  • REMOVED heya, i think you should look on [spareroom](https://www.spareroom.co.uk/) because whenever i checked it had quite a few flats looking for a flatmate or if there isn't one then maybe you can try with student accommodations but im not sure how they work in terms of letting people move in at this time of the year by owoikawa (Sat 16th Nov 2019 5:41pm)
  • REMOVED hiya, would be interested if you still have it! by owoikawa (Mon 18th Nov 2019 7:09pm)
  • REMOVED hey sorry, was interested because a friend was planning to go there and i thought it would be useful for him but turns out he'll go in january so he can't use the ticket! so again im sorry but seems like i wont be able to take it - but pretty sure someone else would be glad to use it! by owoikawa (Tue 19th Nov 2019 1:16pm)
  • Was trying to feed squirrels in botanics, fckn pigeons were making it real hard :(((( He looks like a good boy tho, I'm glad you met him by owoikawa (Fri 29th May 2020 7:12pm)
  • You can get a pack of 5 of those blue ones from Sainsburys for like 3 pounds if I recall right by owoikawa (Fri 10th Jul 2020 4:58pm)
  • The hidden lane has some cool unique stores - there's also this one place on Cresswell Ln where there are a few tiny stores in one building, one of which had very neat postcards that were probably made by independent artists if you're into that (+ Ashton Lane is right there as well) Necropolis if you're an edgy goth like me, it's very moody and it's also interesting to read the different tombstones and see what sort of job you had to have in order to earn a tombstone there The Botanics is extremely pretty, it worths a walk around - sadly I don't think the glasshouses are open but the rest is still quite nice, make sure you bring nuts so you can feed the squirrels at the squirrel-feeding spot (close to the playground) The city is also filled with graffiti art, there are some cool ones at the uni of strathclyde There's also several "churches" that now function as bars/pubs/theatres/etc - if you find that as amusing as i did (coming from a heavily catholic country) then you can do a wee themed trip and just keep visiting "churches", ex. Óran Mór, Websters Theatre (currently works as a pub i think? not sure), etc Sadly I'm not sure how many of these are open but worths checking out info on them online beforehand, hope you'll have a lovely time here!!! c: by owoikawa (Fri 4th Sep 2020 8:54pm)
  • Three Sisters Bake is a very sweet little place, not sure if they're doing milkshakes but their desserts are pretty good by owoikawa (Tue 8th Sep 2020 5:52pm)
  • Reminds me to one of my first ever night outs in Glasgow when I saw these two middle-aged women taking off their shoes in the crossing at Botanics and then walked over to a random front garden barefoot to take a piss/shit there - a truly classy night they were having by owoikawa (Sun 20th Sep 2020 9:39pm)
  • exact same situation, im extremely stressed but I'm just hoping that because it's such short notice (assume you checked in as well) that it will be okay somehow by owoikawa (Sat 19th Dec 2020 6:43pm)
  • I think that should definitely count as essential and you should most definitely go - I think the fear is rather about whether they will cancel flights over this or not by owoikawa (Sat 19th Dec 2020 6:48pm)
  • very moody photo - miss walking there in heels and trying my best not to break my ankle on that stoned road by owoikawa (Tue 5th Jan 2021 4:31pm)

  • hey i had a v similar issue and for me they were usually okay with an online viewing - not the most ideal but it's a possibility and if you happen to know people in glasgow then you could ask them to view it on your behalf and maybe facetime you while doing the viewing? by owoikawa (Tue 17th Aug 2021 8:46pm)
