  • you burn more calories walking for 25 mins than you do boxing for 5 minutes, I also used to go to gym all the time but I'm much happier now exercising at home & outside, During lockdown I bought a bicycle, kettblebells, yoga mat, skipping rope etc all for less than the cost of an annual membership, i'l probably never step foot in a gym again, Also the goverment have no clue what they're talking about, who's to say its all of a sudden safe to go back into a gym? Duck the gym's my friend download strava on your phone and do some bodyweight exercises you'd be surprised how much better they are by getYourFingerOut (Thu 20th Aug 2020 2:37pm)

  • i like lifting heavy stuff too my friend but life is different now :'( kettlebells are so underrated, the overall strength and mobility benefits are vastly greater than bench, deadlift, ohp etc but I do miss the raw feeling of those exercises I agree by getYourFingerOut (Sat 22nd Aug 2020 9:27am)
  • I don't feel that way at all -- why does their need to be a discussion of capitalist regimes around health and fitness when getting fit is the cheapest thing you can do with your life? by getYourFingerOut (Sat 22nd Aug 2020 9:51am)

  • Glasgow has an appalling level of alcoholism & drug addiction - best tip I can give is to find friends who have genuine hobbies / interests rather than people who: A) only talk/care about football B) drink every weekend c) take drugs d) give advice to strangers online by getYourFingerOut (Sat 12th Sep 2020 3:42pm)
  • why don't you try phoning glasgow city council instead? we can give advice on which bars/restaurants to visit, what to name your new dog or which streets to avoid within the city but there's only so much we can help you with by getYourFingerOut (Sat 19th Sep 2020 4:15pm)

  • therapy and heroin are different things btw by getYourFingerOut (Sun 18th Oct 2020 9:00pm)
  • if people are in pain they should choose help, which is free, not heroin. "legalise all drugs, educate and regulate" here kids this is how you take heroin, its completely legal and it must be pretty good cos people get hooked on it right away but don't do it cos its naughty. shut up man by getYourFingerOut (Sun 18th Oct 2020 9:54pm)
  • there's a difference between "I think I should smoke less weed" and "perhaps I'll stab this old lady in order to feed my heroin addiction" idiot by getYourFingerOut (Sun 18th Oct 2020 10:21pm)
  • NHS does too much for junkies as it is, they constantly spit and bite nurses etc but the NHS continue to provide for them. its not just the cost of a little fucking tent for them to take drugs, its much more than your coddled little brains can grasp. i hope one day you're all lucky enough to live in your ultra-liberal bubble and some diseased toothless junkie stabs/robs/spits on YOUR gran woohoo defund the policy and legalise all drugs woodstock baby right on!! by getYourFingerOut (Sun 18th Oct 2020 10:49pm)
  • I should hope not. Someone previously mentioned how their gran was robbed by a pack of rabid junkies at Christmas time, these liberal hippies seem to think that's okay and it's not the junkies fault because junkies are completely innocent, products of their own environment.. its actually the governments fault because they made it illegal to take heroin and rob people =] by getYourFingerOut (Sun 18th Oct 2020 11:03pm)
  • sorry am I missing something, do you expect tax payers to pay for heroin and other drugs? I'm gonna give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you don't, because you're not an absolute fucking idiot. now lets say you could walk into boots and buy some heroin while you're restocking on canesten duo, have you ever met a junky? they won't think to themselves "aw perhaps I should divide this weeks gyro equally between food, utilities, heroin etc" do you know how addictive heroin is? they are going to spend every penny on heroin, then when they don't have any more, what do you think they will do? say "oh well I guess that's me done taking heroin for the week, maybe I'll finish that oil painting I've been working on" absolute mangos =] by getYourFingerOut (Sun 18th Oct 2020 11:41pm)
  • oh i see so what you're saying is that if heroin addicts had access to methadone prescriptions there would be less crime? Hey Everyone look! we found a solution! no wait actually methodone presciptions already exist and junkies are still destroying the city. you absolute. fucking. mango by getYourFingerOut (Sun 18th Oct 2020 11:53pm)
  • so what you're saying is, a junkie decides to take heroin without knowing the dangers? but because you know the dangers, you manage to stay clear of it. well done you! are you fat or something hahaha wtf is this guy talking about by getYourFingerOut (Mon 19th Oct 2020 9:10am)
  • couldn't you just measure the height and width then buy a frame with the same dimensions? by getYourFingerOut (Wed 21st Oct 2020 10:58am)

  • try [indeed.com](https://indeed.com), not [reddit.com](https://reddit.com) by getYourFingerOut (Sun 1st Nov 2020 3:29pm)
  • if you have the time, read a book called What I Wish I Knew when I was 20, by Tina Seelig. Also look up the story of One Red Paperclip Appreciate that the world has changed and skills you may have had in the old world may not apply to the new world that we are in now. Be a river not a lake, all that shit. People will react negatively and say you can't just make your own job out of nowhere, those same people will be those who really never tried. Take advice from people who write books not comments. All i said was try [indeed.com](https://indeed.com) and look at the hate I received. This is why the new world will struggle to repair the damage caused by our predecessors. TLDR: Google Stoicism by getYourFingerOut (Sun 1st Nov 2020 4:10pm)
  • born in 95 son, spend less time looking at Neil Patrick Harris' halloween costumes and more time with your nose in the books and you might contribute something to society other than regurgitation of phrases you don't fully understand by getYourFingerOut (Sun 1st Nov 2020 5:04pm)
  • nobody mentioned votes, you added that cringy superficial shit yourself. I saw someone suggest that the OP go for work amazon and thought jesus christ here's another mango from r/Glasgow giving people life advice, I better say something before the OP actually ends up working in a factory with a QR code tattoo'd on their forehead. But thanks for your input, as always it's great to talk to you fine folks by getYourFingerOut (Sun 1st Nov 2020 5:19pm)
  • you won't ever recover son that's the point im making, its never going to get better for people like you by getYourFingerOut (Sun 1st Nov 2020 5:36pm)
  • wow very insightful, bravo! thanks for proving my point for me, OP this is the type of person I'm talking about, very narrow minded & angry at the world. I'm not saying the OP should start a business? I'm suggesting a book that OP can read to think creatively about what skills they have & how they can apply it to a shifting world. Also while I'm here, I may as well add that you don't need money to start a business, as this basic doomer suggests, cos if you had money why tf would you start a business, right? Bezos sold books in his garage then 25yrs later became a billionaire, not the other way around. Gates didn't become one of the richest men in the world then think hmm perhaps I should get into software development. Again thanks for proving my point and again such a lovely welcome from the sweet, juicy mango's here at r/glasgow by getYourFingerOut (Sun 1st Nov 2020 6:05pm)
  • wasn't suggesting he become a billionaire lol ? wtf is wrong with you cant you read a paragraph and remember what was said at the end? good luck with your overdraft =P by getYourFingerOut (Sun 1st Nov 2020 6:58pm)
