  • Sorry, I honestly couldn't tell you - I'd maybe assume she was waiting for the pandemic situation to improve to start her next venture. Either way it wouldn't do any harm to shoot her a DM and see what she's saying to it. Failing that black dot are a great wee studio in the southside: https://instagram.com/blackdottattoo And Rock n Roll have a few shops across the UK with a pretty consistent level of work: https://instagram.com/rocknrolltattooglasgow by jimwesto (Tue 15th Jun 2021 12:29pm)
  • That's fair enough to say man, I mind a couple years back I had booked in with them for a chest piece up in Dundee, took the day off work and all that but the artist was hungover so had to reschedule last minute on the day. They were good with reimbursing me and the tattoo ended up being ridiculously cheap when I did get it done but still a pain in the ass. by jimwesto (Wed 16th Jun 2021 4:44pm)
  • To be fair I've been with them before without issue and never had any problems with the Glasgow branch. Wouldn't let it put you off, some great artists putting out some solid work! by jimwesto (Wed 16th Jun 2021 6:03pm)

  • I got rid of Facebook a while back so will ask my maw to have a nosey - imagine it'd seem a bit shady enquiring about a pup from a new profile with zero friends by jimwesto (Thu 1st Sep 2022 9:07pm)
  • Been having a nosey there but a lot of the dogs aren't suited to kids/other pets so I figured it'd be easier to socialise/train a pup from scratch to make sure it'd be comfortable in that scenario. Not dead set on a staffy but have a vet mate who recommends them as generally healthy wee dogs with a good temperament - was previously considering a chihuahua type and he recommended no. Would ideally rather rescue & pups on Kennel club are extortionate, when I'm not really fussed on anything purebred. by jimwesto (Thu 1st Sep 2022 9:05pm)
  • I think I'll shoot them a message, they might have some kind of waiting list for such things. Been checking the site daily but not sure they list all the dogs on there. by jimwesto (Thu 1st Sep 2022 9:15pm)
  • Will check gumtree out for sure then! Avoided it so far with horror stories of puppy farms and that but have a vet mate I can take with me to check that everything is as it should be, cheers by jimwesto (Thu 1st Sep 2022 9:49pm)
  • Totally agree - the same was said about rottweilers and alsatians back in the day. Staffies were originally bred as fighting dogs but are referred to as nanny dogs because of their good temperament especially around kids. More often than not down to neglect from the owner and poor training/socialising which is something we're going to take very seriously. by jimwesto (Thu 1st Sep 2022 11:04pm)
  • Nice one, cheers for the recommend! Right enough there seems to be loads of rescue centres beyond SSPCA & dogs trust, I've got my work cut out. A bit of follow up advice wouldn't go a miss either as I've only ever had westies. Good luck with the new pup 👌 by jimwesto (Thu 1st Sep 2022 11:44pm)
  • Cheers again, will let you guys know the outcome, really appreciate the recommends! by jimwesto (Thu 1st Sep 2022 11:40pm)
  • Found a big list of rescue homes on the Kennel club website too FYI 👌 by jimwesto (Fri 2nd Sep 2022 10:03am)
