  • Stopped working in Bridgeton end of last year but when i would get off at argyle street the barriers were never shut and maybe once in a blue moon any of the staff hanging about would ask to see a ticket by dormamulad2 (Fri 9th Jun 2023 11:49am)
  • Is it a proper post office or one of the ones that they turned into a counter in a shop cos if it's the latter you basically get fuck all training you do some e learnings and get like an hour or two with a post office training rep but they only show you how to do whatever happens to come to the till in that 2 hour time frame, like if no one comes to do a moneygram or dvla forms you won't get trained how to do it and just get left to figure it out whenever someone does come in looking for one. by dormamulad2 (Mon 27th Nov 2023 7:21pm)
  • Yeah some people I worked with were full time and would avoid the post office counter like the plague if they could cos I think they didn't have a clue what they were doing, It's kinda terrible on both sides cos you used to have people that that was their full time job and were quite knowledgeable and knew how to do basically all of it and then you get rid of them and force basically minimum wage shop staff to take it on with no bump in pay along with all the other things they already had to do and on the customers side you get longer opening hours but luck of the draw if you get someone that knows what they're doing which if you're doing something important/expensive is not ideal by dormamulad2 (Mon 27th Nov 2023 9:31pm)
