  • My work! Really missing getting to go there every week :( by BigFatBazza (Sun 17th May 2020 2:36am)
  • Hahah no, the SEC by BigFatBazza (Sun 17th May 2020 2:25pm)
  • Yeh, I don’t see many legitimate reasons to be travelling from US to Scotland currently, especially when we’ve said “we don’t want you” by upholding the two week quarantine. by BigFatBazza (Wed 15th Jul 2020 12:53am)
  • Sucks you can’t get virgin. I’m paying £45 a month for 350mbps internet and never has any issues by BigFatBazza (Wed 15th Jul 2020 10:11am)
  • I can’t understand why people do this. My one way street is weird - halfway along becomes a different street. Living at the start of it in building 5, I always get food deliveries for building 5 in the second half of the street, and I can’t ever imagine taking someone else’s food like that. by BigFatBazza (Sun 27th Sep 2020 10:50pm)
  • In my experience I got a summer of lessons and then stopped for about 8 months. Started again with a different instructor and he was very upfront and said when I should book a test for as he said I’d be ready by then. Even a few weeks before I was still making a few wee mistakes, but he was bang on and I don’t think I’d have passed if I’d done it earlier. My girlfriend rushed into it imo, and booked her test because I’d done mine. Her instructor wasn’t as confident in the timing, and she didn’t pass. My point is, you’ve gotta trust your instructor. If he believes you’re not ready then maybe you’re not, and unless he’s been dodgy before I don’t see why he would be in it for the money now. You could still manage it, but is it worth spending the money on it if the two of you aren’t confident? I think you’re right to do a mock test and see where things stand before deciding. by BigFatBazza (Wed 30th Sep 2020 11:13pm)
  • I could try, however I live in Paisley so am in Renfrewshire council. The accident did happen within glasgow council borders however (silverburn) by BigFatBazza (Fri 30th Oct 2020 11:20am)
  • That's what my brother said at the time, however with everything that happened I forgot about that. Like you say though, the courts are pretty fucked atm hahah, but I may go for that. by BigFatBazza (Fri 30th Oct 2020 11:28am)
  • [Dashcam footage](https://www.dropbox.com/s/dw482lg0f5mjvi3/DashCam%20Footage.MOV?dl=0) by BigFatBazza (Fri 30th Oct 2020 11:26am)
  • thanks for the help, ill send them an email :) by BigFatBazza (Fri 30th Oct 2020 11:58am)
  • aww thats awful. How much were the damages to your car? I accepted at the time that I may not get my money back, and my dad helped me with some of the cost, so it's not the end of the world if I don't, however I think my case was pretty strong with dashcam and plenty of photos the night of and the morning after. by BigFatBazza (Fri 30th Oct 2020 12:15pm)
  • Can’t speak for this user, but I personally didn’t go through insurance as for me it was worth more keeping my insurance down and keeping my no claims bonus. I accepted at the time that I may not get the money back, but it’s still worth trying. by BigFatBazza (Fri 30th Oct 2020 5:54pm)
  • I my view it does matter. In the same way that going from a tier 3 to a tier 2 has the possibility of you being more at risk of spreading it, you still have that risk of spreading it going into any other tier 3 area. Not only that, but you’ll also be more at risk than you would be going to a lower tier. But obviously the exceptions apply, like childcare by BigFatBazza (Sun 1st Nov 2020 1:46pm)
  • I wouldn’t know how to compare seeing 20 people each day, whilst living in an area that has like 35 cases per 100,000, to seeing 3 people each day, while living in an area that has nearly 400 cases per 100,000. Obviously those numbers are just examples. I run the health and safety for a factory of about 10 people, and I would say that from what I’ve seen going shopping every week, we’re doing more to minimise risk that there is for customers in a shop, but it’s hard to minimise risk in an environment like that. My point is, just because you rarely go into public places doesn’t mean you’re going to be safer than someone at their work. It’s all about the spread in the area. I’m glad they’ve changed to local authority over health board for this reason, as it’s better to be more concise with restrictions than canvassing a whole area because of a small part of it. by BigFatBazza (Sun 1st Nov 2020 2:17pm)
  • Got a response today. The councillors contacted the claims department and got them to confirm they got my claim and are working on it, so cheers for the help by BigFatBazza (Wed 11th Nov 2020 12:56pm)
  • There was already a travel ban by BigFatBazza (Mon 4th Jan 2021 4:22pm)
  • And unless a hard border is implemented it’ll continue to happen by BigFatBazza (Mon 4th Jan 2021 5:28pm)
  • And now it’s sunny blue skies in Paisley too by BigFatBazza (Mon 8th Feb 2021 10:11am)
  • All doctors I’ve had it’s been managed over phone / in person - not online. Last year I wanted to change my address and was told it was not possible to do over the phone and had to go into the surgery to do. Two weeks later we were in the first lockdown and I phoned back up and they did it in 30 seconds. Don’t know why the system is so fucked hahah by BigFatBazza (Thu 13th May 2021 12:33am)
  • Yup cases will go up as stuff opens. So that’s why when Glasgow is getting borderline she’s letting everyone go hug each other 🙃 by BigFatBazza (Thu 13th May 2021 12:35am)
  • Last summer I had DMG roofing out to my tenement to fix missing / broken slates, and they replaced my old cast iron (I think) roof light with a new one at the same time. If you’re just wanting it replaced, I’d try them - they were very good. [Here’s some pics](https://1drv.ms/f/s!AkHgppy-9Mke-QL_1eBPLR60NaVD) by BigFatBazza (Tue 22nd Jun 2021 6:21pm)
  • No worries! Darren’s really nice and gave us a great price, hope you have a good experience if you do go with them 😊 by BigFatBazza (Tue 22nd Jun 2021 6:58pm)
  • Technically not. RVC, FSA, and Fold Hill Foods have not issued any kind of recall for the Wilko food, as they all say there’s no link like there is for the main 3. Wilko recalled their food by their own accord by BigFatBazza (Thu 24th Jun 2021 8:03pm)
  • Hahah I’m being pedantic. THE recall due to an actual link doesn’t include Wilko, that’s a different recall by BigFatBazza (Thu 24th Jun 2021 8:11pm)
  • I love when it’s dim and raining - I’d like to complain that it’s always sunny where I am by BigFatBazza (Tue 14th Sep 2021 7:30am)
  • No more quiet Sundays living next to the Glasgow to Edinburgh line 😭 by BigFatBazza (Thu 28th Oct 2021 10:10am)
  • I’m not saying that they shouldn’t be paid more, but they can’t afford to be giving them all that much more without it making everyone else worse off by BigFatBazza (Thu 19th May 2022 2:37pm)
  • I find it stupid that when Abellio was running scotrail into the ground, because it wasn’t making enough money, people were telling the gov to buy it. But now they’ve bought it and it’s still not making enough money, so they’re cutting services etc and they’re getting shit for it. Whilst we shouldn’t be decimating the train service, we also shouldn’t be burning money if it’s too stretched by BigFatBazza (Thu 19th May 2022 2:41pm)
  • Oh yeh hey defo should, especially with the energy crisis. But in the current state of play, they don’t have the money for it by BigFatBazza (Thu 19th May 2022 4:01pm)
  • Glad it’s sorted. For reference I’m in a 3 bed house and my last month was about £100 combined, but I live alone now and am conservative in what I use by BigFatBazza (Thu 19th May 2022 5:52pm)
  • I moved away from Paisley a year ago - I don’t remember cameras then. Where on the M8 are they? by BigFatBazza (Sat 28th May 2022 7:57am)
