 2022 6:50am)
  • First day back in work and my partners been made redundant. Happy new year! by dopigscome (Wed 5th Jan 2022 9:59am)
  • DELETED Yesterday was quite the day. Partner got made redundant in the morning and we tested positive for covid last night. Now his boss just told him he owes them a weeks worth of holiday hours. Can’t wrap my head around it all. by dopigscome (Thu 6th Jan 2022 8:22am)
  • I deleted my original comment with the fear they’d see it, haha! But thank you for your response. Unfortunately it’s a very small business (him and a family) and he’s only been there a year and a half… if they screw us towards the end it may be an ACAS situation! by dopigscome (Thu 6th Jan 2022 10:27am)
  • I can’t believe my college brought him and his partner in to talk to us about their success by dopigscome (Fri 7th Jan 2022 6:44pm)
  • Yep! Was that college about 5 years ago. They were incredibly arrogant. by dopigscome (Sat 8th Jan 2022 2:56pm)
  • I went to the dentist for the first time in about 10 years last year, I was fucking mortified and embarrassed but honestly was a great experience in the end. The staff were so lovely and understanding and I only ended up needing a cleaning. I can’t recommend Glasgow Dental Centre enough. by dopigscome (Fri 14th Jan 2022 11:35am)

  • Derren Brown was brilliant last night. I ended up on stage for a bit, was shaking like a shitting dog by dopigscome (Wed 9th Mar 2022 9:04am)
  • Feeling utterly jaded today. My partner and I got made redundant at the start of the year and we’re just so exhausted from not hearing back from tasks and being ghosted. I had a good interview on Monday but I’m scared to get excited about it. I know things will be okay in the future, but for the time being, every day waking up and trying to be positive for us both is so tiring. Just trying to keep myself busy making stuff for Etsy but feeling deflated. We’ve got a gig tonight that’ll hopefully lift the spirits. by dopigscome (Wed 16th Mar 2022 10:12am)
  • Sorry mate. My partner and I are in the same situation, it’s awful being in limbo. Sending you good luck wishes. by dopigscome (Thu 17th Mar 2022 5:01pm)

  • Was the Glasgow city council, it was delayed at first because I hadn’t allowed Test and Protect to share my information, if I were you I’d phone them and just double check yours isn’t private and you’ll probably hear back in a few weeks by dopigscome (Tue 29th Mar 2022 9:55am)
  • Not 100% sure but I think you have to earn under a certain amount of money and in my case, for the one I applied for, you had to say how getting covid impacted your finances by dopigscome (Tue 29th Mar 2022 2:54pm)
