  • There's 3 climbing walls in Glasgow, 2 of which are owned by the same company. The Climbing Academy has 2 climbing walls, one in Maryhill (The propstore) and southside (the newsroom). Glasgow climbing center, located in southside, has a smaller bouldering wall than the others but is more focused to rope climbing, although the prop store also has a small rope area and a few auto belays. Not sure what expensive is to you, but both gyms are I believe around the same price, I think they are both roughly a tenner just for single visit entry, shoes might be around £2, they both have memberships which would make it a lot more worthwhile if you're going anymore than once a week. by iamarealdinosaur (Tue 1st Sep 2020 4:41pm)
  • No worries! Just looking at the TCA (the climbing academy) website, it seems that it's just an occupancy tracker, and they just ask you go when it's not too busy, doesn't look like there is a time limit. Also my prices are probably a little off as there's a student discount. If you do decide to go to TCA a pass will allow you to go to both centres as well, they both have their unique differences as well, I haven't been to either since lockdown but any questions about the centres happy to help out :) by iamarealdinosaur (Wed 2nd Sep 2020 10:51am)
  • Does anybody know where I can buy patches? Not looking for anything in specific, just looking to browse and possibly get a couple for a friend. by iamarealdinosaur (Mon 3rd May 2021 8:19am)
