  • There’s a reason it’s cheap! by tbar44 (Mon 23rd Aug 2021 8:31am)
  • Had a look, they had lots of different Fantas, but no orange or lemon. They did have Club orange and lemon which I did pick up, but the search for imported orange and lemon Fanta continues... by tbar44 (Fri 3rd Sep 2021 9:23am)
  • Jumped in and did indeed get some Faygo and Dr Pepper, but alas no Fanta orange or lemon :( by tbar44 (Fri 3rd Sep 2021 9:21am)
  • Thanks for looking, as suspected every other flavour apart from the two I want! by tbar44 (Fri 3rd Sep 2021 9:20am)

  • There no real restrictions, a lot of false info on here. It all comes down to cost, older buildings such as tenements can be in the tens of thousands to double glaze, so not many folk do. My tenement luckily was fully double glazed by the previous owner and it does make a difference to my heating bills compared to neighbours, but not to the point where I would have spent the money myself I don't think. by tbar44 (Sat 4th Dec 2021 7:24pm)
  • Are they actually outside or in the close? If it's outside/ on the steps then while not ideal I'm not sure there's much else you could expect them to do? by tbar44 (Fri 17th Dec 2021 3:00pm)

  • Used to go back in 2003/2004 after work when I worked in Blanket, was next to the car garage eh? by tbar44 (Sat 17th Sep 2022 12:18am)
  • Hasn't really been asked or mentioned, but any particular reason for moving out of the city centre? If it's just for a change of scenery fair enough, but if it's to save money a fair few places mentioned (Bishopbriggs, Lenzie and so on) aren't really going to help save rent costs, which I'll assume you'll be doing. Do you work in Glasgow, and how often would you be planning to commute if so? by tbar44 (Sun 9th Oct 2022 3:09pm)
  • I’m with Scottish Power, my DD came off on the 3rd as usual for my normal amount, then I got a refund directly into my bank account of £66 on 11th. So give it a week or so and you should get the money back. by tbar44 (Thu 20th Oct 2022 8:15am)
  • Fat Hippo have a few vegan options if you don't mind just burgers by tbar44 (Mon 12th Dec 2022 1:39pm)
  • Agree this probably the best bet. Grab some food in the casino next door, then few games of bowling would be my suggestion. by tbar44 (Sun 15th Jan 2023 10:00am)
  • Any idea who it is that delivers? My close doens't have a security door so would be keen to know who! by tbar44 (Sat 24th Jun 2023 2:26am)
  • Not trying to be patronising, but you do know how average speed cameras work don’t you? The speed you are travelling while passing the camera is irrelevant. It just takes a date and time stamp from when you pass it, and compares it with the previous camera. That’s then used to calculate the speed. You’re technically allowed a 10% plus 2 leeway for speed cameras in the UK so for a 40 zone as long as you average under 46mph you should be fine. Are you just assuming you’ll get a fine here or have you actually receive anything through the post? Given what you’ve described I think it’s unlikely you will get a notice but stranger things have happened. by tbar44 (Tue 22nd Aug 2023 9:34am)

  • Might be an idea to get and independent quote or even multiple. Then based on the cost you could use that as a reasonable objection if the costs are vastly different. by tbar44 (Tue 5th Sep 2023 11:58pm)
  • Got the proportions for this? by tbar44 (Wed 13th Sep 2023 5:00am)
  • Glasgow is not a less safe city than New York, your friend is either extremely unlucky or exaggerating. by tbar44 (Sat 23rd Sep 2023 9:29am)
  • Have you got a loud engine (diesel?), and did it take you ages to park, maybe earlier in the day? Could have woken someone up and annoyed them by taking ages to get into the space maybe? by tbar44 (Mon 25th Sep 2023 5:49pm)
  • Went with Giganet personally on the 900meg package as was a good deal (12 months for price of 9), if you do any sort of online gaming on PC or run any sort of servers etc, a static IP is a must. Giganet £3 extra a month for this. I was also able to use my own router as the EERO router most seem to provide is garbage. Severely lacking in Ethernet ports, and has be managed through a phone app. No web ui which is nonsense IMHO. I also max out the 900meg over Ethernet using my own router whereas on the EERO router I was only getting ~700meg speeds. by tbar44 (Sat 14th Oct 2023 9:46pm)
  • That’s definitely too cold, but storage heaters are crazy expensive to run so the electricity bill doesn’t actually seem that expensive all things considered. by tbar44 (Sun 19th Nov 2023 7:48am)
