I can understand why a cafe with your "niche" would particularly struggle (ie limitations of number of visitors, social distancing and 1 household rules now) while others carry on as normal. • Dogs which are out of control shouldn't be off the lead so this can be a police matter. Its a criminal offence for your dog to act dangerously and especially off the lead. Chasing counts in this instance. Report it to 101 on this occasion and if it happens again, report it again. I had a similar thing happen in our back court. Didnt know the dog (funnily enough also a staffy) was out the back, opened the door and it pounced on our 6 month old puppy. We spoke to the neighbour the next day and they couldn't be nicer about it thankfully. by CovidCalypso (Wed 4th Nov 2020 5:55pm)
  • Literally exciting to 4 year olds & 16 year old scheme pricks only. I've come to the realisation that mostlry its only bams still setting them off these days. Adults who set them off are just big bams setting a bad example. There isn't a firework stall at my local Aldi this year so I'm pretty happy that its being phased out. • A neighbour of mine has left a rotting pumpkin, plus all its entrails in the back court - not in the bin. Similarly the council haven't emptied our wheelie bins in 2 weeks and the "report a missed bin collection" system on the council website is set up so badly that it forces customers to quit half way through the process. • It's ridiculous. Happens at my street every year at Xmas / New Year. I usually take mine to the tip when it's absolutely necessary, recycling I can take to my parents or grandparents as they usually don't fill their bins. They live in East Renfrewshire which is supposedly a scheduled bin day haven. My neighbours aren't quite as clever as that. I then attempt to claim back compensation on my council tax for all of two weeks, getting nowhere and then eventually giving up till the following year. by CovidCalypso (Sun 9th Jan 2022 10:17am)

  • It's not the shop that books you, non residents are self employed, they have no affiliation to the shop. If you do two sessions with a non-resident tattooist out of three and he moves to Newcastle before the third slot then you go to Newcastle for your third slot. The tattooist is shit for not telling them they was moving around in the first place. by CovidCalypso (Thu 13th Jan 2022 6:07pm)
  • Thats nuts! Never heard of a booking system like that for a tattoo shop. Their booking system seems to be the main issue... by CovidCalypso (Thu 13th Jan 2022 7:52pm)
  • Getting downvoted for explaining how it works... why are people expecting tattooists not to move because of one guys half completed sleeve... by CovidCalypso (Thu 13th Jan 2022 7:57pm)

  • To be fair all the local Facebook groups are similar. I left the Shawlands Community one cause the moderator girl shuts down absolutely anybody with an opinion that differs from hers even slightly. They also all worship this cat, like a mascot thing, it wins awards and I think it'll probably end up with a knighthood. I love the physical, real life community of where I live but the e-version is hell. by CovidCalypso (Fri 14th Jan 2022 11:31pm)

They've also already sent us 2 bills for the works carried out, which is zero work at all as far as we know. by CovidCalypso (Mon 17th Jan 2022 11:56pm)

  • See above comment by CovidCalypso (Tue 18th Jan 2022 10:22pm)
  • Possibly. My experience there: Booked in 1 year old puppy, first time at any daycare, for a half day session. They phoned me after 45 minutes saying thst she wasn't fitting in, wanted human attention and could I come collect her. Spoke to one of the girls when I picked up my pup they said she was nervous and doesn't think daycare is for her. I tried again the following week, they did the exact same thing. Phoned me literally minutes after I'd arrived at work from dropping her off saying to come get her. My theory is they are too busy to care about new dogs coming in or they primarily want lazy, slow dogs who require little human attention. I explained all this to one called Going Mutts in Blantyre. She's been going there 2 days a week since and she loves it. I would highly recommend them, know its not in Glasgow but its near to my work. by CovidCalypso (Tue 18th Jan 2022 10:22pm)

The following day I collected it in a hire van and took it to the tip, couldn't have been outside for more than 15 hours. 3 weeks later we got a letter from the factor saying someone in our close had reported us for leaving household waste in the common garden. by CovidCalypso (Mon 5th Sep 2022 9:01pm)
