  • You should / could be on a 3 monthly injection called Nabido, it can be a bit uncomfortable getting the injection in the arse cheek but the stuff certainly works for me. As with other people request a referral to an endocrinologist. There is also a testosterone gel for daily (?) use however you can inadvertently transfer the gel to others so not recommended IMHO. by BenAigan (Sun 28th Mar 2021 5:36pm)

  • As the others have said, be honest. I have had mental health issues in the past, I told everyone and nobody was shocked, its not a secret. I was incredibly lucky to get the help I needed. I had to learn the signs of my own anxiety and put together my own recovery pack. My favourite sweets I had as a child, songs that reminded me of very happy times which helps me focus on the "now" and get outside of my thoughts. Walking and listening to the birds, listening to the river as I walk past, what can I smell? See? Hear? Touch? I also have favourite clothes and blankets that I can curl up into if needed. by BenAigan (Tue 24th May 2022 6:51am)

  • I have heard good things about Lennoxtown / Kirkintilloch / Lenzie areas, Lenzie has a train station and Kirkintilloch is a 10 min walk to the station. Lennoxtown is further out and has a half hourly bus X85 which is fairly decent but takes about 50 minutes. Personally I love Lennoxtown as it has the Campsie Fells which are beautiful to look at and change daily, its seems a world away from Glasgow, also has a b\*tch of a hill which is great fun to cycle up and down! by BenAigan (Tue 11th Oct 2022 6:43pm)
