  • There's a few big budget productions going on around the city. Princess Switch 3 is being filmed along with another few productions. by EmergencyAd4225 (Tue 8th Dec 2020 8:39pm)
  • Because I work in the industry. My company is hiring out the camera equipment to the Princess Switch. We are also hiring out to another big budget drama, but I don't know what that is as they aren't using its real name in all the production paperwork. by EmergencyAd4225 (Thu 10th Dec 2020 9:33am)
  • Although it could be another production I'm not aware of like the Tetris film. They would be bringing all the staff and equipment from London. Companies up here don't get a sniff of big budget films. by EmergencyAd4225 (Thu 10th Dec 2020 9:36am)
  • I work for Progressive. Visual Impact no longer have a base up here. The hire companies are now Progressive, Media Dog (Manchester company), Procam and No Drama (also Manchester based and run by ex visual impact staff). All the big players in cine are still based around London. As I said I could be wrong about what production this is. We do get sent information on locations, but I never actually look. Probably not supposed to say too much though. by EmergencyAd4225 (Thu 10th Dec 2020 11:28am)
  • Head towards Clydebank towards the West of Scotland College. Quite a lot of barren land. by EmergencyAd4225 (Fri 19th Feb 2021 12:32pm)
  • Probably an unpopular opinion, but I quite like the sound of marching bands. I don't however like the fucking knuckle draggers that play it or the wasters following along. Also, they're a dying breed, bands and crowds are much smaller than when I was younger. by EmergencyAd4225 (Thu 1st Jul 2021 9:57pm)
  • No fishing about it, I used to march up and down the living room when I watched Sharp as a kid lol. Although not sure why I was downvoted so much. Not all marching bands are bigoted, the ones in America during college football games are quite impressive. by EmergencyAd4225 (Fri 2nd Jul 2021 11:23am)
  • As long as that was the worst example you followed by EmergencyAd4225 (Fri 2nd Jul 2021 3:01pm)
  • Oh, there's one of those not far from me. Think I'll head along and pick up a few boxes. After that I'll be sick of them until another 15 years. Cheers! by EmergencyAd4225 (Thu 18th Nov 2021 12:21pm)
  • Do not be fooled by the Iceland or Morrison's knock offs. They are sent to trick you and lead you from the Zzapp. They may look the same, but under the veneer of multi coloured colored icey goodness they hold a dark secret. They are in fact bubblegum flavour and not toffee.......you can breath now knowing I have saved you from this. Go forth and locate the true Zzapp, which is apparently at the food Warehouse. However, I've still to verify this. by EmergencyAd4225 (Fri 19th Nov 2021 9:16am)
  • Up the old kilpatrick hills, which overlook Glasgow. I planned to propose up there, but the weather was shite, so just done our new house up and did it there. by EmergencyAd4225 (Fri 18th Feb 2022 9:52am)
  • Glasgow Club at Bellahouston had a steam room last time I was there. You're supposed to pay extra for it, but I've always used without paying more. It's not the best though. I would go to David Lloyd and say you're interested in a membership and would like to try it out first. They gave me a free pass before I joined the one at Renfrew. Just be sure to go during the day when it's nice and quiet and no kids. by EmergencyAd4225 (Fri 1st Apr 2022 1:19pm)
  • Unfortunately nowhere had them. Checked food warehouse and Farmfoods, but no luck. The search continues. by EmergencyAd4225 (Mon 18th Jul 2022 8:37am)
  • Aye, looks like this is the only option, then a taxi. He was thinking he'd be able to use his bus pass the whole way. He's pretty tight, so I reckon he'll just leave early to catch last bus from Glasgow to Hamilton. by EmergencyAd4225 (Fri 26th Aug 2022 10:59am)
  • That's what we're all doing, which I did suggest, but he wants to go home. Was just in case anyone was aware of any buses that would get him to Hamilton. I'll say to him it's not happening, so early bus for him. by EmergencyAd4225 (Fri 26th Aug 2022 12:52pm)
  • Everyone else is staying in Edinburgh, with my family staying all around Glasgow. He's the only one that stays in Hamilton. by EmergencyAd4225 (Fri 26th Aug 2022 2:44pm)
  • Nowhere. When I do find them, I'm filling the freezer. Fuck the peas. by EmergencyAd4225 (Wed 21st Sep 2022 6:56pm)
  • IKEA are pretty long and cheap by EmergencyAd4225 (Thu 27th Apr 2023 9:59am)
  • I work on Fairly street and made the mistake of messaging whilst walking. I must have gone about 4 steps before I stepped on one. Running a gauntlet every time I nip out for lunch. by EmergencyAd4225 (Mon 1st May 2023 5:43pm)
  • This is more expensive than London. We were £1.60 for a single which took us 30 mins from the airport. by EmergencyAd4225 (Fri 5th May 2023 11:25am)
  • GalGael in Ibrox rent out work benches and do courses on woodworking, blacksmithing and many other crafts. Only issue right now is that there is an unsafe building adjoining theirs which is being taken down, so they are temporarily closed. Should be open soon, so I'd drop them a message. by EmergencyAd4225 (Thu 25th May 2023 12:02pm)
  • It's not though. There are a couple of guys that I know who rent space. by EmergencyAd4225 (Thu 25th May 2023 1:01pm)
  • Not sure how much they charge, all I know is they rent out benches if you need them. by EmergencyAd4225 (Thu 25th May 2023 6:57pm)
  • I'm not a follower of any of it, but I quite like the sound of it all. I have always loved marching bands since I was a kid since my dad took me to the Edinburgh tattoo. Admittedly, the orange walk is a poor man's version filled with knuckle draggers. Also, maybe not at 0900 when I'm wanting a lie in by EmergencyAd4225 (Sat 17th Jun 2023 10:20am)
  • My wife's friend moved away for a while and came back and did agency work. Pay wasn't as good and there's no guarantee of work, but she managed to stay busy enough to make money and get her name out there. She moved away again recently, but she's freelance and always have work now so it must of helped. by EmergencyAd4225 (Fri 23rd Jun 2023 3:54pm)
  • I'll ask my wife, she's a 12h shift so probably won't hear back for a while. by EmergencyAd4225 (Fri 23rd Jun 2023 5:10pm)
  • I stay a few miles away from the airport and you can hear it taking off if I have a window open. Same for the other Emirates, not sure what plane that is though. by EmergencyAd4225 (Mon 3rd Jul 2023 6:35pm)
  • Tell her she is acting like her mum. I'm guaranteed one if I say that. by EmergencyAd4225 (Thu 6th Jul 2023 9:42pm)
  • Ewwww, the bus. by EmergencyAd4225 (Mon 10th Jul 2023 8:00am)

  • My local only does different shades of beige, I'm not sure a leafy veg has ever entered their kitchen. by EmergencyAd4225 (Sun 16th Jul 2023 7:27pm)
  • I'm with Hacking and Paterson for a flat near Oban I have. We had a leak in the roof and had to get it repaired for £1900. As it's a shared roof I am trying to claw the money back. Because the missives state anything over £1k needs to be agreed by at least 50% so we are still waiting on our money. H&P didn't help at all. They wanted me to collect the money from everyone myself even though half the properties are rentals and I have no idea who owns them. This happened a month ago. I'm just going to write off the repair on my tax return as maintenance. by EmergencyAd4225 (Wed 19th Jul 2023 5:48pm)
  • Me and the wife went into Bluedog and I got a pint of blue moon. If I remember right it was around £7.50. safe to say I just had the one pint. by EmergencyAd4225 (Fri 28th Jul 2023 4:47pm)
  • They are filming a drama called nightsleeper. There is a small set of the front of a train and the top covered in blue screen. Pretty cool to see. The main set is outside town, which is much bigger, but I never got to see that. by EmergencyAd4225 (Mon 14th Aug 2023 7:08pm)
  • Nothing, it's getting knocked down now. by EmergencyAd4225 (Tue 15th Aug 2023 7:33am)
  • They make grain whiskey which they blend with malts to make stuff like Famous Grouse etc. I used to work round the corner and hated the smell. by EmergencyAd4225 (Tue 22nd Aug 2023 1:23pm)
  • It is distilled differently and doesn't use malted barley. That's all I know from doing a whisky tour. by EmergencyAd4225 (Wed 23rd Aug 2023 7:35am)

  • They can be good if everyone is on board maintaining the property. Much cheaper and you can get agreements to work faster if that's the case. However, if folk don't respond or pay towards damage etc, it can be a pain in the arse, but that's the same for factored properties too, but you end up having to deal with it. Best position is if there's social housing in the block. Those guys don't tend to fuck around with repairs or maintenance. by EmergencyAd4225 (Fri 25th Aug 2023 10:58am)

  • I was in Paisley yesterday and they had a shitty TV for sale for £70 in a charity shop on the high street. It was a brand I'd never heard of and wasn't even 1080p. You can pick up a new TV for not much more than that. by EmergencyAd4225 (Mon 23rd Oct 2023 1:29pm)
  • Nah, I'd never heard of the brand and I work in broadcast and see a lot of TVs. by EmergencyAd4225 (Mon 23rd Oct 2023 6:08pm)
