  • You make Glasgow a nicer place. Thanks. I wish this didn't happen in the first place, I can't believe how environmentally unconscious people are. by Inevitable_Fix_6636 (Sat 10th Apr 2021 11:35pm)

  • I will be downvoted and honestly don't care. That's how it feels for me after living in Glasgow for 4 years approximately as an immigrant (I am from Spain). I do have a nice job, and I have some friends (who are mostly immigrants as well, because for me it's been really hard to connect with the locals despite trying over and over). I have had really nice experiences living here that I will never forget and the city is fantastic. But I have to say that it can also be really depressing if you come from abroad. As others said, you might need to see a therapist just in case there's something more besides your Ulises Syndrome, but it might also be that you have experienced what it's like to live abroad, and you want to live that way, or you have changed more than what the city has changed, and you feel out of place. It's normal, it happens to me, and many other immigrants I have talked to say they feel the same way every time we go back to our home countries. I hope it helped, and I hope you find what you are looking for. Best wishes. by Inevitable_Fix_6636 (Wed 19th May 2021 9:17pm)

  • Thanks. I have seen this flat being offered for one month or more. I will give it a try... by Inevitable_Fix_6636 (Sun 23rd May 2021 11:07pm)
  • Housing in the UK is stressing me a lot as even though I have a nice job as a software engineer, I have to spend half of my salary on housing and just living in Glasgow if I want to live alone. But then, I look back to Spain, where I am originally from, and the situation is even worse. The offer in Spain is absurdly high because of the sheer amount of housing built in that country, and people living with their parents because they can't get a job stable enough to leave. Yet the housing prices are stupidly overpriced for the average salary over here. And this is happening everywhere. Canada, Germany, Australia, the US. by Inevitable_Fix_6636 (Fri 4th Jun 2021 2:05pm)
  • I am just seeing posts of 5 years ago about people renting flats at £500 p.m. and I cannot be more depressed because even in meh areas the price 1 bedroom flat is around 700 pounds (for something just ok) by Inevitable_Fix_6636 (Mon 7th Jun 2021 2:26pm)
  • I also thought it was a bubble and it'd burst... at this point, I don't know what will happen anymore. It makes no sense. by Inevitable_Fix_6636 (Mon 7th Jun 2021 3:05pm)
  • Thanks... Did you use Rightmove/Zoopla or Gumtree? by Inevitable_Fix_6636 (Tue 8th Jun 2021 12:34am)
