  • I heard they did take the "easy option", they appear to have kettled the peaceful half of the crowd. They should have been using that on Wednesday and last week on the ones who deserved it! by AyeOriteDa (Sat 20th Jun 2020 8:35pm)
  • Yeah and look at last Sunday, It's almost as if football hooligans that might have latched onto a cause could have been identified and restricted before they could run riot on Wednesday while all the actual peaceful protestors were left alone... by AyeOriteDa (Sat 20th Jun 2020 8:57pm)
  • I think me and the other commenter who used the word "proactively" in our responses to you, are slightly confused. For the benefit of newcomers, the word was edited out of the comment we are replying to. by AyeOriteDa (Sun 21st Jun 2020 2:04am)

  • They were being cheeky, never heard it as a term of endearment. Never in my life have I heard a guy called it, and it's usually mysoginistic types that refer to "females" in such a manner. by AyeOriteDa (Mon 23rd Aug 2021 7:43pm)

  • A quick Google has me questioning Sarwar's integrity? They are all shit really, I think that's why we keep voting in the party that offers independence. Responsibility closer to home I suppose would make us feel a bit better as everything crumbles around us (regardless who's in charge). by AyeOriteDa (Wed 10th Nov 2021 9:46pm)
  • There's the problem though, Labour have no chance down south, so winning here would be meaningless. I remember the optimism when we voted Blair in. SNP are a tool to be made redundant when the aim is met, then we can have our own Tory and Labour cunts made accountable closer to home, so I suppose I'm saying it doesn't really matter to me who's running the party. by AyeOriteDa (Wed 10th Nov 2021 10:03pm)

  • I've read your comments and you can shove them up your hoop you Tory cunt, is everybody struggling to get by in Easterhouse, Drumchapel, Govan and the like all going to bury themselves in debt and run an extension out their top floor flat window, fuck off! by AyeOriteDa (Mon 3rd Jan 2022 8:10pm)
  • Hey everybody, this guy ain't a Tory... "Nonsense. In my experience "lower class" people have a culture of getting into debt for new cars." "If these lower class people actually cared about proper budgeting, an EV would be a no brainer." by AyeOriteDa (Mon 3rd Jan 2022 9:07pm)
  • You really should stop responding, do you think your wee cushy bubble is what everyone else has? Have a read back of what you've written on this thread and please be suitably embarrassed. by AyeOriteDa (Mon 3rd Jan 2022 9:44pm)
  • u/PhallusyOfLogic says... >In my experience "**lower** class" people have a culture of getting into debt for new cars. > >If these **lower** class people actually cared about proper budgeting, an EV would be a no brainer. > >I'm embarrassed that **working** class people care more about dropping their weans off at school in an SUV than they do about the fact their wean has asthma. And also says "I am working class" Fuck off you Tory Scum! by AyeOriteDa (Mon 3rd Jan 2022 11:26pm)

  • For black hacks you pass a knowledge test, not as intense as London, but still takes a bit of doing. Glasgow taxi's used to run a taxi school down at their headquarters. For private hire all you need is a licence really. by AyeOriteDa (Wed 23rd Feb 2022 7:59pm)
  • You see these sort of property ones on the Evening times website too, they are owned by the same mob that own s1homes, so when it's quiet they just stick some random property up. Might be a similar type thing going on with them as well. by AyeOriteDa (Mon 28th Feb 2022 7:13pm)
  • I gave up trying to actually speak with someone and emailed, took ages to get back to me and it clearly states on the autoresponse "Due to the current situation with the COVID19 pandemic our normal processing times will not be met." • I take it you just want to see yourself go flying. No matter what, if you rear end somebody it's entirely your fault, there isn't any arguing about it. I'm a biker myself, you've got to look after number 1 out there, leave room and ride like every car is out to murder you, no point being in the right but also in hospital. by AyeOriteDa (Mon 21st Mar 2022 5:23pm)
  • I would say focus that in on anything you can, from wherever you can. I've seen loads of clear nights recently in the city where the heavens have been kind to us. As mentioned get an app on your phone, I use "Sky Map" on android. by AyeOriteDa (Thu 24th Mar 2022 12:15am)

  • Same happened to me, fluctuating earnings meant readjusted amount every month and it was hit or miss wether they took it out the bank. They hit me with 300 odd bill to clear the year. I emailed and asked what was going on and they said it was correct. I emailed again asking for breakdown of the year, suddenly they owed me about £160. If I hadn't kept at them they would have happily took the money off me. by AyeOriteDa (Sat 11th Jun 2022 1:40pm)

The little scamps offset the carbon output of the fumes by emptying the bin where it stood so I could still gather it all up by hand for recycling. • Oh, that might be charging issue then. You can usually pick up a charger in the middle aisles of Lidl/Aldi for 10, 15 quid. If you have a multimeter, when you eventually get it started you should see the voltage go above 12 when it's running. by AyeOriteDa (Sun 7th Aug 2022 12:50pm)

  • The black cabs aren't the cheapest, but they are sitting at ranks 24/7, a good few of them have the Glasgow taxis radio kit in them. If a scheduled job comes in the guy nearest the front of the nearest rank with a radio will get it, if he doesn't turn up he'll get blacklisted on radio jobs for a period. They are usually pretty reliable and you'll get the price when you book, though yeah, not the cheapest. by AyeOriteDa (Mon 26th Sep 2022 11:32pm)

  • You don't want to run an analogue screen in the current energy crisis. Buy a World band radio for 10 or 20 quid, it takes a couple of batteries and you can have some unclickable entertainment or even white noise if you choose. by AyeOriteDa (Fri 30th Sep 2022 1:19am)

  • If he was under the association flag you should report him to them (GTA, ha ha). I assume you have a note of his licence number, so contact them with the licence number and the time it happened whoever was on shift at that time will get the notice. If the "GTA" don't get reports of drivers under their flag being picky and they don't know? then they don't know. by AyeOriteDa (Tue 3rd Jan 2023 12:19am)

  • When my Aunty passed we had to clear out her place. The charity places obviously want to pick and choose what suits them, we offered out stuff like cooker and washing machine to family and freinds, but after that we went to her housing association and they cleared the rest for us, think it was supposed to be £150-200 for them but they waived it anyway. Sorry for your loss. by AyeOriteDa (Thu 12th Jan 2023 6:11pm)

  • If it's a bit of an unusual car, searching forums for them might get something back. I used to have an old shitbox Fiesta and it was rear ended at low speed. It was written off because the boot wouldn't unlock and too expensive to change locks. I think it was about £800 they gave me for it and I bought it back for £80, was a bargain. by AyeOriteDa (Thu 9th Feb 2023 7:31pm)
  • There's different categories, this was a Category C write off, I think it's only motor trade that need to do any paperwork with DVLA with them to sell on, private owners don't (might be wrong there). To fix it would've meant replacing all the locks and ignition at about £1500. So for a \~£800 banger the decision was nope, if I remember right they just sold it back to me at scrap value, I was still using it every day, so they hadn't incurred any costs. EDIT: By the way, did you have any joy with the key? by AyeOriteDa (Fri 10th Feb 2023 7:15pm)

There will be a few cars sitting in the "LEZ only" lane, everybody else will need to cram into one lane to avoid, I'm sure the tailbacks will be fun. There is absolutely no need for these as they don't seem to change anything about the junctions except force traffic trying to avoid LEZ into one lane!!! by AyeOriteDa (Sat 1st Apr 2023 11:20am)

  • There are two types of Black Taxi in Glasgow, ones with the yellow stickers that are members of the Taxi Association and privateer guys just running the ranks. Taxi Association members can be reported and they will be pulled up for refusing cards (the association provide the card readers), so take down their number and report them, take the next cab and stop whining. The true privateers on the ranks, can run with cash only, it's their business so they can decide how you pay, they have no obligation to provide card services. So if it's association taxi report them for refusing card, if it's a privateer walk away if you don't want to pay, in fact grab the polis and tell them you suspect he's an international drug dealer laundering hundreds of pennies a night to fund global terrorism, jeez the shit curtain twitchers come up with on here! by AyeOriteDa (Sun 30th Apr 2023 1:12pm)

  • The problem is the fine! Most other LEZ zones work on you pay if you enter? Pay as you enter let's the people who can't comply right now or in the near future still do business and pass the cost to the customer! Until the general market means compatible vehicles are affordable to all, this just punishes those on the borderline and below. A straight multiplying fine is stupid and there is still a fucking motorway through the city centre, within the LEZ zone!!! by AyeOriteDa (Sun 28th May 2023 2:00am)
