Excellent wee shop with a range of stock. As a substitute you could turkish pepper flakes (aleppo pepper) which is available in asda and morrisons under the Greenfields brand (check spice aisles) its on the packet as hot chilli flakes a close sub for gochugaru. Have fun making the kimchi love to make bokkenbap with it! by raabdool (Wed 26th Aug 2020 1:45pm)

  • Always a good idea to keep back a little of what you forage incase you do have a mishap. That way you can show the medics what youve ingested and they can treat you quicker. Might be worth while having the number as well. Some really sound advice from OP as well! by raabdool (Wed 23rd Sep 2020 11:42am)

  • Bridgeton is sometimes considered a rough area but don't let that put you off. You are in cracking proximity to great ammenties. Glasgow Green is your garden and you are a mear 20 minute walk into the city centre. The east end is undergoing a lot of regeneration works at the momemt which will only see the area improve further. Plus once restrictions are lifted you will have WEST on the Green as your local. Good food, good beer! by raabdool (Mon 8th Feb 2021 4:11pm)

  • I made a complete arse of that and not read it properly. That books based far from Glasgow haha. Not exactly Glasgow based but not far there is a novella series called Death in a Northern Town by Peter Mckiernan. First one should be free on Kindle. Its set in Runcorn and is kinda zombie/comedy but great patter and a decent story. by raabdool (Wed 28th Apr 2021 3:23pm)

  • r/shroomID. Not many folk will give you their spots as you can imagine these places are few and far between. Serious mycologists don't want randoms decimating their patch. Take only what you need and leave some to maintain the population if you do find them. Most importantly be sure of what you are picking. If in doubt leave it out. Finally don't be too obvious in what you are up to. As an end note just be careful where yo forage as local authorities are known to spray nasties around all in the name of weed and pest control. by raabdool (Mon 23rd Aug 2021 9:27pm)
  • No risotto then? by raabdool (Mon 23rd Aug 2021 9:31pm)

  • Parking times are reduced in the Asda car park during event times I believe but it's a short walk from Hampden and as long as you aren't too long you should get away with it. Another option is mount Florida but at finishing time it will be chocka with the residents parking. You could also maybe try the football centre across from Asda but again most likely to be busy. by raabdool (Tue 23rd Aug 2022 2:28pm)
  • The whole surrounding area will be a nightmare mate for at least good hour or two after it. If you Google the roll shop on maps you'll see some surrounding streets in the area potential for it to be quieter. Just thinking as well you have the new polmadie services just before the m74 bit of a longer trek from Hampden though. by raabdool (Tue 23rd Aug 2022 2:36pm)

You'll also get a chance to bump into to dog walkers etc great for the mind body and soul ! by raabdool (Tue 11th Jul 2023 12:42pm)
  • Make your own bud. You can buy a pizza dough mix and toppings from any supermarket and if you want a decent sauce you'll find good recipes on Google. Mines tends just to be passata minced garlic and basil salt and pepper. Cooked til reduced enough to hold itself on the base. For me the real important thing is those pizza trays with the holes. If you can source one a pizza stone is good as well. Once you have them in your arsenal you can go mental with different combos. I prefer the simpler ones sauce mozz olive oil olives and some basil to finish. Can also add some some cured meats if that's your think. by raabdool (Fri 21st Jul 2023 11:34am)
