  • I rent a space that i found on [Gumtree](https://www.gumtree.com/search?search_category=garage-parking-to-rent&q=parking+space&tq=&search_location=Glasgow), they do go fast but there's new spaces advertised regularly. found my old space and current one using that. if you see a space you like, contact them immediately and ask to view it. Some issues with access etc. not always visible on the advert. Good Luck by BurningVeal (Thu 2nd Jul 2020 1:15pm)
  • I have a heated clothes horse. money well spent, dries everything super quickly. also run a cheap dehumidifier in the room at the same time again, does the job perfectly. by BurningVeal (Wed 8th Jul 2020 9:14am)

  • Try bouldering. You can join the TCA and get access to both their climbing gyms in the city. It’s really good exercise and it helps with mental headspace as it is about physical problem solving. It’s also a great place to make friends as everyone is super friendly and you never feel judged, everyone just wants to help each other. I’d highly suggest it. by BurningVeal (Wed 19th May 2021 7:46pm)
  • I got the moderna vaccine on Monday, no side effects at all, buzzing for my next dose (still called in sick to work yesterday though, not easy to find a reason to pull a sickie when you work from home, but I had a great excuse thanks to the jag and the weather was phenomenal) by BurningVeal (Wed 2nd Jun 2021 8:37am)

  • I live in a block with around 120 flats, our bin collection was missed by 10 days this past month. The amount of rubbish that was piling up in the bin store are was unreal, you couldn’t even see the bins anymore when you opened the door, there was so much rubbish piled up. I can’t imagine what the city would look like if all the bins weren’t emptied for 12 days. These bin men literally work with shit all year round and are desperately required to maintain health standards for everyone. They should be treated and paid accordingly. by BurningVeal (Fri 15th Oct 2021 8:49am)
  • Awful news, I drove passed the scene on Saturday and wondered what had happened. Can’t imagine what the family is going through right now. Wonder why they took him to the Queen Elizabeth instead of the Infirmary 2mins up the road? by BurningVeal (Tue 19th Oct 2021 7:46pm)
  • Thanks, didn’t know that! by BurningVeal (Wed 20th Oct 2021 1:04pm)
  • the bins in our block didnt get picked up for two weeks, theres about 110 flats in the area that use the bin store so it got out of hand very quickly. I just tweeted a photo of it to the council complaining and then managed to get a collection sorted via DM. They said it would be another 7 days before its collected, i asked them where they think rubbish for the next 7 days is gonna go? It's a Health Hazard right now. It got it collected the next day. by BurningVeal (Wed 27th Oct 2021 8:58am)
  • As a local resident…… great. by BurningVeal (Sat 6th Nov 2021 4:39pm)
  • Selling our flat just now using Vanilla Square, really cant fault them so far. But it's been crazy since we listed it last week. Did 42 viewings this weekend, another 6 today and 4 more tomorrow. Should of just paid for the agent to show the place... by BurningVeal (Mon 8th Nov 2021 3:30pm)
  • You may give a better tour of the place and be able to answer more questions from buyers, but with the sheer number of people visiting it is really draining. Felt like ground hog day this weekend, saying the same thing and answering the same questions every 15mins all day. do not recommend it haha. Edit: Best of luck though by BurningVeal (Mon 8th Nov 2021 4:18pm)
  • You could tell the neighbour that he is on a specialist diet for X medical condition and while you are glad they are nice to the cat you’d appreciate it if they didn’t feed him. by BurningVeal (Tue 12th Apr 2022 7:20pm)
  • Can’t recommend climbing enough, physical problem solving that’s fun and one of the best ways to exercise. It’s so easy to strike up conversations with people while you work a route together etc. The Prop Store is close by and is amazing great atmosphere and nobody ever judges anyone. Please give it a go. by BurningVeal (Sat 7th May 2022 8:55am)
  • Last time this happened the street sweepers and bin men were out after the crowd dispersed to begin cleaning, took them all night. So I’d expect them to do this again after this. Still doesn’t make the behaviour any less cunty though by BurningVeal (Sun 15th May 2022 9:06am)
  • Right now I make 50k (30yr old) and my mrs makes 70k (30yr old), no kids and live well below our means as we want to save for retirement. Both want to be retired before 50. Neither of us worry about money, it’s an odd thing as I remember working full time making 12k when I was 18 and obsessing over where the money went. And that went on for a good number of years, would say only in the last 3 have we not really thought about money for day to day living. Only stress about retiring early which is also the 1st of 1st world problems I’m aware. by BurningVeal (Tue 11th Oct 2022 4:39pm)
  • I spoke to a taxi driver the other week, was taking me about 9miles (going drinking with mates, no Ubers would accept the ride), and told him I had been pied a few times by other Taxi’s before he said yes. He told me that their not allowed to refuse fares. Which if true means I’ve had dozens of drivers break the rules over the years. by BurningVeal (Fri 10th Mar 2023 8:23am)
  • Hey OP, it’s just a LEZ not an Ultra LEZ, double check your reg on the council website, even if car isn’t ULEZ it might meet the LEZ requirements. by BurningVeal (Sun 9th Jul 2023 12:28pm)
  • Wander about yourself. It’s great and it’s pretty obvious where you are allowed to go vs not. I.e. if doors are open you may enter. The ballroom up the stairs is unbelievable as well. by BurningVeal (Sat 22nd Jul 2023 7:48am)
