  • 😂😂 I'm not going to be able to unsee that now! Cheers!! by jamiethebb (Sun 17th Feb 2019 12:34am)
  • Can relate to that with an Ayrshire accent. My accent is kinda hybrided now but fall back into easily, especially when alcohol is involved by jamiethebb (Wed 20th Mar 2019 10:20am)
  • Thanks guys. They decided to just walk around the city and use the train instead. by jamiethebb (Thu 27th Jun 2019 9:45pm)
  • I think there should be more recycling bins on the streets. Plenty of other counties have managed this. Seen them in Ayr the other weekend and Aberdeen. The recycling provided to flats in the city is good. Just folk are really bad at using it. The number of times I've went to put recycling out to the blue bin and there's general waste in there.... by jamiethebb (Tue 2nd Jul 2019 6:30pm)
  • Need to try and find a way for folk to actually use the bins correctly. Drawing a blank on that though.... by jamiethebb (Wed 3rd Jul 2019 1:14pm)
  • I can't speak for KFC but McDonald's close their toilets after a certain time so you end up with a massive queue to use the disabled one downstairs. Not really ideal. by jamiethebb (Mon 12th Aug 2019 12:17pm)
  • That's fine for during the day when these places are open but they're not at night... by jamiethebb (Mon 12th Aug 2019 12:16pm)
  • Ever stood in a taxi queue for an hour? Or waiting on an Uber? An hour after leaving a club to get food, where you drank litres of fluid? 😂 Sometimes it can be... by jamiethebb (Mon 12th Aug 2019 5:44pm)
  • Or if you're standing there when it pops up. 🤣. I'm currently in Prague and they have them everywhere at night. Find it funny seeing council vans going round with urinals on the back of them 😂 Think it would be a good idea in Glasgow. Though don't know how girls would then pee... by jamiethebb (Mon 12th Aug 2019 7:13pm)
  • Corner of Buchan street. They're ones that tell how to pee... by jamiethebb (Mon 12th Aug 2019 8:40pm)
  • There definitely had been a lot of student developments the last few years, though tbf, Glasgow does have a high student population. I do know the city council are now trying to discourage more student housing though for more housing. Both on the higher end and affordable. by jamiethebb (Mon 7th Jun 2021 8:52am)
  • I'm not looking in any particular area, just setting the net wide across the whole city. There's areas I'd like to avoid obviously but only limiting myself to how close I would be to a train line, ideally 20 mins or so max to city centre for work by jamiethebb (Mon 7th Jun 2021 11:25am)
  • I pretty much discounted most areas in the north of the city due to the rep they get sometimes. You had many issues? Speed on applying will be key once I decide if I'm actually making the move. Got to act fast or it'll be gone before you blink by jamiethebb (Mon 7th Jun 2021 2:42pm)
  • Yea, Govanhill is an area I'd like to avoid. I've stayed just off Pollokshaws Rd before and that wasn't great. Fine during the day but there was always issues at night. I'm open to most areas though, so long as it's not a complete dive. Whiteinch seems cheap but that's an area I'm not sure about at all. Don't know enough about the area to make a call. by jamiethebb (Mon 7th Jun 2021 2:40pm)
  • The one place I keep seeing flats come up is Earl St. Don't know if Whiteinch just gets a bad rep and that helps keep prices down. Would certainly be handy for town and things in the West end too. by jamiethebb (Mon 7th Jun 2021 7:13pm)
  • Yea I have train tickets and accommodation confirmation. Don't have a printer to print them but can show them on my phone if needs be. by jamiethebb (Sat 2nd Oct 2021 10:43am)
  • This will be my 5th get out if I get it. Last few times it's been because of work commitments though. Ironically I have a wedding tomorrow I can no longer attend so I'm available (and sober) for Monday morning. Though thinking of just not drinking at it and going along anyway. Pretty sure all will be grand phoning Monday morning as you say though. Just have to proceed as if I haven't got that exemption. by jamiethebb (Sat 2nd Oct 2021 11:28am)
  • Didn't mean to put my full name. I was on autopilot. Can edit it as far as I can see. Folk wouldn't have my citation number or reference number to confirm its me. by jamiethebb (Sat 2nd Oct 2021 1:19pm)
  • It is. Jury is.at a cinema. by jamiethebb (Sat 2nd Oct 2021 1:21pm)
  • I don't see why that should be perceived as being sad. Just enjoy what you enjoy and middle finger to others that try and down play it. In saying that, I'm in a similar position as I want to go to a few Warriors rugby games but mates aren't interested. So feels as if it would be weird on my own even though it isn't. Weirdly, I holiday myself quite a bit. And these activities that would think be group activities become absolutely fine to do on your own. So there's no reason why it can't be at home. by jamiethebb (Sun 30th Oct 2022 10:55am)
  • I have seen police and city enforcement officers stop them from time to time. Once saw the police yeet one off their bike on George Sq. Quite satisfying. But the police can't be everywhere and they don't do enough where they are. My thinking is that if you're using a bike for commercial use, then you should have to register it and have insurance. It you use a car to business purposes it has to be registered and insurances as such. The delivery companies are middle men and drivers self employed but in order to use the service, they have to provide registration details. by jamiethebb (Tue 24th Oct 2023 12:22am)
