  • Can confirm. My girlfriend and I have been stared at and even laughed at a couple of times in Glasgow but mostly in the city centre in the evening by thebroadisbored (Fri 19th Feb 2021 5:20pm)
  • Yes!! I remember something quite similar. Mad safety videos back then in school. Even this educational building we went to and they had dangerous situations like railroad tracks, a house that could be set on fire by a chip pan and a bit with pretend needles by thebroadisbored (Sat 20th Feb 2021 10:31pm)
  • That’s exactly it! For some reason I thought it was the east end of Glasgow but I’m not sure. Edit: by any chance was it organised by the fire service? by thebroadisbored (Sat 20th Feb 2021 11:35pm)
  • It could be that. This was like a building that had a set up of different scenarios. I really want to find out where this was again, it was good times by thebroadisbored (Sun 21st Feb 2021 1:28am)
  • That’s it. I thought it was in the east side! by thebroadisbored (Sun 21st Feb 2021 11:37am)
  • I remember! by thebroadisbored (Sun 21st Feb 2021 11:37am)
  • I thought we were going to have to wait until late April or have I missed a chunk of the news? by thebroadisbored (Fri 26th Feb 2021 8:57pm)
  • God I hope so. I can’t take 2 more months of this type of lockdown by thebroadisbored (Fri 26th Feb 2021 10:55pm)
  • Didn’t you not get an answer several months ago? by thebroadisbored (Fri 26th Feb 2021 11:01pm)
  • Because it’s irritating and part of rules within sub to do a search first on where to live. You’ll find your original question previously by thebroadisbored (Sat 27th Feb 2021 1:05am)
  • 👍 by thebroadisbored (Sat 27th Feb 2021 8:56am)
  • It’s a quality show that but shame it got cancelled by thebroadisbored (Sat 27th Feb 2021 11:26am)
  • This has to be taken more seriously and a potential protest makes sense. The litter here is ridiculous, how can we be proud of our city to other nations when it’s a rubbish tip by thebroadisbored (Sun 28th Feb 2021 1:33pm)
  • The whole thing is a mess. The retail park in drumchapel with the McDonald’s and kfc is probably the worst I’ve seen so far by thebroadisbored (Sun 28th Feb 2021 6:58pm)
  • Mate it’s an autocorrect mistake. Chill by thebroadisbored (Sun 28th Feb 2021 8:27pm)
  • I don’t even know what she’s thinking. Place would just go into ruin by thebroadisbored (Tue 2nd Mar 2021 5:43pm)
  • We need some hope. Be pissed if England are out before us and we’re still stuck in our houses by summer by thebroadisbored (Tue 2nd Mar 2021 5:46pm)
  • Aye crow road and the expressway were manic yesterday by thebroadisbored (Thu 4th Mar 2021 11:34am)
  • Wasn’t there another Scottish Government advisor saying we should get use to harsh lockdowns in future, by going into a full lockdown if one person is infected like in NZ? Would listen to some of them as the news have a bad habit as reporting opinions as proper news by thebroadisbored (Fri 5th Mar 2021 7:06pm)
  • Been flying around for the past 2 and a half hours. Must be a training exercise by thebroadisbored (Fri 5th Mar 2021 10:29pm)
  • I’m sure a lot of these scientists have said zero covid is near impossible with covid being with us forever, just like normal flu. by thebroadisbored (Fri 5th Mar 2021 11:23pm)
  • I feel socially stunted as well. When I do have a conversation with someone outside I can barely get my words out and ramble shit by thebroadisbored (Sat 6th Mar 2021 10:38am)
  • Just call the police. If it’s screams like that coming from a a place with a couple in it, the police will be right there by thebroadisbored (Sat 6th Mar 2021 12:32pm)
  • Fucking brilliant by thebroadisbored (Sat 6th Mar 2021 8:45pm)
  • True. They’re completely outnumbered. All they can do is contain it. by thebroadisbored (Sun 7th Mar 2021 6:29pm)
  • Honesty don’t even know why you’re getting downvoted for this because you’re right by thebroadisbored (Sun 7th Mar 2021 6:30pm)
  • I know police are understaffed. They get criticised for what they’re doing now which is try to contain it but if a small group of police compared to thousands of police try to take strong action, either they would turn on the police or people would accuse the police of being brutal. They honestly couldn’t win in that situation by thebroadisbored (Mon 8th Mar 2021 8:13am)
  • This belongs on r/urbanhell by thebroadisbored (Mon 8th Mar 2021 5:49pm)

  • That always fascinated me. Love Fossil Grove. by thebroadisbored (Sat 20th Mar 2021 12:29am)
  • Don’t know if the council are already considering it however a system they use in Germany, I think it’s called Pfand, where people get money back from their recycling. Either that or actually pay folk to litter pick. Each bag or rubbish from an area gets a payment, like the way cash for clothes scheme is. Payment by weight. We’ve had litter campaigns for years and people won’t care if someone else is clearing up their mess so money may sway people. by thebroadisbored (Sat 20th Mar 2021 9:04am)
  • Brilliant thank you, I’ll have a read ☺️ by thebroadisbored (Sat 20th Mar 2021 10:38am)
  • Or have a license to use them as some dickheads just through them around by thebroadisbored (Sun 21st Mar 2021 7:58pm)
  • I know it sounds a reach but have you tried looking into a flat share for the time being? I don’t know if they’re still accepting it but if you look at places like spare room, you could get a place with someone, bills included for around 400-500 a month. Could be an option short term until you can clear debt and then be in a position to find something on your own. Hope everything goes well and you get something sorted soon by thebroadisbored (Sun 21st Mar 2021 11:57pm)
  • Are you a fucking idiot? Obviously send any potential evidence to the police to analyse and confirm and not post videos on Reddit which you don’t even know for definite if it’s the actual guys on it. You could easily out someone that didn’t do it by thebroadisbored (Tue 23rd Mar 2021 8:38pm)
  • Well don’t be a fucking idiot and do something potentially damaging to an innocent person who could be wrongly accused. Think before you post by thebroadisbored (Tue 23rd Mar 2021 8:58pm)
  • Read the replies to your comment. Your downvoted comment is an extremely stupid thing to do. Learn from it by thebroadisbored (Tue 23rd Mar 2021 9:07pm)
  • Grow the fuck up by thebroadisbored (Tue 23rd Mar 2021 9:49pm)
  • Aw I see. Missed that by thebroadisbored (Sat 27th Mar 2021 7:33pm)
  • Jeez what were the shouting for that length of time? Some people are just so self absorbed they don’t realise that they’re being an annoyance! by thebroadisbored (Sun 28th Mar 2021 10:26am)
  • Aw fuck that. That’s on par with people who speak to someone on their phone, on speakerphone, outside or in a shop. They have to shout loud so they other person can hear them by thebroadisbored (Sun 28th Mar 2021 10:49am)
  • We thought that. They say the back windows are can open (they’re broke also and glass panels are all cracked) so that sufficient and I lost it. Trying to take it further by thebroadisbored (Wed 31st Mar 2021 1:13pm)
  • Thank you! by thebroadisbored (Wed 31st Mar 2021 1:12pm)
  • Fuck I wish I knew that before I rented through them by thebroadisbored (Wed 31st Mar 2021 1:32pm)
  • They’re talking out their arse. Rented loads of times and can’t believe they’re telling us this shit by thebroadisbored (Wed 31st Mar 2021 1:38pm)
  • That’s what I said! I said on the phone that I was looking into a flat across the road with the same windows and they were open, on the ground floor by thebroadisbored (Wed 31st Mar 2021 1:35pm)
  • Sounds so shit. We’ve forked out a couple of grand on this let and never told us about the sealed windows. Removal men go in tomorrow to drop out stuff of. I’m honestly so livid at this that I want to find somewhere else ASAP by thebroadisbored (Wed 31st Mar 2021 1:41pm)
  • They’re not on it... by thebroadisbored (Wed 31st Mar 2021 4:25pm)
  • I recommend them also! Used them a few days ago and they were brilliant. by thebroadisbored (Sun 4th Apr 2021 8:27am)
  • Looks like some pilot is bored by thebroadisbored (Mon 5th Apr 2021 7:44pm)
  • How long does 3 hours charging last you driving around? by thebroadisbored (Wed 7th Apr 2021 3:08pm)
  • That’s not a lot tbh. It’s because I was looking into them, thank you! by thebroadisbored (Wed 7th Apr 2021 8:51pm)
  • That’s what worries me if I was driving long distance (obv post covid) and I run out of charge in a rural area. You get a back up charger don’t you? by thebroadisbored (Wed 7th Apr 2021 9:42pm)
  • Sorry to hear that. Nothing worse when you invest in something that doesn’t work out. Hopefully you find something else! by thebroadisbored (Wed 7th Apr 2021 10:23pm)
  • Please adopt! SSPCA shelter in either cardonald or Milton (Dumbarton). by thebroadisbored (Wed 14th Apr 2021 9:26pm)
  • Honestly might be cheaper to rent a small storage unit and use it as much as you want. I use to pay £100 a month to hold my belongings in between moving. by thebroadisbored (Sat 17th Apr 2021 7:36pm)
  • Hmm you might be best either doing it at home or paying a cheap gym membership by thebroadisbored (Sat 17th Apr 2021 7:44pm)
  • Some woman randomly threw about 10 huge balloons in Naseby Park yesterday. Walked past this morning and the burst balloons are over the grass and shrubs. Nice. by thebroadisbored (Mon 19th Apr 2021 10:11am)
  • Love it! by thebroadisbored (Sat 24th Apr 2021 7:54pm)
  • Every garden has a line with washing out and people in the back apart from ours. We bought one and now he’s kicking off. Now I think there’s a reason to it by thebroadisbored (Sat 24th Apr 2021 7:54pm)
  • Honestly man I’ve heard about grumpy old people like this but never came across it by thebroadisbored (Sat 24th Apr 2021 8:34pm)
  • Thank you, will do! by thebroadisbored (Sat 24th Apr 2021 9:39pm)
  • That’s what I thought. He’s just being awkward for no reason. Stuck in his ways and thinks that part belongs to him! by thebroadisbored (Sat 24th Apr 2021 9:41pm)
  • I’ll go though my landlord. When we moved into the flat, there’s a huge washing pole left for us. I think he’s just the local curtain twitcher because I’ve caught him peeking through the curtains at my partner and I several times now by thebroadisbored (Sat 24th Apr 2021 9:45pm)
  • Haha I’ve moved my line to where there’s more sun! Right on “his patch” by thebroadisbored (Sat 24th Apr 2021 10:47pm)
  • I thought that. I think he was trying mark his bit but fuck him, got bedding going out tomorrow and he can move else where by thebroadisbored (Sat 24th Apr 2021 10:46pm)
  • I know. It’s fucking mental by thebroadisbored (Sun 25th Apr 2021 12:03am)
  • Yeah I’ll be nice but firm about it. I’ll just say this section of the garden is where the washing poles are fixed and fixed for a reason. It’s not going to block the sun and he can speak to his factor if he has a problem by thebroadisbored (Sun 25th Apr 2021 9:17am)
  • Yeah I don’t think he’s all there but I’m not going to stop putting my washing out on a nice day because one person wants to sit in the garden. I’ll be getting a deckchair for the back in the nice weather as well by thebroadisbored (Sun 25th Apr 2021 9:15am)
  • There’s big washing poles fixed into the ground. Our landlord said we could use them as it’s a shared garden. It’s not even blocking the sun, it’s in a different section. Regardless, he was unbelievably rude and practically demanded my partner to move it. That pisses me off more, if he was civil about it I’d understand but from what I’ve gathered off other neighbours and him so far, he doesn’t seem the nicest of people by thebroadisbored (Sun 25th Apr 2021 10:09am)
  • They are. Honestly though, there’s a section just for washing and a large space with loads of sun that the washing doesn’t even block. He just doesn’t want to share. I pay my rent and the includes sharing the garden and unless I get told otherwise, I’m not caving to an old man by thebroadisbored (Sun 25th Apr 2021 10:26am)
  • So petty! It’s one of the downsides but we’re here until we can eventually save up for a house deposit by thebroadisbored (Sun 25th Apr 2021 2:07pm)
  • Couldn’t sleep last night so was trying to think of awful car parks I’ve been to. The car park above Waitrose on Byres road. Has to be up there. by thebroadisbored (Tue 11th May 2021 8:33am)
  • Why do they make them so narrow! by thebroadisbored (Tue 11th May 2021 8:43am)
  • They are but I just don’t get the Waitrose one. You drive up it and you have to either reverse or three point turn to get down to the lower level by thebroadisbored (Tue 11th May 2021 10:53am)
  • That’s stuff of nightmares! by thebroadisbored (Tue 11th May 2021 6:26pm)
  • I’d probably have a meltdown in that situation. No wonder you won’t go back! by thebroadisbored (Tue 11th May 2021 9:06pm)
  • Is their business related to letting agencies? by thebroadisbored (Wed 12th May 2021 8:39am)
  • I get you now! by thebroadisbored (Wed 12th May 2021 10:33am)
  • Anyone know anything about the netherton area of G13? Always see flats up for rent there and I don’t know if it’s because it’s not a great area or there is just a lot of flats. Any ideas? by thebroadisbored (Sun 16th May 2021 11:06am)
  • Nah it’s the new build flats. Some are called strathblane gardens? They look nice and are a decent price but just a lot for rent so not sure by thebroadisbored (Sun 16th May 2021 11:28am)
  • Perfect thank you for that! by thebroadisbored (Sun 16th May 2021 1:15pm)
  • I can agree to that. With a well known, established letting agent that failed to inform me that windows are sealed shut, single glazed (when advertised as double) condensation problem and broken windows before moving in. Fucking hate renting. by thebroadisbored (Mon 17th May 2021 10:35pm)
  • Wth is with rent in this city. Viewed a flat yesterday which was cramped as hell, a crawl space to get to the study downstairs and a cellar attached which was literally a pile of dirt. 850 a month. Needs to be rent control in this city. by thebroadisbored (Fri 21st May 2021 7:15am)
  • Honestly you should of seen it. It was a cupboard door that led to an uneven pile of dirt in the cellar. I wish I could just buy a place but no money by thebroadisbored (Fri 21st May 2021 11:09am)
  • That’s exactly what it’s like!! by thebroadisbored (Fri 21st May 2021 12:07pm)
  • I feel for hospitality workers right now. Getting absolutely fucked around by SG. by thebroadisbored (Fri 21st May 2021 4:53pm)
  • You could call 101 and have the police go and speak to them about the noise. by thebroadisbored (Sun 23rd May 2021 4:23pm)
  • Don’t know why you’re getting downvoted but you’re right. Same with cyclists who cycle right behind you on the pavement and ring the bell. Just go round me on the road! by thebroadisbored (Tue 25th May 2021 8:44am)
  • You’re right. Times I’ve ran, I’ve given people plenty space on the pavement by thebroadisbored (Tue 25th May 2021 8:52am)
  • You might be best to buy some ready meals and freeze them then cook from frozen. Handy and cheaper by thebroadisbored (Wed 2nd Jun 2021 8:37pm)
  • Yeah, M&S ones are good or even morrisons. by thebroadisbored (Wed 2nd Jun 2021 10:10pm)
  • Man With Van Glasgow (based in Gartcosh) are really good. Using them twice now, fairy priced and they have brilliant reviews. by thebroadisbored (Sun 6th Jun 2021 9:55am)
  • Rent prices are definitely going up. There has to be some cap on this. I pay close to £900 a month for a flat that has condensation and damp problems, single glazing with windows sealed shut. Luckily I’m moving soon but it was the only thing I could get unfurnished at the time due to my old situation. Fucking cons by thebroadisbored (Mon 7th Jun 2021 2:46pm)
  • You’re spot on. Grew up in the west of Glasgow and the rising house prices both rent and bought is kinda pushing me out of it. by thebroadisbored (Mon 7th Jun 2021 8:40pm)
  • It’s open by thebroadisbored (Wed 9th Jun 2021 12:11pm)
  • I feel like their website is a parody by thebroadisbored (Fri 11th Jun 2021 7:19pm)
  • Tbh I don’t think it’s just Scottish NHS, it’s the NHS in general. Even England and Wales. Free for all health services is vital. Glad it got seen quick by thebroadisbored (Sun 13th Jun 2021 10:47am)
  • Exactly. You could get a detached, front and back garden in certain areas just outside Glasgow. Even a semi detached by thebroadisbored (Fri 25th Jun 2021 11:10pm)
  • You’re right. I’m sure there’s organisations that foster dogs until they find a loving home by thebroadisbored (Mon 28th Jun 2021 4:04pm)
  • Clyde by any chance? by thebroadisbored (Tue 29th Jun 2021 4:44pm)
  • Ah right. I hope this gets sorted for you. There’s definitely negligence there. Citizens advice can give some legal advice on that by thebroadisbored (Tue 29th Jun 2021 7:29pm)
  • God yes. Can’t breathe, can’t even wear my contacts. Been like this for a while but waking up this morning felt suffocating by thebroadisbored (Tue 29th Jun 2021 7:30pm)
  • There’s a lot of bams round that area but not sure that’s got to with Tory cuts. It’s police Scotland, funded by Scottish government, not down south. Maybe put a report into the police and they can follow up, probably same crowd will be kicking around that area again by thebroadisbored (Wed 30th Jun 2021 12:28am)
  • You’re right. It’s tiring and a massive cop out. by thebroadisbored (Wed 30th Jun 2021 11:25pm)
  • Half the shops at the retail park in drumchapel were flooded so had to close by thebroadisbored (Sun 4th Jul 2021 11:34pm)
  • I think it’s called The Glasgow Vintage Company on GWR, next door to roots and fruits. I found that one reasonably priced for west end by thebroadisbored (Sun 11th Jul 2021 11:43am)
  • Was it aladdins cave? by thebroadisbored (Sun 11th Jul 2021 11:41am)
  • It was a good shop that by thebroadisbored (Sun 11th Jul 2021 11:47am)
  • I think it’s the oriental supermarket now. by thebroadisbored (Sun 11th Jul 2021 11:51am)
  • Had to look this place up. It was called handbags and gladrags. by thebroadisbored (Sun 11th Jul 2021 11:56am)
  • Thanks for the tip! We’ll do that. Just had a nightmare with them from the start to not declaring faults before we moved in and mislead us on the flat. by thebroadisbored (Mon 12th Jul 2021 3:44pm)
  • I’ll do that. I moved in and there was food mess still in the fridge and grill but I didn’t think at the time about it with other stress going on so now, I just want my deposit back and end it! by thebroadisbored (Mon 12th Jul 2021 3:46pm)
  • £150 for gardening (literally just some weeds) and unsure of cleaning but they’re trying to pull us up for stuff that was already there. It’s so stressful. I just want my deposit back to pay off my current one. The flat wasn’t even fit for standard when we moved in. It’s a joke by thebroadisbored (Mon 12th Jul 2021 7:07pm)
  • Did you get any luck when you disputed them? I feel so worn down by them now by thebroadisbored (Mon 12th Jul 2021 9:53pm)
  • They sound awful, did you manage to dispute it? by thebroadisbored (Mon 12th Jul 2021 9:52pm)
  • Shit man, that’s rubbish. I think with this property we didn’t stay long (2 months) so I think they’re trying to get any money out of us because they know they won’t get anyone in soon by thebroadisbored (Mon 12th Jul 2021 11:02pm)
  • I’ve noticed that with the cleaning fees. I’ve read reviews and other people’s experience that they like to charge around £180. We’re disputing it all the way. The place wasn’t clean when we went in so what the hell are they using my money for. They seem like bastards by thebroadisbored (Tue 13th Jul 2021 6:52pm)
  • I second that, it’s a good garage by thebroadisbored (Wed 14th Jul 2021 8:36am)
  • Probably IKEA is your best bet. Look at the reviews for some of them (some are uncomfortable), they’re around £400 a sofa! Plus you can get delivery in a few days for £40. by thebroadisbored (Fri 16th Jul 2021 7:55am)
  • That’s for sofa beds though, not a sofa by thebroadisbored (Fri 16th Jul 2021 8:06am)
  • Because they have to jump to tap the messy persons shoulder by thebroadisbored (Fri 16th Jul 2021 9:11am)
  • I see! That’s gutting by thebroadisbored (Fri 16th Jul 2021 9:09am)
  • Get earplugs at night. It’s mating season so nothing you can do by thebroadisbored (Mon 19th Jul 2021 8:28am)

  • Perfect!! Thanks ☺️ by thebroadisbored (Mon 19th Jul 2021 9:54am)
  • Oooo I’ll have a gander thanks! by thebroadisbored (Mon 19th Jul 2021 9:55am)
  • I’m next to them in Partick and didn’t even think of them! by thebroadisbored (Mon 19th Jul 2021 10:49am)
  • You know I’ve never been down that part of Glasgow so I should venture out a bit! by thebroadisbored (Mon 19th Jul 2021 10:49am)
  • I’ll look her up! ☺️ by thebroadisbored (Mon 19th Jul 2021 10:48am)
  • They’re good shouts! I didn’t even think of Locavore by thebroadisbored (Mon 19th Jul 2021 10:48am)
  • Perfect, I’ll try there ☺️ by thebroadisbored (Mon 19th Jul 2021 10:49am)
  • Mayze is the big one standing out. I’m in west end so I’d like to just walk down one weekend and pick up some by thebroadisbored (Mon 19th Jul 2021 12:46pm)
  • I’ve never been to the south side so I’ll venture there! by thebroadisbored (Mon 19th Jul 2021 1:43pm)

  • That passion fruit and mango thing sounds right up my street! I’ll check it out thanks☺️ by thebroadisbored (Tue 20th Jul 2021 10:19pm)
  • Just realised how badly my flat is soundproofed today. Can hear my neighbours toddler below me belt around the room and slam his toys at 7am. by thebroadisbored (Wed 21st Jul 2021 7:59am)
  • Yup. Is this common? It’s my first tenement. by thebroadisbored (Wed 21st Jul 2021 4:25pm)
  • West end studio do pregnancy massages. by thebroadisbored (Wed 21st Jul 2021 9:13pm)
  • Yeah it is. Not thick though by thebroadisbored (Thu 22nd Jul 2021 7:43pm)
  • Yeah I wear them every night. Luckily I rent, sack buying one of these for the long run by thebroadisbored (Thu 22nd Jul 2021 8:06pm)
  • Aw man it’s terrible. I’m okay for now but long term, I wouldn’t invest in them. The price they go for is ridiculous, you can get a front and back garden for that but I’ve noticed in Glasgow, renting a house is hard to come by, it’s mainly flats by thebroadisbored (Thu 22nd Jul 2021 8:17pm)
  • Same. My circumstances required me to leave home early but I want to stick at this place for a couple of years then move by thebroadisbored (Thu 22nd Jul 2021 9:53pm)
  • I feel for you folk on the top floor! by thebroadisbored (Sat 24th Jul 2021 9:21am)
  • That does my box in! Despise people like that by thebroadisbored (Wed 28th Jul 2021 11:09am)
  • Wish I was you. All I hear is the kid running about downstairs screaming, through the wall have what sounds like children’s parties all the time and my elderly neighbours are deaf so their tv is blaring by thebroadisbored (Tue 3rd Aug 2021 1:23pm)
  • Tell me about it, rent in Glasgow has soared and trying to find something decent is either difficult or expensive. I’m unsure if this is due to demand or the fact house prices has skyrocketed but try places such as west Dunbartonshire, Stirling way. I think it’s a half hour drive away but it’s cheaper than here by thebroadisbored (Mon 16th Aug 2021 12:19pm)
  • Yeah it’s true. Something will come up. It depends on your budget it. Do you have a rough estimate? by thebroadisbored (Mon 16th Aug 2021 3:04pm)
  • There’s people on this with low wages and are looking for places around 600 a month. You’re budget is above average and you’ll find plenty by thebroadisbored (Tue 17th Aug 2021 11:33am)
  • That’s a pretty decent budget tbh. You could easily get a flat with parking for that price. I’ve been looking at Rightmove for that price already and there’s one in Netherton in G13 that’s around 775 a month with parking by thebroadisbored (Tue 17th Aug 2021 11:31am)
  • Yeah it is hard. Just keep going at it, it took us a while but I don’t think any rental will be 100% great. It’s a shame by thebroadisbored (Tue 17th Aug 2021 12:32pm)
  • I think there has to be a pinned post at the top of this sub regarding flat queries. I don’t think people look at rules by thebroadisbored (Wed 18th Aug 2021 11:04pm)
  • I think there should be. As you said it’s nearly every day and I’ve seen some where it’s multiple times a day. I get people need some advice but jeez how many times does it need to get asked by thebroadisbored (Wed 18th Aug 2021 11:14pm)
  • It’s like they don’t see all the 30 signs dotted down the tunnel by thebroadisbored (Thu 19th Aug 2021 8:06am)

  • Ahh didn’t think of that by thebroadisbored (Tue 31st Aug 2021 2:59pm)
  • Would it travel as far as west end? Don’t know where they’re playing but I’ve been hearing music playing all night which is unusual in my area! by thebroadisbored (Thu 9th Sep 2021 11:10pm)

  • Defo bought by many!! They cover pre existing health conditions and paid for my dogs full cremation and vet fees when he passed by thebroadisbored (Fri 17th Sep 2021 9:08pm)
  • Thank you! I don’t blame you. Honestly I’d go with them. Our dog had so many health conditions and treatments in the last few months he passed so instead of us going by the contract of paying a certain amount for his “putting to sleep” fees and cremation, they agreed to pay the whole thing as we spent over £1500 in those months. They’re amazing by thebroadisbored (Fri 17th Sep 2021 9:19pm)
  • Depends where in town by thebroadisbored (Fri 24th Sep 2021 5:28pm)

  • Isn’t that in giffnock? We heard trnsmt as it’s a bit closer but the music started suddenly around half an hour ago Edit: we heard nothing yesterday so unsure if it’s the festival by thebroadisbored (Sun 26th Sep 2021 10:03pm)
  • It doesn’t sound like a party though, more like someone has plugged their guitar into a speaker and is just belting it out by thebroadisbored (Sun 26th Sep 2021 10:02pm)
  • Could be him. It started all of a sudden not that long ago by thebroadisbored (Sun 26th Sep 2021 10:14pm)
  • I’m starting to think it is that Playground Festival. Someone on here said Nile Rodgers is playing just now and sounds like his music by thebroadisbored (Sun 26th Sep 2021 10:40pm)
  • I do think it’s that, same music as Nile Rodgers and some people on here have heard the same by thebroadisbored (Sun 26th Sep 2021 11:41pm)

  • Broomhill Practice by any chance?? by thebroadisbored (Tue 23rd Nov 2021 7:53pm)
  • They do checks on your flat every 2 month and we’re pretty invasive. Never responded to emails, flat had many faults such a rot, mould, condensation and not to mention, they failed to tell us all the front windows, including the bathroom window was sealed shut and the landlord refused to get them opened. Sage to say, left that flat as soon as we moved in by thebroadisbored (Sat 4th Dec 2021 8:48am)
  • If you know the address, you can search if it’s on the landlord register online. If they rent, it will show the name of the landlord then you can contact them to complain. Hope you get it sorted as there’s nothing worse than noisy neighbours! by thebroadisbored (Sun 12th Dec 2021 11:24am)
  • I can hear my neighbours walking and running below me. Upstairs is the same. Downfall to living in a flat! by thebroadisbored (Thu 16th Dec 2021 8:03pm)

  • Still can’t get over how much of a state the rental market is right now. I knew it was bad but trying to even get on a cancellation list for a sub par place takes the piss by thebroadisbored (Thu 25th Aug 2022 12:28pm)
  • Yeah I’m hopeful it will pass come mid September but it’s pretty grim tbh by thebroadisbored (Thu 25th Aug 2022 11:23pm)

  • It’s too late for a freeze, rent has increased to high already. They need a proper rent control and have properties reduced to what they’re actually worth by thebroadisbored (Tue 6th Sep 2022 2:34pm)
  • Look outside of Glasgow. It really is that bad but if you can find something say, 30 minutes commute from Glasgow, you’ll find it easier by thebroadisbored (Sat 10th Sep 2022 9:18pm)

  • If there’s a young man on this sub who yesterday, took me to the owners house of a cat we found passed away on Danes Drive, thank you so much for that. Didn’t have a chance to say yesterday as I was too upset but thank you for making sure the wee cat was reunited with its owner. by thebroadisbored (Sat 8th Oct 2022 10:01am)
  • Thank you. Luckily he came out and recognised it as his neighbours cat, I was about to take the cat up to vet to see if it had a microchip. Poor wee thing. by thebroadisbored (Sat 8th Oct 2022 12:45pm)
