  • You're on the floor above me lol by xValkyx (Fri 10th Jan 2020 12:11pm)
  • Holy shit, me and my pal bumped into her near St Enochs when I was going to get my bus. Just felt a tap on the shoulder and the voice and nearly shit myself when I turned around. by xValkyx (Sat 29th Feb 2020 6:55pm)
  • Oof I thought that might be the case. I can't do my work at home because I don't have the programs so this will be fun lol by xValkyx (Fri 13th Mar 2020 9:15pm)
  • I wonder what will happen if you don't have the resources at home to do work for your course. Does the course just stretch out further than it normally would (so into the summer holidays) or are you just fucked? by xValkyx (Fri 13th Mar 2020 9:27pm)
  • I though that as well which is why I was so surprised when he turned around and told us that. by xValkyx (Fri 13th Mar 2020 9:53pm)
  • Out of curiosity, what are you studying? I've been attending there for years and I think my course might be mostly online (which is shit for me lol). If you need any help with anything feel free to message me :) by xValkyx (Tue 8th Sep 2020 6:51pm)
  • Tbh I genuinely don't think lockdown is going to have much of a difference unless the schools are also closed. Everyone I know who has had Covid the past few months has gotten it from a younger sibling who got it from their friends at school and then came home and passed it onto their family members. I feel like in order to maximise the chances of ending this shit, they need to go all out on the lockdown otherwise it's practically pointless. by xValkyx (Thu 12th Nov 2020 1:38am)
  • Yeah. Plus both college and universities have been teaching online now, and other countries have been using that method for school as well and it's definitely helped in that regard. I find it unlikely that a kid isn't going to be able to use Zoom (unless they have no computer or a phone) but even in the rare instance that is the case, schools can't hold it against them anyway due to the circumstance and there's often an alternative in plan for that situation. Plus I doubt stopping school for a month is going to fuck up their future. Keeping it open is what's going to fuck up their futures when this virus keeps stretching on. by xValkyx (Thu 12th Nov 2020 3:24am)
  • They can do similar to what they've done for the college/unis though and the government can hand out free laptops to borrow for those who cannot afford their own. by xValkyx (Thu 12th Nov 2020 12:59pm)
  • What? you mean like "dude", "bro" or something like "hey man"? because a lot of younger women do get referred by masculine perceived nouns and hardly anyone is phased or even cares unless you're an older woman in her 40s+ by xValkyx (Tue 24th Aug 2021 2:30am)
  • Hi, I volunteer at the Magpie's Eye in Govan and we are always taking book donations! :) The Magpie's Nest is for other donations like ornaments, etc. But we specifically accept book donations! by xValkyx (Fri 10th Sep 2021 11:43am)
  • No worries! If you'd like to know anything about the organisation further down the line when you've got everything sorted, I'm happy to explain. by xValkyx (Fri 10th Sep 2021 2:33pm)
  • My apologies, I didn't think before using the term. I think it's because in my mind the term "junkie" is always associated with people with drug addiction who have similar mannerisms, ways of speaking and paint a very specific painting in regards to the ones you often see in Glasgow referred to as such. So I figured more people would get what I meant instead of saying "drug addict" as that can also mean (for example) people who just smoke weed, who don't often have that particular way of speech. Whereas with "junkie" people instantly know what you're referring to. I'll try to do better in the future. by xValkyx (Sat 5th Mar 2022 5:19pm)
  • I understand that now, and I assure you I meant no harm with my post. Thank you for going out of your way to further explain it to me, I think I might keep this post up since I like your comment and think it would be nice to have around as it offers insight on the other side. by xValkyx (Sat 5th Mar 2022 6:02pm)
