  • Used to work here, got friends that still do. It's regarded as one of the worse stores to work in, management are a shambles. The good managers move on due to being driven out or move to better stores while the bad ones are left to run the show. Even though the counters may not have been popular, there's no way yo sushi are pulling more of a crowd with Milngavie shoppers. by NaNaNiiiall (Thu 10th Oct 2019 11:18pm)
  • I got mine pierced at blancolo 5 years ago and have had a ring since. It can cause some problems though, can be more prone to infections than studs, but I didn't have too many problems with mine. by NaNaNiiiall (Mon 4th Nov 2019 8:09pm)
  • Technically it is only the non-students accountable to pay for the council tax. I get that the catch in your scenario is young professionals thinking they can get the students to chip in, but there is absolutely no obligation for students to pay anyone else's council tax. by NaNaNiiiall (Tue 28th Jan 2020 12:00am)
  • There's roasters along my street who still have their tree up and spray painted "merry xmas" and shit on the windows. Fuckin state. by NaNaNiiiall (Wed 26th Feb 2020 6:44pm)
  • Apparently he did try and fire it. It jammed by NaNaNiiiall (Thu 27th Feb 2020 11:16pm)
  • Guy who told me worked at Sleazy's and said he was speaking to the Nico's bouncer. Didn't say I believed him though. by NaNaNiiiall (Fri 28th Feb 2020 11:45pm)
  • The strike ends today. by NaNaNiiiall (Fri 13th Mar 2020 6:33pm)
  • One of my module's coursework requires software only available in the uni. Module leaders are deciding how best to proceed with their specific modules, but we're not going to be continuing with the same requirements most likely. by NaNaNiiiall (Fri 13th Mar 2020 10:57pm)
  • If we have the ability to do that it has never been made known to me and I'm in 4th year, at least not in my programme. Module leaders have never made apparent if that's an option. by NaNaNiiiall (Fri 13th Mar 2020 11:47pm)
  • GCU, could be a different one. by NaNaNiiiall (Sat 14th Mar 2020 3:12am)
  • They're still advising students shouldn't go on campus though, but yes library and such will be open. by NaNaNiiiall (Sun 15th Mar 2020 6:56pm)
  • Yeah, one of us is unemployed and not a student so he is receiving universal credit. It doesn't cover all the bills for him though. by NaNaNiiiall (Tue 31st Mar 2020 4:59pm)
  • Thanks, I've applied for this but still not sure what to do about the payment due tomorrow. I've replied to their tweet but no idea when/if that'll get a reply. by NaNaNiiiall (Tue 31st Mar 2020 5:29pm)
  • Thanks, I applied through that and the acknowledgement said they hope to reply within 28 days. Do you reckon that just means not paying the amount due tomorrow even if they send through another letter telling us to pay? by NaNaNiiiall (Tue 31st Mar 2020 6:32pm)
  • Alternatively, send the cat up. He'll have a field day. by NaNaNiiiall (Sat 18th Apr 2020 2:13am)
  • If it is mcghees rolls, supermarkets do sell them, at least the one I worked at did. Delivery van would arrive every night around 12:30am when I would be leaving. by NaNaNiiiall (Sun 17th May 2020 2:07pm)
  • Been seeing "Scamdemic" written about in much the same way. Roasters. by NaNaNiiiall (Fri 12th Jun 2020 1:16am)
  • As an ex tesco employee, if I were to follow the arrows 100% on my shift, I would get a fraction of the work done and hounded even more by the managers. Obviously anecdotal and not really an excuse, but could be a reason. by NaNaNiiiall (Sat 11th Jul 2020 10:37am)
  • Was out for 5 minutes, went to the tesco near kelvingrove. 90% in store were wearing masks. Meanwhile 95% of people on the way past cafes/pubs, of which there were at least 10 times as many people than in store, had no masks or social distancing. by NaNaNiiiall (Sat 11th Jul 2020 10:35am)
  • Even in busier shops, a lot are advising staff to not say anything and just carry on. by NaNaNiiiall (Sat 11th Jul 2020 10:41am)
  • It's most likely just anecdotal, but as my 2 cents, I've had nothing but poor experiences with Virgin. Had them for past two years and would have frequent outages, at least a couple times a month. Have heard similar from others I knew who had virgin. by NaNaNiiiall (Wed 15th Jul 2020 12:10pm)
  • Bryan's done all my tattoos, highly recommended. Shame he's moved a bit too far for me. by NaNaNiiiall (Sat 19th Sep 2020 12:55pm)
  • It's so bizarre to me that we're on an upward trend of positive cases in the UK, with more daily cases than when we entered lockdown in March, and people are increasingly becoming more relaxed with not caring about it. by NaNaNiiiall (Fri 25th Sep 2020 3:09am)
  • I know you can do some council tax stuff online, might be able to do exemptions there. by NaNaNiiiall (Fri 9th Oct 2020 1:45pm)
  • I had similar stuff happen back in June. Definitely seemed screwed a bit but it seemed to go through at some point. by NaNaNiiiall (Fri 9th Oct 2020 1:55pm)
  • You catch covid from breath. You breathe through your nose. I struggle to see how it can get much more confusing than that. Why would you settle for second best protection when it is **so** easy to just put it over your nose? by NaNaNiiiall (Fri 16th Oct 2020 2:13am)
  • I'm not trying to be rude, but that seems entirely like your own problem. And not in an "I'm exempt from wearing a mask" way, rather in an "I can't be bothered fixing my glasses so I'll endanger people in a pandemic" way. You're not the only one at risk. Masks are particularly useful when someone infected wears them, as it helps prevent them spread the virus through breath. Like I said, you breathe through your nose. If you have covid and don't wear a mask over your nose, it is not unlikely that you will spread it through your nose. Honestly, why the *fuck* is it even on your radar that "it's still better than not wearing one", when like I said, it is **so** easy to wear one properly. Your reason for not doing it doesn't fly when it's people's lives that could be affected. by NaNaNiiiall (Fri 16th Oct 2020 12:58pm)
  • Not every day I see my home village here! by NaNaNiiiall (Sun 18th Oct 2020 2:51am)
  • Fuck off cunt. These people will go on out to shops and spread to essential workers, who could then spread to everyone else. This is how people die you fucking knob. by NaNaNiiiall (Fri 30th Oct 2020 10:42pm)
  • Because cunts like these don't follow the fucking guidelines. You wouldn't need to ask these questions if you thought of using your brain every now and then. by NaNaNiiiall (Fri 30th Oct 2020 11:29pm)
  • Don't want to be that cunt, but just take care where you go as we shouldn't really be going to or from Glasgow City right now. by NaNaNiiiall (Sun 1st Nov 2020 2:33am)
  • I agree, but so is physical during a pandemic. It's not one or the other. by NaNaNiiiall (Sun 1st Nov 2020 1:50pm)
  • Why is it meaningless? Do you think literally everyone just acts like things are normal unless a police officer comes up and slaps their wrist? Saying "everyone here should not leave unless essential" will mean that a lot of the people living there... don't leave unless essential. by NaNaNiiiall (Sun 1st Nov 2020 2:18pm)
  • Well that's what she's looking into now. If that's the case, then yes that will factor into whether we go into lockdown. If not, then we'll still be going by Scotland's overall situation. by NaNaNiiiall (Sun 1st Nov 2020 2:22pm)
  • True. If anything, I hope it works in order to get some kind of lifting for the holidays. by NaNaNiiiall (Sun 1st Nov 2020 2:30pm)
  • Don't worry guys, he's a fan of Trump and Farage, no need to listen to the absolute tripe coming from him. by NaNaNiiiall (Sun 1st Nov 2020 10:55pm)
  • Used to live right by there, damn glad we moved. by NaNaNiiiall (Fri 6th Nov 2020 1:58am)
  • By "right by there", I mean the street in the video. Was up at end of West Princes Street. Had problems with landlord, neighbours, general sketchiness. by NaNaNiiiall (Fri 6th Nov 2020 11:15am)
  • OP updated to say no envelopes for 18-29. Doesn't seem to be true. The NHS Scotland twitter posted for the recent link to register that if you don't register, you will still receive a blue envelope in the post. by NaNaNiiiall (Mon 24th May 2021 11:49am)
  • Nah, cases & hospitalisations are rising. Likely will be here for a while, waiting on more vaccination spread. Even if we went down a level, very likely things would continue to rise and we'd get put up again. by NaNaNiiiall (Thu 27th May 2021 2:37pm)
  • Fair enough you think that, but it's not always the case. Not all religious are bad people. by NaNaNiiiall (Sun 27th Jun 2021 4:43pm)
  • Fwiw, when I would play in a church band we would go practice earlier before the service. Granted that was usually mean start practicing around 9am though. by NaNaNiiiall (Sun 27th Jun 2021 4:45pm)
  • > That's an insult to free speech, even if we don't have any legal right to it What is it with this patter about how we don't have freedom of speech. Boo hoo, we've made it so that bigots can't get away with **intentionally** stirring up hatred. Oh the humanity. by NaNaNiiiall (Fri 2nd Jul 2021 12:09am)
  • Idk man, if someone can't go round deliberately harassing someone based on prejudice without getting their knuckles rapped, I don't really have a problem with that. > If you don't let even the most disgusting people voice their opinions, your country will fail to be egalitarian, as the minority will start to grow and force it's way into the mainstream. This is such a rich statement. Allowing people to voice these disgusting opinions maintains the status quo that we can discriminate against other groups, which *explicitly* leads to us failing to be egalitarian. Besides, people are still allowed to voice these disgusting opinions, they just get in trouble for it. You pose it as "the government" is deciding what can and can't be said, but we as a country vote in our representatives, who then decide what constitues hate speech. This isn't exactly out of our hands. And it's **hate crimes**. It's literally actions based on bigoted beliefs that actively harm other groups of people. Fuck every last one of them. by NaNaNiiiall (Fri 2nd Jul 2021 12:35am)
  • Absolute buffoon. by NaNaNiiiall (Fri 2nd Jul 2021 12:42am)
  • > Unless you're playing Halo with the lads I guess? Women can't play video games? In all seriousness, just because you don't personally value gaming communities doesn't mean a huge amount of other people don't either. Giving out 'free tips' to never mention video games might be applicable to you for some reason, but not to the majority of people. by NaNaNiiiall (Tue 27th Jul 2021 10:39am)
  • Pretty sure you still need a ticket, walked past on Sunday and seemed like people were being turned away for not having one. Could be wrong! by NaNaNiiiall (Tue 17th Aug 2021 4:56pm)
  • It is, as are other things said by comedians: a joke. by NaNaNiiiall (Sat 28th Aug 2021 8:51pm)
  • This is living proof that these buffoons have no idea what their values actually are and leap on any opportunity to spread bigotry. The Pope supported the Protestant king against the Catholic king. The Papacy was on "your side". by NaNaNiiiall (Sat 18th Sep 2021 10:23pm)
  • Legit. My first tattoo was 5x5cm and cost I think £40 from an apprentice at Nirvana. by NaNaNiiiall (Mon 4th Oct 2021 5:38pm)
  • They've done all 4 of mine too, but they're still very hit or miss. My lobes were pierced crooked and had a lot of difficulty healing, but my others were fine. by NaNaNiiiall (Mon 4th Oct 2021 5:41pm)
  • Back when I worked in Tesco I was once talking to a coworker about the squiggly bridge, and a passing customer interrupted to say "It's squinty, ya cunts". Fuckin bizarre. by NaNaNiiiall (Wed 13th Oct 2021 1:41pm)
  • Looks like you've got your ideal career move then. by NaNaNiiiall (Wed 27th Oct 2021 9:35pm)
  • Instead of having to get another train from exhibition centre to partick, you could continue on to hyndland and get the milngavie train there. Just FYI for anyone that finds themselves in this situation. by NaNaNiiiall (Thu 25th Nov 2021 9:37am)
  • Tried it last March. Was more expensive than it warranted, pizza wasn't anything special, and it was about an hour waiting in line at around 8pm. by NaNaNiiiall (Mon 17th Jan 2022 5:21pm)
  • Has to be bait. Makes the equivalent of £120,000 and claims Glasgow is too expensive to afford. BAMO vibes. by NaNaNiiiall (Sun 22nd May 2022 2:36pm)
  • Went to Kelvin college and then degree at Caley too - I agree that Caley felt like it taught the basics of a lot of areas instead of focusing, but fwiw I got a job in one of the areas that was covered just 1.5 years after graduating during the pandemic. I'd say Caley can be good if you're not looking to into production/live, more suited for programming roles. Recommended to use the honours year to focus in on an area you're interested in and it can lead to good jobs, but the obvious luck is a still a big factor. by NaNaNiiiall (Thu 10th Nov 2022 10:38pm)
