  • Around 110 per 1/4, For that you get: Ignored by both email and telephone, Regular missed cleaning days, Repairs don’t get carried out… All in all a good service, occasionally we get to contribute to a “float”. That’s another £100 every few months which I guess must go towards their mop buckets as they can’t seem to provide accounts or figures when asked how much is actually in the float. by ozzyzig22 (Thu 27th Oct 2022 2:21pm)
  • https://youtu.be/wo8Iw_JwkqY This for me is the best I’ve heard and would be utterly terrifying! by ozzyzig22 (Sun 30th Oct 2022 8:31am)
  • Aye! Sorry it’s not a “traditional” ghost story๐Ÿ˜‚ Though…I reckon I’d find that more scary tbh! by ozzyzig22 (Sun 30th Oct 2022 10:34am)
  • Heard this story loads of times, loads of different hospitals. One of the variations is he/she asks for the time. Once nurse gets to the ward and recognises her/him, they realise his time of death was the time the nurse had just told him/her it was. by ozzyzig22 (Sun 30th Oct 2022 2:43pm)
  • Don’t stress!!! It just means to wait a couple of hours before using it as it may still be processing. PS there are no stupid questions!๐Ÿ˜ƒ by ozzyzig22 (Mon 31st Oct 2022 11:23pm)
  • Know someone with similar and they come on with the light. Could possibly be jammed so that’s why you’re not hearing it coming on. Look up the manufacturer and see if there’s a manual online somewhere? by ozzyzig22 (Mon 7th Nov 2022 6:30pm)

  • I’ve saw adverts for Latin dancing at Re:Hope Church in Shawlands on a Monday night think those are female only, and I think there’s another class also at the Corona Bar on a Monday as well. by ozzyzig22 (Wed 9th Nov 2022 1:30am)
  • That would be anywhere from 3.01pm until 3.59pm. by ozzyzig22 (Thu 10th Nov 2022 12:08am)
  • Ooh it’s cringey. Worse are the smaller community stations! by ozzyzig22 (Sat 19th Nov 2022 3:39am)
  • Butterfly & Pig is decent, although would maybe call up to ask specifics on the menu. Not sure if they have their Sunday menu online. Same with Mharsanta. Best not to get in too late in case they sell out any items. by ozzyzig22 (Tue 6th Dec 2022 11:49pm)
  • They also deliver on Deliveroo/JustEat etc. Best just to Google “Mharsanta Delivery Glasgow”. Unfortunately I live about 10 ft outside their delivery radius so can’t comment on it but imagine it to be good. Just in case the OP would rather food come to them. by ozzyzig22 (Fri 9th Dec 2022 9:24am)
  • Skip’s Seafood Bar & Grill in the Southside getting amazing reviews for their Sunday stuff. Photos on FB look decent! by ozzyzig22 (Fri 9th Dec 2022 9:21am)
  • Have a look on Spareroom.co.uk That way you can search but also filter it to show female only flatshares etc. Sharing will also give you a bit more flexibility in the sense that there’s less chance of having to commit to a long contract and you can get a feel for the area etc. by ozzyzig22 (Mon 12th Dec 2022 9:25pm)
  • Kaleyard, or take a trip to Manchester and go to the Vegetarian Society Cook School in Altrincham. Highly recommend. by ozzyzig22 (Tue 13th Dec 2022 9:44pm)

  • Foodasia (the supermarket in House Of Sher) definitely has these. I got some recently on deliveroo. They were £1.29 a bottle so guessing they’ll be cheaper instore. by ozzyzig22 (Sun 9th Apr 2023 10:30pm)

Best bet is to Google halal/world food grocers near you, or your nearest city and check those first. Where abouts are you? by ozzyzig22 (Mon 10th Apr 2023 12:27am)
  • Yeah, was the ROF (Royal Ordnance Factory). by ozzyzig22 (Mon 10th Apr 2023 8:52pm)
  • Yeah. It’s pretty much double strength so you really don’t need to use much. Amazing with sparkling water. If you have a SodaStream then you can have the perfect fizz to taste ratio. by ozzyzig22 (Tue 11th Apr 2023 11:58am)
  • Will need to go there, heard a lot of good reviews. Recently visited the Romanian supermarket on Kilmarnock Road. Highly recommend checking that out when they reopen. It’s very spacious, clean and the staff are mega helpful. The prices are great. They stock imported Pepsi (few varieties, Lemon/Vanilla etc) that doesn’t have sweeteners. Various flavours of full sugar Fanta. I bought a 2 litre Fanta Grape bottle for less than you’d pay for a can in most other places. Really good for fruit/vegetables when there was a shortage a few weeks back. by ozzyzig22 (Tue 11th Apr 2023 12:04pm)
  • Unfortunately I can’t remember exactly as I got a few different things and didn’t take a receipt. I’m sure if you messaged their Facebook page they’d get back to you. by ozzyzig22 (Tue 11th Apr 2023 12:07pm)

  • Hector Nicol was great in Just A Boys’ Game, albeit far from a comedy role. by ozzyzig22 (Sun 23rd Apr 2023 1:38pm)

  • There’s a great podcast about this case on Audible. Called “I Am Not Nicholas”. Features interviews with many connected to the case but also family members of his wife/people from her past. https://www.audible.co.uk/pd/I-Am-Not-Nicholas-Podcast/B0BTZ7YLX9?qid=1682263232&sr=1-1&ref=a_search_c3_lProduct_1_1&pf_rd_p=c6e316b8-14da-418d-8f91-b3cad83c5183&pf_rd_r=DV17E653D48PGXFHTJNV&pageLoadId=9Z1k95ZTgxvN6Dbc&creativeId=41e85e98-10b8-40e2-907d-6b663f04a42d by ozzyzig22 (Sun 23rd Apr 2023 4:22pm)
  • It’s a shame how it’s become quite notorious in recent years. I saw some older photos of it a while back on here, from mid 70s I think. The large advert signage gave it a kinda Piccadilly Circus vibe. There’s also a few articles about when Bon Jovi played at Tower Records there. Again, similar vibe to MTV Times Square. by ozzyzig22 (Sun 23rd Apr 2023 7:11pm)
  • The by the slice place was much later than Italmania. Think Italmania would have been early to mid 2000s. Vaguely remember there being some vehicle above the door, maybe a yellow taxi? And maybe a half Lambretta or Vespa inside. It was more of a sit-down family place. I think they had another location in Giffnock. by ozzyzig22 (Sun 23rd Apr 2023 9:22pm)
  • There’s loads I’m forgetting and getting mixed up! I remember when it was the Chopstix place, there was a bathroom down what felt like 6 floors below ground. by ozzyzig22 (Sun 23rd Apr 2023 10:02pm)
  • Ashoka Cook School definitely worth checking out. If you fancy taking a trip, check out the Vegetarian Society Cook School in Altrincham, Greater Manchester. by ozzyzig22 (Sun 23rd Apr 2023 11:17pm)
  • She’s definitely in on it. They pull audio from his supposed previous wife Louise reporting his “death” and it’s clearly this current wife, Miranda, on the phone. Her family/friends believe that she has been manipulated into going along with it. All very strange. by ozzyzig22 (Mon 24th Apr 2023 12:46am)
  • Depending on what area you are in, it could be worth looking to see if there are any local camera clubs you could ask advice from, or even if any members are looking to sell old cameras. I know of Queens Park Camera Club in the Southside, their club is on Millbrae Road. by ozzyzig22 (Tue 25th Apr 2023 12:18pm)

  • Definitely the Transylvanian place in Govanhill, also occasionally Deanston Bakery. https://www.transylvaniashopandcoffee.co.uk Would try the Transylvanian place first, they had the traditional one and a few other cakes that aren’t honey but made in the same way. If this had been a couple of years ago I’d have said go to Cafe Cossachok first. I found theirs to be amazing. by ozzyzig22 (Sat 8th Jul 2023 12:44am)
  • https://www.charlesfrazer.co.uk/ in Newton Mearns Not in the city, but easy enough to get to and heard good reviews. by ozzyzig22 (Mon 10th Jul 2023 9:41am)
  • I never realised I had this phobia until I moved back here last year. One of the neighbours’ cats likes to bring them into the close and play* with them. Been a couple of times I’ve come back in at night and got as far as the third step up, spotted it and done a 180° out of there. * pin the tail with one paw, smite with the other by ozzyzig22 (Wed 9th Aug 2023 11:26pm)

  • If you’re at the harbour area, looking towards the Big Idea building, it would have been in that direction, on the Ardeer peninsula in between Stevenston & Irvine. Grew up near there. by ozzyzig22 (Thu 7th Sep 2023 2:40pm)
  • I hear ya! Nowadays I get so much more joy out of cooking for myself than eating out. However, I recently discovered The Old Fruit Shop in Cathcart. Really nice place and the staff are the friendliest, most helpful people I’ve met. Seemed to have a lot of different themed cuisine events/menus advertised for upcoming weeks. by ozzyzig22 (Mon 2nd Oct 2023 9:44pm)
  • That’s frustrating, did you look at the service update page at all? They usually list any problems they’ve had in certain areas each morning. https://www.royalmail.com/service-update Does seem a bit odd for so many to not turn up. ๐Ÿคž you get it sorted! by ozzyzig22 (Mon 2nd Oct 2023 10:29pm)

  • Are you looking to get rid of the length or keep it long but get styled? by ozzyzig22 (Mon 2nd Oct 2023 11:06pm)
  • I can totally believe this post is true. I’ve experienced similar. When I was really young, around 2 years old, I got burned by an entire kettle full of boiling water. Was in hospital for weeks etc, and then for years had constant treatments/appointments etc. But yeah I have full on scarring over my right shoulder, upper arm, chest, abdomen, hip. As a kid going places like swimming, or during the summer months it would always be the same kinda people that would make ignorant comments, ask stupid questions. Majority would be adults. I was probably too young to really grasp what anyone was saying. But yeah, unfortunately there is a small minority of people who are ignorant enough to comment on other people. Don’t ever feel you have to hide anything from them, and you don’t owe anyone an explanation. by ozzyzig22 (Mon 2nd Oct 2023 11:20pm)
  • Yeah definitely Esushi. Yo!Sushi did at one point, not been in years though. by ozzyzig22 (Tue 3rd Oct 2023 12:56am)
  • https://www.mbe.co.uk/ They have a store in Shawlands, they have all of that stuff. by ozzyzig22 (Tue 3rd Oct 2023 3:34am)
  • Is there a service button on your entry system? Sometimes those are set to unlock the door from anywhere around 5am to lunchtime. Think traditionally it was designed to give posties access. Maybe have a word with your factor/neighbours incase that’s how they are getting in. Majority of posties will just buzz and actual flat nowadays anyway as they come round later than years past. by ozzyzig22 (Tue 3rd Oct 2023 10:28am)
  • Yes. They have a detector van so they know which houses. by ozzyzig22 (Tue 3rd Oct 2023 5:57pm)

  • https://www.ocado.com/products/frodinge-swedish-princess-gateau-frozen-210340011 Suppose Ocado is a backup, but could even be worth contacting some of the smaller independent bakeries and ask if it’s something they’d consider making. I know of one that done Russian honey layer cake after some enquiries. by ozzyzig22 (Fri 10th Nov 2023 8:39pm)
  • Everyone should visit the Gurdwara if they get the chance. I went last year as part of the doors open day and found it fascinating. Really interesting. Everyone was so welcoming and informative. by ozzyzig22 (Mon 13th Nov 2023 10:21am)
  • A couple of years back a woman stopped me on Hope St, just outside the exit/entrance to low level platforms. She was trying to show me something in a notepad when I noticed the kid she was with trying to dip my coat pocket from behind. Didn’t get anything. by ozzyzig22 (Mon 20th Nov 2023 4:20pm)

  • Wasn’t there an explosion of some sort that injured some people? Maybe to do with that? by ozzyzig22 (Thu 23rd Nov 2023 11:57am)
  • What is the temperature set to on the boiler itself? There’s usually two controls. One for water temperature and one for the heating. Increase the heating one and it should make a difference. Even if the thermostat is set to 30°, if the boiler temperature is low then it’ll take ages to reach that. by ozzyzig22 (Sun 3rd Dec 2023 8:11pm)
  • This. So many people won’t realise that’s what makes the difference. by ozzyzig22 (Sun 3rd Dec 2023 8:23pm)
  • Flight to Paris? Apparently lots of the usual touristy places are open on the 25th. Volunteer somewhere? Pre-order some food from somewhere so you don’t have to cook? Don’t feel pressured into making the day “special”. Treat it like an unexpected holiday and do things you enjoy. by ozzyzig22 (Sun 10th Dec 2023 8:05pm)
  • Yeah, don’t set any high expectations. If you end up just having a lazy day then so be it. As long as you just do what makes you happy! by ozzyzig22 (Sun 10th Dec 2023 8:31pm)
