  • bc often when people have to make a difficult decision they like to gather as much info as possible. ik there are definitely dogs living in multi-storey flats in Glasgow but not sure about this particular one by dreamluvver (Wed 8th Jun 2022 1:43pm)
  • yes i found this too! it’s also Maryhill Housing Association (i would be with Wheatley) and reading between lines it looks like the tenant was maybe not a great dog owner by dreamluvver (Wed 8th Jun 2022 1:47pm)
  • badly but the dog is not the only thing holding me back. also it may sound premature to you but it makes sense to me to consider how i might feel in a few years. by dreamluvver (Wed 8th Jun 2022 5:22pm)
  • normally i don’t care but who the heck is downvoting me for this? first part is rational and the second part is just true by dreamluvver (Wed 8th Jun 2022 5:27pm)
  • thanks for wishing me luck. i imagine i would be in the flats forever and i have my reasons for wanting a dog that i have not gone in to here because it is not relevant to my query. by dreamluvver (Wed 8th Jun 2022 5:35pm)
  • thanks! good advice. other pets are fine, you are supposed to ask permission but i think that is just a formality. that said, even without dog issue, my daughter’s school is a bit far away and would be either 2 buses or trains and take over 50 mins to get to. not been that close to offered anything else either though by dreamluvver (Wed 8th Jun 2022 6:36pm)

  • used to be one in merchant city but i am sure that’s gone. only other place i can think of is under bridge at central (with all the snapback caps in window) bought decent grinder out if there but no much of a bong man so can’t speak of quality in that area. curious for other replies by dreamluvver (Sat 23rd Jul 2022 11:10am)

  • i don’t think it’s just Glasgow but as it’s the biggest city seems the worst. there seems to be an attitude of “it’s someone else’s JOB to pick up my trash” it’s depressing but it only takes a few people to treat the place like sh*t and it makes the rest of us look bad. most people are decent. also plastics… i imagine before plastics were *everywhere* people still littered but it was more biodegradable. ironic that we are surrounded be celebrated natural beauty, and you don’t even have to travel too far out of Glasgow to see it, that we seem determined to make the place look so nasty. by dreamluvver (Wed 8th Feb 2023 7:39am)
  • aye i just meant like say 1/20 people drop litter, it quickly makes the place look sh*te but 19/20 folk are still good people. it arguably makes it worse that a spoiled minority can ruin it for the eat of us by dreamluvver (Wed 8th Feb 2023 8:13am)

  • they going too fast though. it’s not a dedicated cycle path. the bell should used if we are blocking the path, not just so they can tank it fast AF and expect us to get out their way by dreamluvver (Sat 26th Aug 2023 5:36pm)
  • how does it? i get out their way. weird conclusion to draw by dreamluvver (Sat 26th Aug 2023 5:45pm)
  • they going unsafe speeds and their is too many. not all cyclists but a lot of them. should be going at leisure speed, not road speed. by dreamluvver (Sat 26th Aug 2023 5:51pm)
  • mate i’ve not been knocked over, plenty alert. i understand why they are ringing the bell but it ruins a good walk there so many of them and they going hella fast. by dreamluvver (Sat 26th Aug 2023 6:18pm)
  • i am complaining about the number of them and the speed. i was looking for validation and found none. fair enough but foolishly didn’t expect so many salty bams replying either. forgot where i was. plus you basically complaining on reddit about me complaining so put that in your pipe and smoke it. by dreamluvver (Sat 26th Aug 2023 6:27pm)

  • you said nothing of substance so i don’t see who is in agreement with you. it’s not a right or wrong issue. it’s my opinion and i seem to be in the minority but 8 people on reddit isn’t a huge number to really get an accurate pole. keep following the herd. by dreamluvver (Sat 26th Aug 2023 6:37pm)
  • i’m usually walking with someone side by side. i don’t mind getting out the way but some are going so fast and aggressively ringing the bell when they right your arse. not all! some are going at decent speed and it find to get out the way by dreamluvver (Sat 26th Aug 2023 6:35pm)
  • oh no i take it all back by dreamluvver (Sat 26th Aug 2023 6:41pm)
  • and i am fulfilling my part by getting out their way. i am not damning society, it’s just something i personally find mildly frustrating by dreamluvver (Sat 26th Aug 2023 6:45pm)
  • bc it annoys me how fast they go, should be pedestrian friendly speeds. don’t care how fast they go when no-one else on the path. again, you are greeting about me greeting about it so what does that make you? by dreamluvver (Sat 26th Aug 2023 6:57pm)
  • it’s more like the speed they going at is not pedestrian friendly and they ding the bell aggressively not slowing down as they pass at all. not all cyclists but a lot. by dreamluvver (Sat 26th Aug 2023 6:55pm)
  • such as this one? by dreamluvver (Sat 26th Aug 2023 7:27pm)

  • that’s daft analogy bc humans aren’t designed to withstand high-speed impact, like cars. that path isn’t that wide and they should be slowing down to non dangerous speeds when overtaking, as you out it by dreamluvver (Sat 26th Aug 2023 9:07pm)

  • this is pretty good but i suppose i meant what manufacturing or production jobs? what do to we make? administrative and support service activities includes all the min wage contact centres (believe me i have done my time) hardly where anyone dreams to work or a drawn to the city. though I would assume the biggest chance of a career in this area are in financial and insurance services. interesting list though thanks and helpful! by dreamluvver (Mon 28th Aug 2023 5:32pm)

  • what does *it sounds like you have most of the problem here* actually mean? i literally described my problem so that’s a compete waste of pixels and a no doy to you. secondly, ring aggressively means dinging when they right up your arse, not slowing down. admittedly i could have communicated that more clearly. finally, the post is days old and many people have already said what you have. bit late to the party and another waste of pixels. do you get some sense of worth joining an online pile on? by dreamluvver (Thu 31st Aug 2023 9:35am)
