  • I had the same situation cleaned it up a few times and eventually moved before it drove me nuts. by Haggishunter83 (Thu 23rd May 2019 8:07am)
  • I wonder if they should get school kids to litter collect a mile round their schools. Make them responsible for the mess they make and hopefully nip it in the bud for when they are older by Haggishunter83 (Thu 23rd May 2019 8:13am)
  • Nice eco friendly purple hair to match the boat. by Haggishunter83 (Mon 15th Jul 2019 8:51am)
  • If individuals stop buying products that are polluting to manufacture then companies won't make it. Governments do what the voters want. Blaming governments and companies is a cop out for everyone's collective responsibility. by Haggishunter83 (Tue 16th Jul 2019 8:52am)
  • Bold attempt to step up littering to arson and attempted murder by Haggishunter83 (Sun 13th Oct 2019 10:42am)
  • The massive no fly tipping sign above the pile would suggest it's not the collection point by Haggishunter83 (Tue 4th Feb 2020 9:40am)
  • I'm surprised it's not more. From the budget estimates they need to gather 290 mil this year from council tax. https://www.glasgow.gov.uk/budget They lost the equal pay court case which is going to cost an estimated 500 million pounds. A 5% increase is 15 million which would take 33 years to pay off this unexpected cost alone before you even start to consider the general increased cost in providing services. by Haggishunter83 (Thu 20th Feb 2020 11:12pm)

  • Nice sunny morning.. stay in the hoose!! by Haggishunter83 (Sun 29th Mar 2020 10:13am)
  • Will be interesting to see the virus numbers today for Scotland. There was a noticeable decrease in the number of new infections and deaths yesterday. If that was to continue this week would be a huge sign that we are nailing social isolation. by Haggishunter83 (Mon 30th Mar 2020 8:09am)
  • Really missing sport on the telly now. Tried watching the replays of old football matches and golf but it is just not the same. Match last night observation. 1991 looks really old fashioned now!! by Haggishunter83 (Mon 30th Mar 2020 8:18am)
  • I still think enough people are doing it to have a material impact. Will know for sure next Friday. by Haggishunter83 (Mon 30th Mar 2020 8:30am)
  • Surprisingly hard to stay at home for a sustained period of time. I don't think it is the staying at home part, more knowing that you can't go out. by Haggishunter83 (Tue 31st Mar 2020 7:56am)
  • The magic money tree that is being used just now is going to be a rock round our necks for generations. I think most people would agree that this is necessary but it's going to lead to more hardships in future, not less. by Haggishunter83 (Tue 31st Mar 2020 2:37pm)
  • Really need to get a survey done to check the state of the chimney. They can drop a liner down them for a wood burner, you need this as it burns hotter than old open fires. Glasgow is a smoke control area so you need to burn smokeless fuel or get an approved woodburner https://www.glasgow.gov.uk/article/17629/Smoke-Control---Frequently-Asked-Questions I would guess a min of 3k based on the cost of mine but that was in a detached house. Not sure how much of a multiplier it would be having to work at height and a longer flue. by Haggishunter83 (Tue 31st Mar 2020 10:50pm)
  • I recently changed GP and was in the same situation. I called and explained and they just sent out the prescription to the chemist I choose so didn't have to go in. They don't want anyone going there especially without an appointment by Haggishunter83 (Wed 1st Apr 2020 9:22am)
  • Number of deaths today is a horrible number and not being able to count properly is incompetent https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-52137361 by Haggishunter83 (Thu 2nd Apr 2020 2:31pm)
  • They really need to sort out the inability to accurately track deaths over the weekend. Unnacceptable when they are trying to use data to steer a response by Haggishunter83 (Mon 20th Apr 2020 12:39pm)
  • The only other ways to go north to south would be to go into the town centre which is already mobbed or to byres road which is being slowed narrowed and made 1 way for a section https://reglasgow.com/major-byres-road-revamp-wont-be-finished-for-at-least-three-years/ by Haggishunter83 (Fri 8th May 2020 8:37pm)

  • At least the noise is DIY stuff and will come to an end. My neighbours were fans of midweek all night parties and I ended up having to move to get away from it all. Fingers crossed when the work is finished you won't hear them anymore. by Haggishunter83 (Sun 31st May 2020 11:28am)

  • Second wave can only happen if people run about spreading it. I think Scotland might have started restrictions just in time and is about to start another decline but England is going to get battered through November. by Haggishunter83 (Sat 31st Oct 2020 11:51am)
  • I'd consider moving house. Nothing worse than not feeling relaxed in your own home by Haggishunter83 (Mon 2nd Nov 2020 12:36pm)
  • The fact the police knew the guy means this is probably a normal daily event for him. Because it's a one off, unique thing for you it's fresh in your mind. It will already be lost among another 10 fights and numerous upsets by Haggishunter83 (Fri 11th Dec 2020 9:12am)
  • If you are anxious to the point of panic attacks go and see the doctor. Some talking therapy or a few pills can get you back track. by Haggishunter83 (Sun 20th Dec 2020 9:49am)
  • If the new strain adds 0.4 to the R number then at no point in the last year have the restrictions been strict enough to stop the numbers growing. Until vaccinations it looks like tier 4 plus high schools shut might be required. by Haggishunter83 (Sun 20th Dec 2020 12:01pm)
  • Most buildings in the past were terrible too but the only ones that are still around were the good ones. The survivor bias means people think all old flats were great. Most didn't even have toilets by Haggishunter83 (Wed 23rd Dec 2020 9:55pm)

  • If the common areas or general condition of the close is a mess I would suggest avoiding. It means no one else gives a toss and it becomes hard to get authorisation for works. by Haggishunter83 (Sat 26th Dec 2020 7:25pm)

  • i think there is something wrong with the way they are doing it in Glasgow area. i know a few people now who shouldnt be in the running yet being invited. Im betting it will appear as a scandal in the news in the next few days by Haggishunter83 (Sun 21st Feb 2021 9:28pm)

  • Fellow glass collector here. Used to use big buckets pints in the corners. Short and long glasses in the middle and wine glasses lay them down in a lattice. by Haggishunter83 (Sun 28th Feb 2021 8:31am)
  • The middens mewnts the bin store by Haggishunter83 (Mon 1st Mar 2021 7:42am)
  • A South facing garden really does make a big difference to being able to use it. Make a list of things you want to be close to, train station, supermarket, pub or whatever and check off the list. Walk round the area at night and at the weekend and check that you feel safe and its not too noisy. Check on the council website at planning requests to make sure there isn't something crazy about to be built nearby. by Haggishunter83 (Thu 11th Mar 2021 7:54am)

  • The hotel's next to the secc around the Radisson red all have large outdoor areas now. Decent place to meet up. In town most places have outside seating now and have been good when I was there. Brewdog, hootenanny etc by Haggishunter83 (Sun 6th Jun 2021 12:47pm)
  • >belong to Hampden. I think that is a public park and ride that has nothing to do with Hampden. Doesn't stop them being able to close it and use it to further private profits though by filling it with fast food vans and merch tents. Is there a kind of fanzone thing at the ground or just straight into the stadium to stare at a wall? by Haggishunter83 (Fri 11th Jun 2021 12:30pm)

  • I'm not a smoker but it should be illegal to put things like no smoking on a tenancy agreement. It's their home and they should be allowed to live in it freely. Have pets or children or the occasional cigarette of they wish. by Haggishunter83 (Mon 30th Aug 2021 1:53pm)
  • Agreed it is an inconvenience but I think being free to live how you want in your home (if you own or or not) should take precedence by Haggishunter83 (Mon 30th Aug 2021 4:16pm)
  • If you can, speak to the neighbors and see if they are decent folk. Go to the area at night and weekends and see if it feels safe. Have a good look at windows doors and appliances to see if they will need replaced soon by Haggishunter83 (Sat 11th Sep 2021 8:19am)

  • It's not a case of punishing people. The sofa exists and it's on your land if you want to leave it there then that's fine. The factors work for all the owners and are only doing what you ask them to do. Fun part is when you buy a flat you agree to pay for stuff that the majority vote for and it's arranged through the factors who are generally not great. by Haggishunter83 (Thu 23rd Dec 2021 9:57pm)

  • Yeah babies are merciless on hangovers at 7 in the morning. No negotiation for a long lie either :) I've been finding working from home and generally being stuck at home has gradually led into more beers and wines in the evenings. Going to nip it in the bud for a while. by Haggishunter83 (Sat 1st Jan 2022 1:01pm)
  • >It was interesting on the bottom of one of the announcements that used band D as the example for increases at £42 a year. alot of the west end was a dump when they calculated council tax bands so many of those expensive flats are on crazy low rates. by Haggishunter83 (Wed 23rd Feb 2022 8:53am)
  • Additional hit is that you also need to tell your insurer if you get points or it could invalidate it if you need to claim. by Haggishunter83 (Fri 27th May 2022 1:18pm)

  • i saw some pictures of the stage and it was a circle in the middle of the pitch with speakers suspended high up pointing out in all directions. I guess that would help the sound travel more than the usual one side stage set up. by Haggishunter83 (Fri 17th Jun 2022 12:47pm)
