  • I just joined after being a member at Pure gym in Robroyston. It looks fantastic inside and 9.99 a month isn't bad but the only issue I can see is the limited opening hours. by Kn1ght0 (Sat 1st Feb 2020 8:03am)
  • Update: It's a pretty decent gym for 9.99 a month. Tons of space and new equipment with a large functional space the middle. The tour on the website is accurate but it is a lot larger inside. Never mentions that it's up 3 flights of stairs though. Also 2 platforms for deadlifts/cleans etc which is a massive boost in my eyes and a few rare isolation machines that I haven't seen in a pure gym before. The locker room for the men is nice inside with a grey theme although it is rather narrow and the sauna at the back is a great touch. Any other questions just ask. by Kn1ght0 (Sun 2nd Feb 2020 7:25pm)

  • Your right it's not wrong at all to stop a stranger that you find attractive, if they aren't comfortable then leave which is basic respect. Obviously this lad has taken the piss and crossed the line and then some. it's quite pathetic that the modern mating ritual is get drunk in dark rooms to bury your inadequacies or hide behind a screen "swiping". It's quite brave to stop a stranger in the street that you find attractive, 99% of men today could not do it. by Kn1ght0 (Fri 18th Sep 2020 7:11pm)

  • This is a good question. "should" is a strong word and I wouldn't say an individual should do it for one reason or another it's entirely up to them. I see your point of view and it is intrusive but you could say the same of speaking to strangers in any environment. by Kn1ght0 (Sun 20th Sep 2020 12:25pm)

  • I have an idea, I'm open to criticism. If the gyms close we can rent a container, get a few members together and we can chip in for equipment? Rakes of stuff on fb marketplace to buy and we could just use it 1 by 1 and clean it down? I can get a van though work to move equipment. Just an idea... The fact that those who pursue good health during a health crisis get punished is beyond insane, I haven't heard any gov tell its citizens to eat healthy, take your vitamins, exercise and get your 8 hrs sleep to mitigate the effects of this virus. by Kn1ght0 (Tue 13th Oct 2020 11:31am)

  • If renting a container and filling it with second hand Fitness equipment is "wild" then I feel sorry for your partner. The rules are in place for our safety and are very important but if gyms being closed again becomes policy, it is one devoid of logic and evidence which causes significantly more harm than good. by Kn1ght0 (Tue 13th Oct 2020 5:54pm)
  • How did you reach that conclusion? by Kn1ght0 (Tue 13th Oct 2020 6:08pm)
  • Pain is the gateway to hard drugs. pain caused by physical/mental abuse and reinforced further by people like you who treat them as criminals and not patients who are struggling. Legalize all drugs, educate and regulate and use the funds to staff rooms like this and help people get their lives sorted and out of the negative social circles that are caused by prohibition. • Keeping schools open and gyms closed while claiming to follow the science makes no sense by Kn1ght0 (Tue 17th Nov 2020 4:00pm)
  • The effects of consistent strength training are well documented. The positive effect on mental health at this time could not be more overstated, puregym done a study in their own gym which seen 3 cases per 100k visits as opposed to schools which are several times higher. Pretty vile practice especially as I live in a poorer area I can only imagine what this would do to a poor family. by Kn1ght0 (Sun 6th Dec 2020 2:05pm)

  • I share the same beliefs but we can't abolish violence completely, its intrinsic to existence. Have you seen chimps tear each other apart literally? Or the komodo dragon kill a deer then rip the unborn from its womb to eat it to? Nature is beyond brutal and we are no different. We are currently enjoying the most peaceful epoch of human existence so much so that we are more likely to die from suicide than war which is a first. by Kn1ght0 (Fri 12th Mar 2021 2:17pm)
  • Because there's money involved, lots of it. The west hasn't fought a just war since 1945. Look up "the military industrial complex" Unfortunately I don't think it will, the minute every nation on earth had no army someone would muster a army to take resources and land. • Thank you. As someone who drives round the city 40 hours a week the litter and potholes are well beyond tolerable, public bins overflowing from the west end to east is unacceptable given the tax we pay and and "environment" summit we have coming up. by Kn1ght0 (Wed 24th Mar 2021 12:14pm)
  • Not sure, if the job involves picking up litter and emptying bins then we should boycott it as to put more pressure on the council and subsequently make everyone ask why is the litter situation out of control by Kn1ght0 (Wed 24th Mar 2021 1:07pm)
  • It's a subject worth investigating. My little thesis is that they are aiming at the stereotypical young climate activist who will volunteer because they care and deem it worthy of their time to the advantage of the company organising the event. by Kn1ght0 (Wed 24th Mar 2021 1:19pm)
