  • I’ve been meaning to join for ages. Also feel like they could use the support just now. Will make a trip at the weekend! by pandfny (Wed 30th Jun 2021 11:44am)
  • Thanks! by pandfny (Wed 30th Jun 2021 11:43am)
  • Great! Thanks so much :) by pandfny (Wed 30th Jun 2021 11:43am)
  • Jessops on sauchiehall street (by the Buchanan galleries) do this! Can get them as prints and / or digital copies on a USB. by pandfny (Sun 1st Aug 2021 9:34am)
  • I saw this on cathedral st at the corner of Hanover st, outside those new student halls? I thought it was a sculpture or something for the new place 😅 Didn’t realise he’d been rolling all over town! by pandfny (Fri 29th Oct 2021 8:19am)
  • Jeeeeze. So glad I left my car at in-laws out of the city centre. Ugh to this. Where about was that? by pandfny (Sat 6th Nov 2021 11:08am)
  • Ugh he’s just the worst. I walked past him once and he was ranting about how social media was bad for mental health. I’m a health researcher (which is why I think he annoys me so much!), and I wanted to tell him that the evidence is mixed. Not sure he’s one for nuance though… by pandfny (Mon 22nd Nov 2021 8:05pm)
  • I’m glad I heard a few folk booing or trying to take him down. Kinda hoping he gets banned from the city or something. Not convinced that’d stop him though 😂 by pandfny (Mon 22nd Nov 2021 9:10pm)
  • I just got signed up to the bridge st dental practice last week. I’d been looking for ages!!! https://dentalscotland.com/glasgow-central/ by pandfny (Sun 19th Dec 2021 12:05am)
  • Ooh thanks. Will take a look. :) by pandfny (Sun 6th Feb 2022 12:50pm)

  • Oh this sounds brilliant. And the arcade is super handy!!! by pandfny (Sun 6th Feb 2022 4:00pm)
  • No I agree - I think naf can be a little over priced and I’ve had artists swapped out at the last minute too - even after having booked well in advance. Hoping that if I find a great place (and folks have suggested some great looking ones) I can avoid naf for a while. by pandfny (Sun 6th Feb 2022 6:23pm)
  • There’s an old guy who does this too on argyle st. I hear it for hours on end in my flat. Honestly. I have to leave the room and work somewhere I can’t hear it. It drives me so crazy. Just those two songs. On repeat. For HOURS. by pandfny (Sat 19th Mar 2022 1:53pm)
  • He’s playing at 8.30am today. Is that even legal?! by pandfny (Sat 26th Mar 2022 8:33am)
  • Lived there for a couple of years. Pretty close to the station which was great for commuting into town. Honestly, it’s just like everywhere. Good bits and bad bits. I never saw anything too rough. Couple of arguments on the Main Street but nothing wild. Felt safe walking around. by pandfny (Mon 25th Apr 2022 3:45pm)
  • I just finished a rubbish day at work. Went to relax in the living room of my flat. And what do I hear? … Deeeespacito!!! Nice end to the day… by pandfny (Thu 28th Apr 2022 5:04pm)
  • Redditors of Glasgow will take action 😅 by pandfny (Thu 28th Apr 2022 11:12pm)
  • I second this. Took my husband there for his 40th and it was brilliant. Have made it a regular date night since :) by pandfny (Sat 14th May 2022 4:32pm)
  • Some folk in the flats on Buchanan st have been trying to pelt him with water balloons… by pandfny (Sun 5th Jun 2022 3:02pm)
  • https://www.facebook.com/gailbrackhumanist/ We had Gail do our ceremony and she was wonderful. She definitely does waterside ceremonies! by pandfny (Thu 9th Jun 2022 4:13pm)
  • The iCafe on Ingram street have a couple of PCs upstairs with a printer. I’ve used them before the computers are slow but it’ll do the job. by pandfny (Wed 22nd Jun 2022 9:17am)
  • Bucks bar sell it. by pandfny (Sat 16th Jul 2022 12:50pm)
  • We rented with them in Airdrie for a while and honestly, never again. We reported noisy neighbours anonymously, they told them it was us who’d reported them. They took about 11 months to send us an inventory despite multiple requests. Every time we went in they looked like they were annoyed that we were interrupting their gossip session. Just all round general incompetence and laziness tbh. by pandfny (Tue 19th Jul 2022 3:57pm)
  • Had Teddy’s ice cream in Dublin this weekend. Can confirm it would be worth the trip! by pandfny (Mon 29th Aug 2022 10:54am)
  • Seems super dodgy. I’ve never been asked for these. At most I’ve been subject to a credit check and that was done by a separate agency, so the landlord / agency never had my specific details. by pandfny (Tue 11th Oct 2022 6:59pm)
  • Coatbridge is mostly safe. Lived there for a couple of years. If you like a walk you could always go to Drumpellier park? Otherwise yeah, definitely get a train from Sunnyside straight to Queen St and explore Glasgow city centre. Much more to do, and better bars and cafes. Could also go the other way and visit Edinburgh too? Take a little longer though. by pandfny (Wed 12th Oct 2022 3:32pm)
  • You’ve got this! Glasgow is a friendly place. by pandfny (Wed 12th Oct 2022 3:41pm)
  • I’ve got mine this afternoon too - last time I had my winter jabs I was maybe 15 mins in line. Then they made me wait 15 mins before I left. Anyone had bad side effects with a second dose of moderna / Pfizer? I had two Astra zenecas, the first one made me feel pretty awful. Last booster was moderna so worried about getting side effects with a second dose. by pandfny (Thu 10th Nov 2022 11:48am)
  • Thanks! That’s helpful to know. Going to cross my fingers they’re stocked up with Pfizer this afternoon then! Otherwise it sounds like work is going to be no fun tomorrow. by pandfny (Thu 10th Nov 2022 11:57am)
  • It totally is. Luck to you too! by pandfny (Thu 10th Nov 2022 12:13pm)
  • Thanks, reassuring that you felt better this time around :) by pandfny (Thu 10th Nov 2022 1:57pm)
  • Central mosque is an hours wait just now. by pandfny (Thu 10th Nov 2022 4:51pm)
  • It’s £85 ish per 3 months. You need to ensure that your flat has been a residential property since 1999 or something. I can’t remember the exact year they specify. But honestly just give them a call / go to the council website / speak to their online chat people and they can advise if your address is able to be administered a parking permit. by pandfny (Tue 17th Jan 2023 8:47am)
  • Latest update says city centre should be restored by 10pm. Let’s see … I’d add a link but the Scottish water website is crashing now. by pandfny (Tue 24th Jan 2023 7:32pm)
  • Despacito man, though granted heard less of him recently. by pandfny (Wed 25th Jan 2023 1:38pm)
  • This is excellent knowledge. Next time he’s outside my flat, I’m taking charge! by pandfny (Wed 25th Jan 2023 9:16pm)
  • Both Glasgow and Strathclyde offer specialist support for estranged students. Try contacting their widening access teams to explain that you’re studying whilst estranged and need support. They should be able to offer bursaries / emergency accommodation/ advice. by pandfny (Tue 7th Feb 2023 7:20am)
  • Also moving to north Lanarkshire soon (Airdrie / Cairnhill) so will be good to see what suggestions you get! by pandfny (Sun 5th Mar 2023 1:04pm)
  • I’m due to have my baby any day now and passed these scumbags twice. I just explode at them. I got really shaken up seeing them yesterday on my way to an antenatal appointment. If they *have* to spew that vile and hateful stuff. Take it to George square or something. Outside a hospital is calculated and deliberately awful. They were holding a “prayer vigil” yesterday and I just couldn’t handle it. Awful people. by pandfny (Thu 15th Jun 2023 7:04am)
  • Virginia court is usually pretty nice in the sunshine. Just off Miller St by pandfny (Fri 16th Jun 2023 10:10am)
  • Seconding this. They helped us move out of a top floor flat (no lift) to just outside the city. Great guys. by pandfny (Fri 16th Jun 2023 5:09pm)
  • I mostly had to buy online. New look did some decently priced maternity jeans and basic t-shirts. The only place I’ve seen with maternity stuff in person was H&M on Buchanan st ad folks have said but the collection was pretty small. by pandfny (Sun 18th Jun 2023 6:48am)
