  • I, for one, would love nothing more than some designated cycle lanes there, rather than the current Wild West style arrangement we currently have! by theshadypineapple (Mon 7th Oct 2019 7:39pm)
  • Do they aye? Try walking along the road on Sauchiehall St in front of a few angry taxis and see how well that goes. by theshadypineapple (Mon 7th Oct 2019 11:10pm)
  • The rain is being straight-up mad this week; downpour for forty minutes, sunshine for an hour, rinse and repeat. by theshadypineapple (Fri 11th Oct 2019 10:49pm)

  • Hey, only just came upon this thread, which episode of BU was that? by theshadypineapple (Mon 3rd Feb 2020 7:51pm)
  • I know a few cunts that would burn through a roll in a few days purely because they stuff a pillow's worth up there and don't understand the concept of folding by theshadypineapple (Mon 9th Mar 2020 4:43pm)
  • The only context we'll ever see him get called "pure". by theshadypineapple (Sun 15th Mar 2020 1:28pm)

  • To think that the SECC was a harbour at one point... by theshadypineapple (Tue 30th Jun 2020 3:20pm)
  • Yeaah, I would probably carry proof if it affected me (like, just a doctor's note or something), don't want to risk getting knocked back by the supermarkets who want to be careful. by theshadypineapple (Fri 10th Jul 2020 9:57pm)
  • Thing is, some people thought wearing one before was pointless since most others weren't doing it (tragedy of the commons, I think they call it). by theshadypineapple (Fri 10th Jul 2020 10:08pm)
  • One place told me they cannot legally take walk-ins, not sure if he was telling the truth but anyway it's probably best to book ahead by theshadypineapple (Sat 11th Jul 2020 12:11pm)
  • The City Centre was feeling like the Med last night, though I was just cycling around so didn't get the full picture. AFAIK, though: Brew Dog Merchant City: decent, surprisingly not too busy Coiba's: might not strictly be a beer garden, but everyone seemed nicely spaced out. Buck's Bar (Argyle Street): borderline. If the thing of not needing to distance as much if your back to them is true, then it's not so bad. The Gallery (round the back): cheeky bastards. Bunch of people packed onto a small balcony, that only people who live in the flats would see - probably not police then. All this being said, avoid the centre on a sunny day if you have concerns, today for example would probably be OK. by theshadypineapple (Sat 11th Jul 2020 12:09pm)
  • Hopefully, though outdoor heaters can get straight to fuck with how much electricity they waste by theshadypineapple (Sat 11th Jul 2020 12:46pm)
  • Aye, the tree museum is interesting enough when it's open (sadly it rarely was even in the days before covid). by theshadypineapple (Sun 26th Jul 2020 11:04pm)
  • I also applied back in March, then found that thread on this sub. They're probably luring even more poor sods in now with the unemployment, so it's worth rementioning them every now and then. Hey Omada, if one of your accounts is reading this; what did you think downvoting a post that had already gotten to hot would accomplish? by theshadypineapple (Fri 14th Aug 2020 6:48pm)
  • Omada Corp is a scam and so's my wife! by theshadypineapple (Fri 14th Aug 2020 9:56pm)
  • Might depend on where you live; in the west end-city centre bubble, most places are. Mate of mine who lives in Dalmuir and another in Westerton says nobody really cares over there. by theshadypineapple (Sat 22nd Aug 2020 12:39am)
  • Was anybody else on Sauchiehall Street yesterday evening when the armed police showed up? Quite a dramatic few minutes by theshadypineapple (Sat 22nd Aug 2020 11:13am)
  • Since 2018, I think by theshadypineapple (Sat 22nd Aug 2020 11:55am)
  • The landlords are probably holding out for money from the council, even though they could pay out their own pockets (like that guy who owned the scaffolded building on Union Street, forget what it's called...) by theshadypineapple (Wed 26th Aug 2020 6:45pm)
  • Aye, that one. Guy's an absolute bell-end by theshadypineapple (Wed 26th Aug 2020 9:24pm)
  • Something needs to be done about Union Street as a whole, though, it's actually mad that it's round the corner from a 5 star hotel, taxi rank and a damn-near permanent police van. by theshadypineapple (Wed 26th Aug 2020 10:35pm)
  • Barburrito do it as well, asked their staff and they said it was so that they could "be" their own competition - so, basically astroturfing as some independent place (Death Valley Burrito is one of their names). by theshadypineapple (Sun 30th Aug 2020 9:44pm)
  • I've heard him described as a "failed Dicaprio clone". by theshadypineapple (Mon 31st Aug 2020 4:10pm)
  • Tbh I'm surprised he doesn't change his name at this point, it's practically known on this sub that whatever he's got a finger in is something dire by theshadypineapple (Mon 28th Sep 2020 2:56pm)
  • True true. Hopefully the threads on this sub make it to page one on Google by theshadypineapple (Mon 28th Sep 2020 10:00pm)
  • In that area one block can be perfectly fine and two down it can be proper dodgy, so make sure you've visited the flat first. If there's rubbish everywhere on the road, that's usually a tell-tale sign, though streets near the cycle-path tend to be the sketchiest. If your flat is not on one of those streets you should be fine to walk to them at night from the bus and train stations. by theshadypineapple (Mon 30th Nov 2020 5:42pm)
  • Oh hi Dad, didn't know you had Reddit! by theshadypineapple (Wed 16th Dec 2020 11:20am)
  • There are groups of neds cutting about town on mountain bikes all the time, some of them need no excuse to start being cunts. Little that can be done unfortunately, but avoiding the area causes more trouble than it solves. by theshadypineapple (Wed 2nd Jun 2021 10:16pm)
  • Au is an "o" sound, so I can't see why it would be suckyhall by theshadypineapple (Sat 14th Aug 2021 10:09pm)
  • Opposite perspective, I once worked for Ubereats for three months and McDonalds was the reason I quit - lot of places were both incompetent and rude towards drivers. Sad, though not surprising, to hear that's spilling over onto customers by theshadypineapple (Sun 17th Oct 2021 12:14pm)
  • A list of things, but ones which stood out were: -What you've mentioned, them forgetting to put stuff in, was sometimes brought up with me at the door (most customers understood it wasn't my job to check the bag, though every job has its karens) -Their system meant if I wasn't there when they called out my number (because I'd gone to the toilet or whatnot) I'd have no way of knowing it was ready - it didn't say on the screens that it was sitting around, so I'd be waiting around wondering for umpteen minutes if it was ready or not until I asked. In other places they'd leave the order in the open so that the driver could see the label and take it -Staff would sometimes forget to put the order through until I asked that second time, which would keep me waiting even longer -I rode a bike, which meant giving me drinks in unsealed cups with McDonalds' flimsy wee cardboard cup holders was a recipe for disaster. Did they care that I'd effectively have to cycle like I was balancing it on my head? Did they fuck. by theshadypineapple (Sun 17th Oct 2021 3:45pm)
  • Do you find these days that it's \~60% of order requests coming from McDonalds? by theshadypineapple (Sun 17th Oct 2021 5:36pm)
  • Once did Dalmuir to Partick with a mate. We weren't drunk, and we fancied a night walk. ...and, you know, we'd missed the last train. Also we were incredibly stingy. by theshadypineapple (Thu 28th Oct 2021 2:59pm)
  • Yeah, I doubt many Zimbabweans would react positively to seeing this by theshadypineapple (Tue 2nd Nov 2021 12:07am)
  • Aye, when you think about it they really don't have a leg to stand on. by theshadypineapple (Mon 29th Nov 2021 1:08pm)
  • Worst: [Omada Corp are pretty infamous on this sub.](https://www.reddit.com/r/glasgow/comments/i9l7oa/you_guys_just_saved_me_from_a_omada_corp_and/) by theshadypineapple (Tue 1st Feb 2022 6:43pm)

  • Well done Angus and OP, #Get your phone on a charger! by theshadypineapple (Fri 14th Apr 2023 11:17pm)
  • Unless he's claiming the council are good at fleecing people? by theshadypineapple (Fri 28th Jul 2023 2:05pm)
