  • I know what you are saying but, do you realise the history in this view! The Glasgow shipyards, where some of the world's most amazing ships were built. The river Clyde is brimming with stories. Right across the river was a little hill where all the heads of Scotland's clans met to collaborate and discuss peace keeping measures. The Riverside museum was designed by one of the most famous architects of all time. I think it's amazing. by downwithraisins (Tue 10th Aug 2021 11:13pm)
  • I totally agree about the wall of cars! I used to love going to see them at the old transport museum, you could get a good look at all the details of the interiors and imagine driving in them. They need to sort that out. I've heard so many people complain about it. by downwithraisins (Wed 11th Aug 2021 2:26pm)
  • Amazing! I love zooming in and trying to identify all the details. by downwithraisins (Fri 17th Dec 2021 2:22am)

  • I think you're lucky it was cancelled! Much better things to do in Glasgow than a Sam Smith concert. Go get churros from loop and scoop. by downwithraisins (Thu 25th May 2023 7:56pm)
  • £1200 for a 2 bed in Dowanhill. It's worth it. by downwithraisins (Sat 10th Jun 2023 2:27am)

  • Agreed! Or they use staff tips to cover any losses from the till. Terrible! by downwithraisins (Sat 16th Sep 2023 10:33am)
  • I've been to the one in Partick which was the same. Food was disappointing but the staff were so lovely. by downwithraisins (Sat 16th Sep 2023 10:31am)
  • Roberta's in the city centre. Please don't go! It's so unbelievably awful. Terrible food & terrible service. I went because it looked so pretty. The service was incredibly slow. I had to order 4 drinks before I found something that was in stock (no sparkling water, no still water, no soda water! They forgot to put our food order in, then they brought food but no cutlery, we had to get that ourselves by chasing someone down. Then a waiter walked past the table and stuck his finger in my not yet finished glass of wine and swiped it away, I had to run to catch him because that glass cost me £10! The main course was a roast chicken dish with potatoes which were totally burnt and solid, stuck to the metal oven tray they were cooked on. I had to practically wrestle someone to finally bring the bill so we could just leave! Wouldn't you guess it, all the drinks they didn't actually have were still on the bill. I really did feel like I was being pranked. by downwithraisins (Sat 16th Sep 2023 10:57am)
  • Mine too. I always think about who planted it. Trees are much better than headstones. by downwithraisins (Fri 29th Sep 2023 5:43am)
  • Well, what did you end up doing OP? Did you have a nice time? by downwithraisins (Sat 30th Sep 2023 7:02am)
  • Me too! I live here but I didn't know about a lot of these places. by downwithraisins (Sat 30th Sep 2023 4:52pm)
  • What is the anti gang unit? What's so terrible about them knocking on your door? by downwithraisins (Thu 2nd Nov 2023 2:25am)
  • Happened to me today on Byres road too. Terrible by downwithraisins (Wed 8th Nov 2023 4:15am)
  • They actually aren't always fannies. It's a cultural problem here. I grew up in South Africa, kids just don't act like this there, I have never once seen or heard of it. They may rob you, but that is a poverty thing. by downwithraisins (Wed 29th Nov 2023 5:28am)
  • Of course it isn't. The point I was making was that the antisocial behaviour by groups of youths in this country is not experienced everywhere else. It's not just because they are youths. There's still bad behaviour elsewhere, obviously robbing someone is worse, but it's not intimidation for entertainment. by downwithraisins (Sat 2nd Dec 2023 5:15am)
  • I agree. Isn't that obvious. My point is that you can't blame their behaviour on youth. by downwithraisins (Sat 2nd Dec 2023 5:27am)
  • Oh is it open again? I thought they had closed it down. by downwithraisins (Mon 4th Dec 2023 2:53am)
  • Yes! I used to love looking inside all the cars in the old museum. Being able to see in the window and look at the seats and steering wheel was the most important part. They might as well be photos of cars up on that wall. by downwithraisins (Mon 4th Dec 2023 2:50am)
