  • That's a fair point, if it's fun enough to want to show your pals it's only decent to throw a coin or 2 in his hat. by speschulk (Sat 1st Jun 2019 8:59pm)
  • He probably does a fair bit of miming but it's a fun wee show as well so if you have a wee laugh fling him a 20p if he's entertained you regardless of how he's done his job. by speschulk (Sat 1st Jun 2019 8:57pm)
  • So you're saying someone enjoyed the wee show? by speschulk (Sat 1st Jun 2019 10:05pm)
  • But you need to remember as well the wanks will open the bottles regardless of the law so let them be wanks and the rest of us have fun. by speschulk (Sat 1st Jun 2019 11:28pm)
  • Glasgow Taxi Outing, all the black cabs take the day off to decorate their cabs and take all of the sick and special needs kids to Troon for the day. they get a non stop police escort pretty much the entire way. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ShxkVN1ARhI by speschulk (Wed 19th Jun 2019 12:25pm)

  • My dad used to drive it in the 90s and I would get the odd opportunity to skive off school and sit in the luggage bay on an up turned milk crate. They don't go as all out with the balloons as they used to which is a shame, my parents have told me stories of the guys who took the best in show prize far too seriously with some of them having the car off the road a week in advance for decorating. by speschulk (Wed 19th Jun 2019 2:26pm)
  • That one was a cracker, i still love seeing them but it's a shame they probably don't have the time to put the effort in that they used to. by speschulk (Wed 19th Jun 2019 6:59pm)
  • I blame the downfall of the video shop, my dad would just go into a blockbusters and claim all the out of date kids themed cut outs and glue them onto the side with a couple of dozen balloons 🤣 by speschulk (Wed 19th Jun 2019 7:08pm)
  • Sounds like everyone already thinks he's mental and has no credibility. I might just be petty but fuck it, give him what he thinks he's getting for a few days. by speschulk (Mon 24th Jun 2019 5:29pm)
  • They're in festival mode, it's not their fault it's in a city centre and not a field in the middle of nowhere. by speschulk (Sat 13th Jul 2019 2:11pm)
  • bit late but I had front row for this one where the M77 joins the M8, fella threatening to jump then one of the polis calmed him down and took him away. by speschulk (Fri 19th Jul 2019 11:44am)
  • Cash and card (when the card machines were working) everything was perfect apart the bar situation which killed everyone's buzz for the whole affair. The only time I didn't queue close to an hour for a drink was the first round when we got in just after 5. If they can sort that in 24 hours fair play to them you'll have a ball. by speschulk (Sat 3rd Aug 2019 9:46am)
  • Getting in was a breeze but we were in early and it was a work day so no idea what it'll be like over the weekend, only seen like 5 polis and not a dog in sight. by speschulk (Sat 3rd Aug 2019 10:21am)
  • Stories last night say you'll be needing your waders as well by speschulk (Sun 4th Aug 2019 12:13pm)
  • If it's what it takes to reopen the tearooms I guess I'll take it by speschulk (Mon 5th Aug 2019 1:10am)
  • The Uber eats/deliveroo cycling really is a good thing to invest in. I've been doing it over the past year just for beer money and saving up for the odd nice thing (like 10 hours a week the weeks I can be bothered). Hats off to the guys who do it full time though having the stamina and determination to do those hours and outside summer is something else. by speschulk (Thu 8th Aug 2019 9:54am)
  • £10 p/h isn't usually hard and you get the odd mega lucky shift but again I wouldn't do it as a full time job, I like going out the odd wee run on my bike and its nice getting paid to exercise. by speschulk (Thu 8th Aug 2019 10:22am)
  • I give this photo 3.7 out of ,,5, good but not great by speschulk (Sun 11th Aug 2019 1:02am)
  • Cheers folks nice to see the old ways still work. Got another go at the presale tomorrow and then general sale on Friday for slipknot so here's hoping it doesn't come to taking the gamble. by speschulk (Wed 28th Aug 2019 4:15pm)
  • British heart Foundation and shelter on Stockwell streetand Debra in shawlands and maryhill road all have big furniture stores. I'm sure there's a Sally army down at the bottom of byres road as well so I guess it's just about who you want to support now. by speschulk (Sun 8th Sep 2019 9:14pm)
  • If it's an emergency twice a year suit you can't go wrong with a charity shop in a posh area, got a cracking John Lewis own brand for a tenner for a Halloween costume a few years back and actually used it a few times since. by speschulk (Sun 8th Sep 2019 9:16pm)
  • Sorry just seen "large" and "furniture" missing the "not" 😅 I've not been in it in ages but the Debra on maryhill road is a massive site so they might do storage/distribution for other stores if it's that big a donation. by speschulk (Sun 8th Sep 2019 11:18pm)
  • Only bit I don't get with flat earth is where is the governments pay off with this lie? Like I totally get if your crazy enough how you can see sense in chemtrails and anti vaxx but what is the illuminati pay off with hiding the shape of the planet? by speschulk (Mon 9th Sep 2019 11:25am)

  • A lot of people are going to disappointed when they realise this isn't a "classic coke" scenario and what was discontinued recently was a recipe that's probably been "improved" dozens of times the last 100 years. by speschulk (Wed 23rd Oct 2019 1:41pm)

  • It's a wee while away yet but the secc will be looking for box office/voucher booth workers for the carnival soon. It's been a fair few years since I done it but they throw all the hours you can take at you. by speschulk (Wed 6th Nov 2019 10:36am)

  • One of the rare things that really makes me miss the old days in the big hall 4. 15 pals 3 standing tickets and the logistics of getting everyone in. by speschulk (Fri 17th Jan 2020 10:36am)
  • This happened to me last night! I was looking for my phone and must have found about a dozen cases. As soon as I came across the second Samsung case that had both the front and back of the shell intact the penny dropped on what was happening. Theres no way a phone slips out of a sealed case. by speschulk (Sun 19th Jan 2020 10:21am)
  • Got stung the exact same way mate, I gave up on thinking I dropped it when I found a front and back case still together, obviously binned them incase people had those tiles or similar devices/cases by speschulk (Mon 20th Jan 2020 12:06am)
  • sfotmodding the old fat ps3 can be a fun project. managed to get one in the cash generator on dumbarton road for £24. After a few hours of youtube have got it set up emulating pretty much everything up to PS1 age on Retroarch, playing PS3 images off the hard drive and as a pretty handy wee media player. by speschulk (Mon 17th Feb 2020 1:02pm)
  • Talk about the morality of it all you want but about 7-8 years ago when I went to city of Glasgow I would park under the high flats in town head. At least 2/3 of the resident parking space poles were broken/missing and there where no other controls to stop you. Get there with plenty of time to spare and do a few laps round the place looking and you would be fine for the whole day. by speschulk (Fri 28th Feb 2020 10:24am)
  • Tenner in the timpsons in the Savoy. Take them literally 30 seconds but they did say they can't do all types of fob. No proof of address and no different from asking for any other key to be copied. by speschulk (Sat 29th Feb 2020 10:25pm)
  • Similar theme, anyone know a good spot you can park up with bold foxes you can throw food to out the windows? by speschulk (Wed 18th Mar 2020 2:09pm)
  • We weren't the fancy skiing types but this was always our UK long weekend growing up and always planned to go back at some point as an adult, just feels dirty now. by speschulk (Fri 20th Mar 2020 1:37am)
  • I'm sure if was a Hilton when we would go, all I remember is a massive warehouse full of bouncy castles and softplay and a bangin arcade by speschulk (Fri 20th Mar 2020 12:02pm)
  • This is the Uber eats driver app, look for your nearest McDonald's and the darker the spot the higher the surge. I've never seen anything like this in my 2 years doing this and especially not on a Monday. by speschulk (Mon 23rd Mar 2020 5:44pm)
  • Its not bad here, I only do weekends but get out at the right time and the place and £12-13+ can be doable by speschulk (Mon 23rd Mar 2020 6:24pm)
  • Don't bother your arse with the supermarkets, we tried like 4 or 5 of the big ones with the homeward/toy sections and the best we could find was the knock own brand buckaroos. Couldn't even see a cheap plastic draughts/chess set. However we did get a bike delivered same day from argos to the Sainsbury's on great Western road so that's probably the best shout. by speschulk (Sun 29th Mar 2020 3:06pm)
  • Plenty of us still refer to the hospital and general area as the southern I'm sure. by speschulk (Mon 6th Apr 2020 12:19pm)
  • It's a part of a reasonably sized chain, they'll be fine by speschulk (Wed 8th Apr 2020 7:56pm)
  • We got a wee family of ducks and swans on the canal behind firhill last week. Lovely seeing them after watching them sitting on the nest everyday . by speschulk (Mon 25th May 2020 12:31pm)
  • I was on the top floor of that office building you see on the right. That's a view you never stop getting jealous of when you see it in the summer. by speschulk (Sun 5th Jul 2020 10:21am)
  • Mine has been fine on the ethernet but the WiFi a few times a week is going to the "no connection/requires login" screen. Assuming it's a firmware update but assuming that would bring down the hardwired devices as well. by speschulk (Tue 21st Jul 2020 10:26pm)
  • My favourite part about this is winding up the "but road tax" mob on all the Facebook news stories. by speschulk (Mon 3rd Aug 2020 4:43pm)
  • I was speaking to the owner of the boathouse restaurant at the pond about it, they got the notice of site planning and news about their free tickets and stuff months in advance last year and haven't heard anything yet. Take that information as you like but I don't see it being a good sign. by speschulk (Fri 14th Aug 2020 10:45am)
  • So after reading this I seen I've got red out the front and white round the back with the next block over being all red. by speschulk (Sat 15th Aug 2020 11:17am)
  • The digger obviously by speschulk (Tue 6th Oct 2020 1:26pm)
  • I'll take them if they're going free 😅 fell into a terrible habit of picking up old games I'll never play but look good on my shelves by speschulk (Fri 9th Oct 2020 10:03am)
  • I'm behind the five aside pitches near lidl. Virgin Was pretty consistent and just last week got the brand new hyperoptic which might be at your end by now. I'm on there 1gb package and at peak times can still hit the 600's on a speed test. by speschulk (Fri 9th Oct 2020 10:06am)
  • Mines red in the front and blonde on the back, but some of the neighbouring closes are red all over. If there's any part time "lost Glasgow" types think you can get me a date on ancroft street? by speschulk (Sun 18th Oct 2020 9:29am)
  • That is interesting because to walk down it is no different from any other tenement street you would know. The original road would need to be a whole lot closer to garscube to be any use as a lane as well. by speschulk (Sun 18th Oct 2020 11:34am)
  • I couldn't remember the last time I got on a bus before it but was charged nearly £3 from bridge Street to shawlands cross on the 57 and the ticket had some place in the far ends of Pollok on it. What's that all about? by speschulk (Thu 26th Nov 2020 10:12am)
  • I just want to know what makes hillpark deserving of being on a poster. Grew up there and almost every person I've ever told I've had to just describe as "just past shawlands" by speschulk (Sat 12th Dec 2020 5:45pm)

  • No input on this one but recently moved just across the Clyde from their helipad and the thing is up and down like a yoyo everyday. by speschulk (Tue 2nd Mar 2021 8:40am)
  • They can get a bit out of hand if your not regular with the hoover but you'll notice a difference straight away when you do a lap round the skirting with a can of raid. Honestly though don't freak out it's not like having bed bugs or fleas and I genuinely believe there isn't a house in the city that doesn't have at least one cutting about somewhere. by speschulk (Sat 10th Apr 2021 7:54pm)
  • That's exactly the sort of thing I'm looking for! I've sent you a message. by speschulk (Fri 7th May 2021 11:56pm)
  • The wee black beetles? I used to get lots of them in my old flat, a lap round the skirting boards with a can of raid does the trick. Turns out they were all getting in through the gap in the floor for the radiator pipe, over the next few hours a good 20 or so came running out and died withing a few feet. Did this every 6 months and they were never seen again. by speschulk (Sun 16th May 2021 3:57pm)
  • I'm 32 and in G11, I asked what to expect when my partnered called after some old address confusion. Apparently I'm 1st June at the hydro and the letters in the post. by speschulk (Tue 18th May 2021 1:01pm)
  • Don't down vote the guy, it's cheeky as fuck but every CoG, Strathy and Cali student done it by speschulk (Tue 8th Jun 2021 11:06pm)
  • I can quote a pest controller saying "there isn't a house in Glasgow without these" they are horrible to see but harmless, do a round the skirting board with raid and you'll see where they are coming from when they run. Do that every 6 months and you'll never see more than 1-2 at a time by speschulk (Tue 8th Jun 2021 11:25pm)
  • That was the gallery, used to come down from central college of commerce at lunch time. Would go to thr amusements cafe for a breakfast roll, cake and a can for £2 then in there for a pint. Must have been about 2006. by speschulk (Fri 25th Jun 2021 11:32pm)
  • Google says giant dark horsefly, in all my 33 years its new to me and its terrifying. by speschulk (Sat 17th Jul 2021 12:35am)
  • And if you ask the guy that runs the place he'll show you all his photos and talk about it for days. by speschulk (Sat 28th Aug 2021 2:44pm)
  • Makes sense, seen that but expected it to be in the arena. First summer of outdoor music up here, I've not been able to pick anything up before other than bellahouston. by speschulk (Sat 11th Sep 2021 9:51pm)
  • I grew up in Hillpark and remember the myths about bubbles, it was knocked down when I was a teenager. We all knew what was going on but I've never heard any actual confirmation on what that strange little building was. by speschulk (Fri 24th Sep 2021 11:24am)
  • Obviously out of curiosity and no interest in doing in at all. How much could someone rip one of these people for a double bed in the high-rises in broomhill? Asking for a mate. by speschulk (Sun 26th Sep 2021 11:09am)
  • The fact they will be able to watch Netflix on the PlayStation and I'll be doing them a roll and square every morning surely means I could charge £1200 by speschulk (Sun 26th Sep 2021 11:23am)
  • No idea I'm just planning to hang about near the back waiting for it to kick off, hopefully near a Currys or something. by speschulk (Sat 16th Oct 2021 8:53pm)
  • Because a lot of them don't send the order to the kitchen until the driver arrives then expect them to wait 20 minutes to pick up the food for the delivery they will make £3.40 on. I do uber eats for beer money and even on slow days I'll still point blank refuse a McDonald's job. by speschulk (Sun 17th Oct 2021 3:42pm)
  • No idea but they seem to know something McDonald's don't. The majority of places I go in to pickup a box/bag feeling like it's fresh out the oven and I'm in and out in less than a minute. by speschulk (Sun 17th Oct 2021 4:53pm)
  • I've found generally if you stay a reasonable distance away they don't bother you too much, driving a loop of byres road, woodlands Road, GWR seems to do the trick. by speschulk (Sun 17th Oct 2021 5:38pm)
  • How open is Dublin just now anyway? We're going next week for a gig thats now cancelled so just getting smashed for a weekend now. by speschulk (Wed 20th Oct 2021 8:12pm)
  • We've got a cracking view from our kitchen window and been watching it from the start. Really looking forward to seeing move into the water. by speschulk (Wed 20th Oct 2021 8:40pm)
  • From charing Cross to speingburn to pick up the missus then home to broomhill was a whopping 2 hours and 35 minutes. Although I did feel right chuffed seeing my wee citroen clearly do better than the flooded designer suvs I forded past. by speschulk (Wed 27th Oct 2021 11:46pm)
  • I'm going to jump in instead of making a new thread, anyone got an idea of what it'll be like getting through the tunnel to broomhill from the airport? We're also considering the train from gilmore Street as a backup plan. by speschulk (Sun 31st Oct 2021 10:50am)
  • We were our a walk tonight and the barrier for kelvingrove was at church Street, I get that they need security but surely they need to find a spot that's both secure and we can hurl abuse. by speschulk (Mon 1st Nov 2021 8:19pm)
  • Amazing wee pub that too many groups pretend they can't see to just go up GWR. The rules says the closest pub and the castle vaults is a proper wee gem. by speschulk (Tue 9th Nov 2021 11:06pm)
  • It was like 5 years ago but I'm sure there is a direct from Edinburgh. by speschulk (Sun 28th Nov 2021 11:26am)
  • Had a driver take the huff with me over cards because he has to wait to the end of the month, I pointed out that's just like the rest of us then. And never mind card fees that's like 2-5% easily made up with the usual rounding up the meter most folk do anyway. by speschulk (Fri 10th Dec 2021 8:14am)
  • Even yodel don't like yodel. I waited in all day watching the tracker and then seeing it marked as delivery failed. For context I live near the thornwood roundabout and never seen the guy pass to the west side of Byres Road. The guy in the depot was decent and straight up told me the subcontractor is known as being a lazy bastard and won't be around for long. by speschulk (Sat 11th Dec 2021 9:50am)
  • Don't worry there isn't a house in Scotland without these. A can of raid around rhe skirting boards and a regular hoovering won't get rid of them but will greatly reduce their numbers. by speschulk (Sun 12th Dec 2021 8:45am)
  • They love carpet and the dark so probably laying their eggs behind the sofa or under the bed, get the hoover in there and it'll all be good. by speschulk (Sun 12th Dec 2021 8:50am)
  • Some generic Facebook article wrote to all the different uk police forces to see if this was true. Many said it was but police Scotland was in the "not available for comment" camp. by speschulk (Wed 22nd Dec 2021 8:28pm)

  • 100% AMK if its furniture they will rent you a hand cart as well for a decent fee. Only thing I've used boulevard for is big tip runs for garden waste because I know they won't moan about a bit of leaves and muck in the back when I'm done but every one I've had has been fucking terrifying. by speschulk (Wed 16th Feb 2022 7:57am)
  • Whoever takes them, can you message me the name of the bear? by speschulk (Tue 8th Mar 2022 9:27pm)
  • The crowds and noise and whatever else drive me mental but public transport in london is fucking brilliant, why is it not the standard everywhere? by speschulk (Fri 1st Apr 2022 2:05am)
  • The app now tells the driver the distance and fare, it used to be you took the job and got what you got, this was to avoid any kind of discrimination in booking. They've done something similar to the food app as well (I've been doing the takeaways on and off a few years) and wouldn't be surprised if anyone up a big hill struggles to get a takeaway in an area with more cycle couriers than car. by speschulk (Wed 6th Apr 2022 1:19pm)
  • We all want a nice life but unfortunately they aren't like that because they are wealthy, they are wealthy because they are like that. by speschulk (Sat 30th Apr 2022 8:04am)
  • Are you fixing a Nintendo by any chance? I was needing a triwing and the only place I got one at short notice was a mobile phone repair kit out of europarts. Also a cracking wee kit in general. by speschulk (Mon 9th May 2022 10:05pm)

  • Not in my experience, also for the super chancers out there last time it was e-tickets and they didn't scan the bar code so next time you go out in a group of 8 buy 2 I guess? by speschulk (Thu 14th Jul 2022 12:47am)
  • I'm on both, just eat is outstanding and even slips you an extra 50p when mcdonalds has you standing about waiting for ages. Uber is now strictly for desperate times when there's not a just eat shift going. by speschulk (Thu 14th Jul 2022 2:33pm)
  • Fuck knows what you're talking about but happy for ye by speschulk (Sat 6th Aug 2022 11:39pm)

  • So not city fibre but had hyperoptic in a tenement and thats close enough, if your eligible for an install they already have a router in the loft. You'll get a cat 6 or whatever is common now from thr loft to your door. by speschulk (Sat 6th Aug 2022 11:45pm)

  • Love phoning them up to cancel, be told that I won't get as good with anyone else and just letting them know it's OK my girlfriend will be a new customer starting the day after it shuts down. Their fault for still doing new customer only pish, should be getting our £100 broadband choices voucher shortly as well. by speschulk (Thu 1st Sep 2022 1:56pm)
  • Really no one? I'll say it then. Plate of frozen pish under the door should sort it. by speschulk (Thu 1st Sep 2022 2:21pm)
  • Speaking of experience when I did the eats, if you knew a better route than their app you got paid less. In my experience at least it just became compliance to ensure a decent pay. by speschulk (Fri 16th Sep 2022 2:51pm)
  • I've done alright some nights but never £21ph stop talking pish. by speschulk (Mon 31st Oct 2022 5:47pm)
  • It was response I did a few years on that campaign as well. Nothing topped the Robin Hood feeling when you were luring nice customers into using the appropriate key words to trigger a refund that would get by your call monitoring. by speschulk (Thu 15th Dec 2022 11:00am)
  • Is she a heavy sleeper? I recently proposed but was concerned about sizing. You can get a set of those sizing rings on amazon for about a fiver and managed to blag doing it in her sleep. Totally nailed it. by speschulk (Fri 6th Jan 2023 9:12am)

  • I always paid sometimes depending on the part time job so little it would have no impact on running the house but that along with keeping credit in my phone was my first lesson in budgeting and planning for bills on payday. by speschulk (Sun 5th Mar 2023 12:51pm)
  • Absolutely, I can't stand the idea of the single use disposables. I'm a regular vape user after starting as an alternative to smoking and it seems this has stopped being the primary reason to take it up. Getting started with good equipment and buying decent juice is expensive at the beginning and stopping the sale of disposables will be a massive hit to kids affording it with pocket money and the "only smoke when I'm pissed" types falling into a full time habit. And as far as the litter part goes not only are these batteries toxic and hard to dispose of apparently they can be salvaged charged and used for other things. Who throws out a perfectly good rechargeable battery? by speschulk (Wed 15th Mar 2023 10:49am)
  • I would like to say they are told to nod and agree to avoid any confrontation then sneak a ticket on as soon as your back is turned but I honestly believe they are simply the most bitter unhappy people you'll ever meet. Last time I got one was parking outside the office, told him I was running upstairs to grab some 50p's out the jug specifically for parking and he got me and vanished inside 90 seconds. I usually respect that we all need to work and a job needs to be done but would rather spend my life in the dole queue than take that as a last resort. by speschulk (Fri 7th Apr 2023 9:41am)
