  • Council removing bins and refusing to empty them when they are full. Glasgow city council is the worst the only work they do is adding useless cycle lanes that no cyclist uses to claim money of the eu before the money stops. Or burning down buildings to sell planning permission to large companies. Rather than maintain our beautiful buildings they let them go into disrepair until they are deemed dangerous and sell of land that was donated to the people of glasgow not the council. Just look at the state of the roads and how they fix them. Absolute ponzi scheme Rant over by rasherboy (Mon 9th Aug 2021 9:50am)

  • Would never pay it I argue parking most times. When the debt collector are involved it’s a scare tactic. Tell them you have appealed the fine and are in despite and ask the council to take you to court if they do not agree with appeal . They have no legal authority to decide things themselves. if you have a letter in appealing ticket with in the first 14 days they can only take you to court for £30 as this was the price at time you disputed it. They continue to increase it but every time they write to you re send a letter saying I don’t agree with your out come please take this matter to court. Very unlikely worth their money. by rasherboy (Fri 13th Aug 2021 9:41am)
  • Will it end up like the shield road bridge reduced to 2 lanes instead of 4. I would guess for 12 years now and no plan to fix it by rasherboy (Sat 14th Aug 2021 9:57am)
  • Where is it now?? Some councillor with a moat and ducks I guess by rasherboy (Sat 14th Aug 2021 2:37pm)
  • Don’t let the pricks in they are doing it to skip the que but people just keep letting them in. If everyone stops letting them in we will all get home quicker and they won’t and they will be frustrated it they pull into your lane don’t move blast your horn and if they hit your car it’s their fault by rasherboy (Sun 15th Aug 2021 7:39pm)
  • It really does if everyone lets in 2 cars and you add on the extra breaking it puts the city at a stand still and 300 people just jumped the que of 300 so doubled the time . Have you ever drive home from Edinburgh at rush hour and wonder why you keep stopping on a motorway and there’s is no accidents or anything. You slow down to let someone in and and reduce your speed by 5 mph the guy behind you slows down by 6 and the guy behind him slows down. More by the time the breaking is 3 miles back everyone has stopped to let one guy in so he can get home faster than everyone else by rasherboy (Mon 16th Aug 2021 7:57am)

  • Lane discipline on Scottish motorways have always been horrific. I was joining the m74 on Saturday and had to break to go behind two cars to join the only two cars on the whole motorway. Not one of them moved into either of the two free lanes or slowed down. It’s so nice the few times I drive to England put your indicator on and people will move if it’s safe to do so by rasherboy (Tue 2nd Aug 2022 7:54am)
  • Most shops round central have fire exits into some parts of the tunnels have also been in some around st Enoch square with access. There used to be a boarded up access door that was fenced in around at hootenanny but was grounded over and is now there outside pub space. • 7am-10am is legally the times. I’ve read some of the comments about other people going to bed early etc but if you have to go to work eat then start working on your own house what can you do. Try to be as considerate as you can but only so much you can do quietly by rasherboy (Sat 6th Aug 2022 7:23pm)
  • I did mean 10pm and it is 10. I have to deal with the council all the time at work from neighbors complaining about noise and you have to be under 70db 1.5 m from the complaining neighbors property between 10pm and 7am according to glasgow council. • I would complain to gcc that you have only have 3 bins for 8 households you all pay council tax and are entitled to the same amount of bins as every other household. Seems more like a bin shortage to me by rasherboy (Sat 20th Aug 2022 3:07pm)
  • Each household is entitled to a bin each. people in houses don’t share bins and pay the same council tax. why should 8 households share 3 bins no wonder they are resorting to put bags in the wrong bin. And just because you have 8 bins doesn’t mean they will take all 8 that’s another problem by rasherboy (Sat 20th Aug 2022 5:59pm)

  • Selling your home is one of the things that we have be brainwashed into thinking it’s about making money. My biggest advise would be go with a reputable company it may cost you more money to advertise with them but you are selling you home. Don’t try and save £100 when your selling the the most expensive thing you will ever own. by rasherboy (Sun 25th Sep 2022 7:10am)
  • Why shouldn’t they? they have to travel to site and back, which involves paying the engineer all the time travelling paying for a van paying for diesel pay for the tools in the van and insurance pay for the spare parts in the van. Then there the office where they pay rent rates electricity and gas building insurance pay a cleaner to clean it. The office worker to answer the phone the computers in the office the IT guy to fix them the internet company the phone company. Public liability insurance. Accountancy program accountant paper and printer and ink envelopes and stamps for invoices. But hey that all sounds really cheap and sounds like the guy should take £50 put in his pocket dodge the tax and the company will just pay everything else by rasherboy (Wed 19th Oct 2022 8:53pm)
  • Tips are down because delivery charges are up I’m not paying £3-5 for delivery then tipping. The extra charges on just eat have gotten out of control. I tend not to use it now and went back to phoning and tipping. by rasherboy (Mon 24th Oct 2022 11:38am)

  • This has always been a badly designed part, short lanes from the fly over with double lights. It used to be the middle lane would go to the middle left lane as you went round the corner and right lane had to go back over the fly over( you had people try to race round the corner to jump the que). But that road lay out changed for the g8 or whatever the climate convention was called and then the middle lane was instructed to go into the left lane (which probably makes more sense for traffic getting through the lights apart from the parked cars so really only caused the same issue) most people didn’t notice this change maybe due to COVID and them not driving much during this time or maybe not able to read the signs or road marking or just didn’t care so 50/50 of people using the correct lane. Now the new road layout signs are down( maybe time since it was new , maybe they want to go back to the old way) and the markings are missing so everyone confused. by rasherboy (Sun 22nd Jan 2023 3:37pm)
  • Yeah bad drivers cyclists and pedestrians everywhere. everyone should be re educated. Especially in the city jumping lights by everyone is just dangerous. Pedestrian crossing where they want when there is traffic lights just beside them but no one wants to wait for the green man any way. cars parked everywhere and trying to get through every set of lights quickly and cyclist not following any of the rules cycling on road cycling lanes then pavements through the green man down a one way street the wrong way and then back on the road. by rasherboy (Fri 10th Feb 2023 7:57am)

  • I Don’t fit air to water heat pumps but do fit normal air con heat pumps and I’m sure at -5 they run at 95% and at -10 run at 85% of maximum heat load without fitting heater systems in condensing unit for defrost and anti frost. So when sizing the unit it should be sized based off worst working conditions going to be used in. If it’s the only form of heating I would size at -15 outside temperature so it would work in the worst of conditions. You will lose some efficiency in the milder days but better than not having heat when you really need it. by rasherboy (Wed 29th Mar 2023 7:40am)
