  • Haha, cheers! I'm pretty sure it's number 2. If I'm wrong, I guess I'm just lucky this didn't come up in my theory test :P by lrajne (Fri 29th Apr 2022 7:20pm)
  • Ah, that makes sense! I did get a call a few moments after this post... They just asked me about my availability and said if I get picked, I'll get another call between 14:30 - 18:00. Otherwise, I gotta call that automated line again :p by lrajne (Tue 21st Jun 2022 1:31pm)
  • Meh… once every 5 years I am fine with I guess :p by lrajne (Tue 21st Jun 2022 4:08pm)
  • FINALLY! Case starts later this week and lasts about 2 weeks 🀯 Kinda looking forward to chilling in a cinema for a wee while ☺️ by lrajne (Tue 21st Jun 2022 9:36pm)
  • So have I and I enjoyed it πŸ˜‚ Everyone’s different! by lrajne (Tue 21st Jun 2022 10:53pm)
  • Luckily I work from home so the days that I was told to ‘prepare to attend’ I just continued working but I can see how it would be a different story if you work on location somewhere. Usually you get your attendance stamped but now sure how they treat the days where you’re not there but technically need to be ready to attend :( by lrajne (Wed 22nd Jun 2022 9:58am)
  • That sucks :( hopefully my case isn’t too scary! by lrajne (Wed 22nd Jun 2022 12:18pm)
  • We don’t have electric heating πŸ™ˆ by lrajne (Mon 11th Jul 2022 5:39pm)
  • This is bloody fantastic - thank you! by lrajne (Mon 11th Jul 2022 5:42pm)
  • We are E :( I was wondering if C is even achievable 😭 I swear I remember seeing some rated C when I was on the flat hunt last year by lrajne (Mon 11th Jul 2022 5:40pm)
  • Sorry, I did say I wouldn’t rush to replace them, rather, I would prioritise other improvements that would have a bigger impact (if there are any) - particularly if the cost is lower. However, they will get replaced as mentioned. by lrajne (Tue 12th Jul 2022 10:19am)
  • Yup, gas central heating! The EPC rating is E, which isn’t the issue. The issue is the EPC report says the ‘potential’ rating is still within the E bracket if we actioned the list of 4 recommendations. I would have thought it would at least bump us up to D or something :( So I’m trying to gauge what other actions we can take to try bump it up a little. Checking the EPC reports of our neighbours was super useful though. At least I know what’s achievable now :) by lrajne (Tue 12th Jul 2022 10:23am)
  • The cold doesn’t bother me too much (it’s certainly nice to stay cool in the summer 😁). Just thinking about keeping the place up to standard, especially for when we decide to sell. by lrajne (Tue 12th Jul 2022 10:27am)
  • Yeah I wonder if the report is just a bit inaccurate and the windows will actually bump us up to a better bracket after all. It seems like one of the biggest and best improvements we could do. I think we need to keep sash and case though - we’ll just make sure it’s double or triple glazed (only half of our windows are double glazed at the moment). by lrajne (Tue 12th Jul 2022 10:30am)
  • When I moved to Edinburgh for a while (not England but close enough) my boyfriend’s mum gifted me this https://www.stevenbrownart.co.uk/collections/glass-chopping-boards/products/geordie-mccoo-the-wee-yin-glass-chopping-board by lrajne (Fri 22nd Jul 2022 11:28am)
  • I think the British Heart Foundation collect donations for free - at least for furniture anyway. They might also do this for large appliances so it’s worth checking :) by lrajne (Fri 22nd Jul 2022 12:33pm)
  • Damn - no new clients :( by lrajne (Fri 22nd Jul 2022 2:19pm)
  • Just what I was looking for :) Thanks! by lrajne (Fri 22nd Jul 2022 2:16pm)
  • That’s the wedding venue 😜 but great suggestion πŸ˜‚ by lrajne (Sat 24th Sep 2022 4:51pm)
  • I'll upvote you to balance it out πŸ˜‚ by lrajne (Sat 24th Sep 2022 6:00pm)

  • The irony is we don’t drive and don’t own a car, yet its a hassle to have a friend park for 5 days 😭 by lrajne (Sun 16th Oct 2022 10:38pm)
  • Woodlands! I guess it’s because of how close to the city centre it is. by lrajne (Sun 16th Oct 2022 10:35pm)
  • Yeah we're only a few streets away but I'm sure the visitor voucher can only be used in the district it's issued for :/ I'll take a look when they arrive though. by lrajne (Sun 16th Oct 2022 11:38pm)
  • Nando’s is my go-to! The ability to customise your meal is really beneficial for calorie counting folks. I usually just stick to chicken breast and broccoli but there are so many other options and combinations to try. As it is a large chain restaurant, the calorie information is readily available. by lrajne (Mon 13th Mar 2023 2:19pm)
  • Ah I should have said I’ve been given a very strict criteria for the sports bra: back fastening, high impact, non-padded, non-wired. I won’t be able to lift my arms above my shoulders for a few weeks. by lrajne (Mon 6th Nov 2023 10:14am)
  • Thanks all. Sports Direct was the winner! They stock Shock Absorber sports bras which is one of the brands my surgeon recommended. Glad I was able to try on in store because their website advises going up a band size but I didn’t need to. by lrajne (Mon 6th Nov 2023 10:36pm)
