  • It depends on what you prefer really. I wanted to build a community spirit in my tenement, so I sent round cards and token gifts on Christmas and have set up a whatsapp group where we all talk to each other. We have a firepit out back where we meet sometimes and have a few drinks and a bbq in summer. It's not always happy times, we do get annoyed with each other, but I think it's working! Build the community you want to be part of 😊 by nomnom_oishii (Sat 26th Mar 2022 8:33am)
  • Look for proper middle eastern restaurants for the authentic experience. Eda on high street has banging food and their cheese kunafeh isnt bad. There also places suxh as beirut star and the like, though i havent tried their food. I grew up in saudi so i kmow decent kunafeh when i see/taste it. by nomnom_oishii (Tue 7th Jun 2022 6:29pm)
  • Also, search for kunafa on google maps, places like pasha and al sultan look decent! by nomnom_oishii (Tue 7th Jun 2022 6:31pm)
  • Ichiban is not authentic, its owned by Chinese. by nomnom_oishii (Wed 22nd Jun 2022 8:10am)
  • Op asked for a Japanese restaurant, its not authentic Japanese so IMO entirely relevant. by nomnom_oishii (Wed 22nd Jun 2022 8:24am)
  • Probably not, but having lived in Japan and having a Japanese sister in law it irks me when people think ichiban is Japanese. Its the farthest thing from Japanese food and i stand by my opinion, but respect yours. by nomnom_oishii (Wed 22nd Jun 2022 10:44am)

  • My husband and I are currently going through IVF with TFP GCRM. Make sure you use them via access fertility, you will get 50% of your payment back if the treatment doesn't result in a live birth. We've had 2 embryos transferred without sucess and will be using the final and third embryo this month. We've only had one retrieval cycle, we chose the 3 cycle treatment. I am honestly not sure why people are trumpeting about GCRM, we have found them not to be great at all. Poor communication, no explanation what/why you're signing in the million forms you need to complete every cycle, no reassurance of the protocols being used or if they are the best ones (treatment plan isn't 2 way discussion, it's more of 'tell, very unlike the other IVF journies you will read on other ivf subreddits'), no transparent view of what they offer (i had to ask for genetic screening, they hadnt advertised that they offered it). After the first embryo transfer i got my period, when i went into the clinic for bloods the 'nurse' asked me how i was feeling and if i thoight i was pregnant, i was completely shocked as id called in the day i got my period letting them know. I had to choke back tears, it was a terrible experience. They women who take your blood are completely out of practice, when i went in for my ovulation bloods they 'tried' to withdraw blood from both arms before going into my hands, now imagine having that to look forward to every other day...four times...thats 16 holes!!!! Nothing like a bit of stress and anxiety before an embryo tansfer. I would change clinics but i don't have the mental or emotional energy to go through all that again. I'm not sure if there's been a staff rotation since the other positive reviews on here, but so far our experience has been subpar. The only saving grace of tfp are the lovely embryologists who actually do the transfers, they are kind, attentive and you genuinely feel listened to and cared for. Happy to answer any questions you might have, just dm me. by nomnom_oishii (Fri 7th Apr 2023 8:05pm)
